The first island you enter is the isle of Panlong. These breasts guard the island from the egg snatchers. The dragon keepers here have their hands full trying to keep track of them all. They will sometimes lose one in the trees that grow here. Enter if you dare... You never know where these dragons are hiding...
If you travel to the east (right) you will come to the island of fire and lightning. The rainbow dragons greet all new comers here. The suns help keep this island warm and bright. (do not forget your sunglasses) but the wizards do not stay to long here.. Can you imagine walking around in a sauna all day??? And do not forget to wear some special shoes they say the ground here is like the sun it's self...
Keeping on to the right you come to the island of Ying Yang.. These dragons have no keepers. The northern part of the island is full of explosions that are toxic. Only the toughest dragons can survive here. Everything is rock and ash. But the dragons here are very busy.. They work day and night digging trying to keep the other island safe from the volcanic explosions.. In the south you have the valley of the blooms. These dragons give a peaceful balance to this island of havoc. There are protected by the golden force field that divides this island.
Moving to the south west you come to the marsh lands. This island is the perfect place for raising food. There are lots of dragon keepers here. There is a lot to do. From harvesting food to keeping the fast growing marsh nice and tidy. Visitors here love to stay. The air is crisp and clean with lots of water for swimming and tall forests to explore.
Moving on over to the Grand Island. The isle of games. You will find no dragons here. At least not on the surface.. They are all kept in the caves a waiting there chance to escape. One gold in the games and freedom is theirs. But if u lose then off to the pond you go. Here the dragons are sent back in time. They will return to the caves as babies so they may go back to the games. There is lots of history here. The proud dragons of the arena stand tall over the island gifts of flags and trophies. The dragons take their finally walk thru these dragons. Hoping for the gold and the tree full of wonderful rubies to return to the homes proud.

The final island is covered in ice. The wizards love coming here. They are able to skate around and watch all the wonderful dragons. There is no need for keepers here. These dragons would not survive off this island. They need the cold to live. But the one person that does live here is always busy. I mean can you imagine all those wizards skating around and slipping.. Right into the dragon pits. It can get pretty messy..
Well I hope you all enjoyed your self and we look forward to seeing you again soon...
With the announcement that two specimens of the brand new Butterfly Dragon are on their way to Islas de Fletch Dragoon, we have started we rebuilding the feature enclosure on El'ys Island to house them. Lot of magic required to make an Air Habitat, so more than 24 hours till the habitat is ready, and the dragons have moved in.
And after some work on the 6th Island, in an attempt to make it a cross between a clock, a calendar and a sundial, management realised that the idea ... well it sucked, is what it did. Work is now moving towards turning it into a village, focusing on some of the lovely architecture from the various lands some of our dragons have come from, with a lovely plant and water habitat.
Our park is currently still in the Design phase, while passers by will notice the main island is fully up and functional, what you don't notice is how all the other islands are a complete mess. And just so you're clear that we are most definitely NOT exaggerating, we don't mean it needs final touches. We're talking complete and total chaotic anarchy. Opening a park is hard work, and our owners are making us earn our pay. Haphazard habitats and paths that lead nowhere litter these islands, making it all but impossible to navigate without some type of magical Dragon-GPS.
But we can bring it together, it can be fixed. We have the technology, even if we lack any sort of vision. Our wizards have come together and promised that Island #2 will be finished today, ready for dragons to make it their home. Stay tuned as we bring you all the details regarding the creation of our wonderful park, because lets face it, how often do you REALLY get to see a park evolve from nothing??

And our Butterfly Exhibit is open.
We have 3 beautiful specimens on display of various size/age. You will notice how different the flightless baby butterfly (caterpillar?) dragon is before it metamorphoses into the adult. And the beautiful plumage on it's wings designed to fool predators. It is a spectacular dragon, and one we are very glad to have at Islas de Fletch Dragoon.
You will also notice our Bronze Metal Shrine in the background. You should come by quickly if you would like to see it in person, as it will be replaced with a Silver one very soon ...

