I'm hoping one if the stats gurus knows this. How much food does it take to go from 10-15 and then 15-20 please? I've been stocking up on food by keeping farms constantly running, but I'm sure it won't last long once a shrine goes silver!
It takes 10k food to get to Level 10. But because food requirements double each level you're only 3% of the way to Level 15.
310k food to go from Level 10 to Level 15. But because food requirements double each level you're only 3% of the way to Level 20.
9.920 million food to go from Level 15 to Level 20.
This is 134 dragons and 85.3 days breeding time. If you don't have Bloom, it's:
fog: 50 magnetic: 50 paper: 50
which is 50 days breeding time, which is a 43 day improvement!
Nice work, sir. That's 3 dragons every day though, which is 50 million in earnings required to feed them up. Could be done as I'm assuming this is only breeding in one cave, so the other can be making Mags for food.
Does it take into account the 20% savings of an upgraded cave?

No it doesn't. I have some other calculations at home that solve for a minimum "effective" breeding time, by including additional mags for food. I way over complicated this problem, but I'll try and post it when I get home tonight.

Is there a 20% savings? The limiting factor is the incubation time. The 20% savings only applies to the first born eggs, no?

No blooms for me and I can only check about 4 hrs per day for 12hours. It looks like my ROI is still the Oly's when u count sleep. What I need is a big metal rate.......but until then I still plan to ranch. Would like " cattle guards" in the " edit paths" and " barbed wire fence" for "decorations". Just blew $100 mil on the last island so barring a "metal dragon" miracle I will become a rancher!

Well, no. If you breed longer incubating eggs after earlier ones you're still making use of the time saved, and it will sort of reset it self overnight when you sleep. Mag, then Chrome, then Rust then Fog then Paper overnight can get done in that order without any down time.
Dear Master Fletch, I know you set out for me the best strategy to achieve the Gold Shrines, but with the release of several new dragons, the over- sight on my part of having hybrids that were not at Level 15, and now the release of the Paper Dragon, would you mind setting me back on track? I promise I will be more diligent in following your guidelines!
I currently have: Cold 32/50 Plant 32/50 Fire. 47/50 Lightning 33/50 Water 32/50 Earth 34/50 Metal 40/50 Air 41/50

Thanking you in advance...😊
You need:
18 Cold 18 Plant 3 Fire 17 Lightning 18 Water 16 Earth 10 Metal 9 Air
So ... Let's start with 3 Paper and 2 Magnetic, leaving
15 Cold 15 Plant 15 Lightning 18 Water 13 Earth 8 Metal 9 Air
15 Bloom, 6 Rust and 2 Iron, leaving
12 Water 11 Earth 9 Air
3 Mud and 1 Fog/Rain will leave 8 Panlong to wrap it all up. So 15 Bloom 8 Panlong 6 Rust 3 Paper 3 Mud 2 Magnetic 2 Iron 1 Fog/Rain
I had two blooms..I put them together and got a bloom..so surprised as I thought it expired, I got 48 panlongs..once I reach 50, I'll start blooms
This is how it works, and why so many insist on getting 2 of every limited dragon that is released. Once you have two, you can breed the parents together and ensure (100%!) a child of the same kind.
I am close to finishing my gold shines but a strategy is making head explode. I have a panlong army and blooms. I also have a single unhatched paper and maybe a second depending on luck. Thank you so much for any help you can offer.
Here Is my current state: Fire: done - 50 Plant: 35 Earth: 40 Cold: 35 Water: 40 Lightning: 39 Air: 36 Metal: 20

So you need
15 Plant 10 Earth 15 Cold 10 Water 11 Lightning 14 Air 30 Metal
10 Iron, 10 Rust, 10 Chrome and 11 Bloom will leave.
4 Plant 4 Cold 4 Air
2 Lichen, 2 Pollen and 2 Snow will finish them off.
I reckon it is time for a plan if you wouldn't mind.
I have pairs of all dragons since playing but no Love, Clover Reindeer or Bone
18 Lightning 18 Metal 28 Air 22 Plant 27 Earth 30 Fire 20 Cold 24 Water
So you need
32 Lightning 32 Metal 22 Air 28 Plant 23 Earth 20 Fire 30 Cold 26 Water
For speed, Paper, Magnetic and Fog/Rain is the way to go for the majority. The 36 hours of the Panlong is just too long. So Let's start with 20 Papers, 32 Magnetics and 22 Fog/Rain
8 Plant 3 Earth 10 Cold 4 Water
3 Mud, 9 Lichen and 1 Ice/Iceberg will wrap it up, so.
32 Magnetic 22 Fog/Rain 20 Paper 9 Lichen 3 Mud 1 Ice/Iceberg
I haven't gotten too far into my grind using your excellent template on the first page. With the addition of paper, should I alter that plan at all? My current numbers are in my signature (numbers indicate dragons left to go). Plus, I leveled one paper to 15 just because. Should I stick to your initial plan or alter course? I am on the slowly but surely path.