Very nice Fletch! And now you're past the 900 posts mark!
Draconia city has become very touristic lately. Originally the home of the dragon tamers, many wizards have decided to make Draconia city their home. After all, it is the perfect place to learn about dragon lore, either from observation or from the dragon keepers (if you can get a hold of them, they are very busy!). The city expresses it's grandeur with their mascots, the rare sun, moon and rainbow dragons. Indeed the city attracts all kind of folks! Plenty tourists come to visit the city and the exciting coloseum. Many spend a couple of nights at the Inn.
Of course, where plenty of people gather there will be diverse forms of worship. Those who adore nature above everything go to the shrine of Thornbark in the city park and offer a prayer to him. The shrine of Zector attracts those who wish to offer a prayer of safety and prosperity for their home and family. The shrine of Kimzar the White is the most popular of the lot. All citizens of Draconia city will occasionally turn to Kimzar to thank him and wish for peaceful times ahead. The shrine of Slameg the Singer attracts many artists from all over the world in hopes to make it big in the city. If you are in Draconia city you should visit this shrine, there's always something to see!
Then there's the shrine of Razzak, reminding the people of the city that pride will be anyone's downfall. An interesting fact is that the construction of this shrine had caused the worshippers of Freecha to abandon the city in an outrage. This immigration was the founding of the rural town of Ayr, where Freecha is revered as the only elder dragon worthy of our respect. Despite their differences in the past, relations between Draconia city and Ayr are strong these days. Ayr provides the full amount of nourishment the city needs to flourish while Draconia city provides any service the town might need, including the maintenance of the air habitats in Ayr and the care of these dragons (the air dragon tamer still lives in the city).
Finally there's the shrine of the unknown fire dragon, attracting those who seek power. Generally this belief is practised in secret because the majority of the citizens of Draconia city look down on these practises believing they will only bring disaster. They say the name of that fire dragon has been lost to time for a reason.
The more observing amongst you will have noticed the lack of a shrine of Kessi. While originally part of Draconia city, the council has decided to donate the shrine to the island of Lemuria.
The island of Lemuria has been long known as the most successful breeding facility in the world. It has been the subject of many studies and wizards have concluded that the success of Lemuria lies in the peaceful tranquillity the island exudes. Indeed, there is no known dragon species that has not been successfully bred on this island. The island has become the provider of many dragon parks all over the world and built it's reputation with the healthy specimens it provides. On an interesting note, the island made a big reputation by breeding baby Rainbow and Leap Year dragons. A couple of the world most famous wizards have become foster parent of these little guys. The income they bring alone is enough to keep the breeding facility going.
As of 2012 the island has drastically reduced it's activities in order to start a re population project: the majestic Panlong dragon. In the wild this dragon has gone almost extinct and what's worse they are very difficult to breed! For this huge project the island has attracted the most experienced water and fire sage and a community of the Panlong district of Yunnan, devoted to the study of this grand dragon. These efforts have caused great successes with over 40 Panlongs born so far!
However, with this much water on the island there have been quite a few unfortunate accidents... Because Lemuria is a great asset to Draconia city, the council has decided to donate the shrine of Kessi to the island. Strangely, ever since the shrine was put on Lemurian soil, the behaviour of the Panlongs has shifted to a far kinder range. Actually since the shrine of Kessi was placed in Lemuria, not a single Lemurian has "gotten lost". Of course this has caused the Lemurians to become devout followers of the elder dragon Kessi. In fact, every so often a Lemurian will claim to have seen Kessi in one of the lakes. Unfortunately such a sighting has never been confirmed...
In times of old, the people of Draconia had an argument about the presence of the shrine to Razzak in combination with Freecha's. The followers of Freecha found this outrageous and collectively decided to leave Draconia to settle on a nearby island, taking the shrine of Freecha along with them. This island of Ayr had long prospered as a farming community, aided by the gentle climate of the island. Alas, after centuries of tradition, the younger generations felt the call of the city and left Ayr. Without young blood to aid in the farming, the village of Ayr lost much of it's output and respect and was on a steady path of decline.
That is until a young Ayrian called G. Uano made a huge discovery. As was customary for young Ayrian, Gordon was put in duty of cleaning the island of air dragon droppings. This was an important task to keep the life on the island bearable. While performing his duty, Gordon noticed a small, but glowing mushroom growing underneath the muck. Being from a farmer's family, he was aware of the Blushroom, but this was something entirely different. More to his amazement he noticed air dragons searching for these mushrooms and feeding on them. In a daring mood he tried one of these mushrooms himself and discovered that they were full of flavour and very nourishing.
Then it struck him, he knew how to save the village! He petitioned at the Draconian Council to get a new island for farming purpose. It was a fiery debate, but eventually with the support of some nobles the village of Ayr was appointed a second island, the island of Uano.
Immediately wizards started to transport the homes of the air dragons and the shrine and temple of Freecha to the new island. In a short couple of years the dragon's muck had done it's part and the entire island was covered in giant mushrooms. It gave the island a rather mystic, fantastical atmosphere. Even though the village of Ayr has privileges to farm the mushrooms, the Draconian council declared the island public property and it now doubles as a touristic location. To accommodate these tourists, a Draconian fantasy artist called Alice Pleasance designed the glass pavilions. A popular activity is having a royal tea party in them. But the most popular attraction on the island is, without a doubt, the seemingly juvenile Butterfly dragon which can often be found on a giant mushroom.
Finally there's Elix island. These days access to Elix island is restricted to those who get approval of the Draconian Council. The island is covered by lush forest which attracts only the most rare plant dragons in the known world. It is a treasury of knowledge on these mystical beings and part of many dragon tomes. It is fabled that the spring found on Elix island was once blessed by an unknown great plant dragon. The story claims that in order to save it's ageing companion, the plant dragon sacrificed itself. Where it turned into a magnificent tree water erupted from it's base forming the spring of youth. The story claims that the companion dragon was revitalised from the spring and spends it's life guarding the magical forest. It's said that even now it guards over those who need it's protection. Though we have never seen it, we know for sure that over centuries no one has harmed the Elix forest and lived to tell the tale.
Loving the revisit, Evans! Definitely imaginative, with th dragon shrines and that! Really neat. Love the turbo baby Panlongs, super cute. Verna. Fountains work great, and the center of that island looks very park-like. Butterfly houses look good with the natural terrain and mushrooms that Ms. pleasance laid out. Very pretty. I like all the limited decorations and dragons on Elix island, really nice and foresty. Lots of imagination and lore and story stuff makes it fun, makes it seem real, you know? But please don't send Mr. Uano to my islands. I bet he smells funny.

This was a brilliant idea! It is so much fun to see what other park owners are doing. And the designs & descriptions are so creative. It's amazing that different people can take the same elements & come up with so many different interpretations! I hope it's ok if I keep requesting to be friends, not for gem exchanges, but so I can visit your parks "in person".
