This was a brilliant idea! It is so much fun to see what other park owners are doing. And the designs & descriptions are so creative. It's amazing that different people can take the same elements & come up with so many different interpretations! I hope it's ok if I keep requesting to be friends, not for gem exchanges, but so I can visit your parks "in person".
Absolutely ma'am. We're all friends here.
Would love to hear a story about your islands.
I would love to have a story! . I can't seem to come up with one, but I'm working on it. There's so much to do--design, breed, feed, model & remodel. It's hard work creating a world! I need a plan....
I would love to write one too but I realize I can't even get the time to comment on each persons island stories but I do read them and love them all! You are all doing a great job creating and telling each individual stories and I am very happy to be able to read and enjoy them so thank you all!!!
This island is my "feel out process" island. Visitors can stay at the Drag Inn, if only staying for a short time, or visit the Dragon Library and read up on all things Dragons. My Breeding Cave, Dragonsai Tree, and Colosseum are my main attractions.
Blue Collar Island:
This island is where the work get done. Dragons are hatched on this island then moved to their proper habitats. Hibernation also occurs on this island. All Dragon Food is grown here as well. Visitors can stay in a luxurious Villa and dine at Ye Olde Buffet. Also, off the beaten path, is a great spot to view a mysterious glowing island.
Gemstone Island:
My newest addition complete with two, count them, two Emerald Dragons. More to come.
Natural Island:
This is the first Island where visitors can actually visit Dragons in their habitats. It was hard to keep the natural layout with my set up I wanted to do. It came together nicely in my opinion.
Love it, Lion. I like the checkerboard in front of the Colosseum. I wonder if watching the dragon games in the Closseum makes people want to go outside and play life-sized checkers! I really like the little spot to watch the gem island from, the four gold tiles. I also like the row of egg decorations. Are you going to run that all the way across? Or maybe hide them around your islands for an Easter Egg hunt? Ying yang island looks fantastic, very nicely done. Not every island has to make sense in a "visitable" way. This is a game, after all! I'm jealous of your two Emeralds! I only have one so far. If you fill your gems habitats with Emeralds, you'll get twelve gems per week, which is a lot! On your island with Pans, I like how you mixed natural terrain with decorations. Looks good. And making the volcano on the one dot and the warp-in on the other is cool, cuz the warp-in is those cold looking blue colors. I hadn't thought of that. Great job! Looking forward to the rest of the tour!
Hi, Lion -- very creative thinking here, esp your ying- yang island,. And I think you 've done a great job keeping the "natural" feel for the natural island and managing to get a lot into the blue collar island w/o overcrowding it. Very nice, thanks for posting so we all can enjoy it.
I' m soooo jealous of you managing to breed, not just one, but TWO Emerald dragons!

Thanks. The row of eggs on display will probably be moved. I don't have room for them anywhere else. :/ My other island that is not shown is really cluttered. Ya excited about getting free gems now.

You are welcome. Thanks. Emerald Dragons aren't easy.
Small update: Because of the discovery of the Gemstone dragons the wizards of Draconia invited some miners of the continent of Mythrl to help create a new habitat for those dragons. They set up a little mining community which they called Mythrl in honour of their home. Because the new gemstone island require a whole lot of maintainance and follow up, they have decided to stay and earn a living in Draconia.
Unfortunately some spells went awry during the summoning and as a result the island of Elix was lost from the archipelos. Some wizards claim to have seen a giant plant dragon summon a portal in which the island disappeared while it was plummeting down. If we can believe the legend, Elix island is safe and well in a place where nothing can ever touch it. That's what we care to believe anyway.
The Draconian council is currently still planning out the new island of Faberge. It is meant to be a tribute to all dragons, and it is proving to be quite a challenge for the island of Lemuria to provide all these eggs. More to follow in the near future.
I've enjoyed reading these and seeing the various design themes. It's interesting to see what people come up with.
I acquired my fifth island about two weeks ago, but it is lying fallow still. I've had no inspiration regarding what to do with it and therefore have not removed a single obstacle yet in the case that I wish to keep some. However, I remain in a malaise for now. Maybe, if I leave it wild long enough, a jungle will grow and I can add some tiger dragons.
We start out tour in Dracoville, a tiny village which subsists on tourism and the Colosseum. There is a simple, but cozy in, a library of arcane dragon lore for the researchers among you, and a park which is the only place you'll be able to the the exquisite Sakura. Due to magical properties in the park, these dragons don't need to hibernate but fly the skies year round. Pack a range of clothing as when we go island hopping, temperatures vary.
Close by is one of two wilderness islands. There is a lodge at our entry point, but you will not be able to journey to the far side to see the fabled Panlongs, as the way is barred by a live volcano. However, from the viewing platforms you should be able to see Lightning dragons, Metal Dragons and. fire dragons.
The tour will return to Dracoville for lunch. Then rug up as we visit Dratartica. This island of ice and snow is the home of the beautiful Cold dragons, showcasing the delightful Blooms. If you are chilled, pop into the Buffet for a hot toddy, or visit the fantasy ice palace.
Overnight in Dracoville, then we tour our Versailles park, home of the Sun King, and his Rainbow court. Here you will also note silver dragon shrines. After a picnic lunch by the pools we'll move onto to a gentle park where you'll see more Rainbows, a fabled Leap Year Dragon, and Air and Water dragons. There are pavilions in which to contemplate nature. One of them replicates in stained glass, the ice palace we saw yesterday.
After a sip from the fountain of youth - just a sip, mind, we want to take off 10 years not to carry park visitors home in a handbag - we visit the second wilderness island. En route you will see the truly fabulous gem island, some to be occupied by a rare Emerald, and the Breeding Island. Our destination offers you a chance to refresh yourselves and have a snack, then you are free to wander the island and observe the. Panlongs in their natural surroundings. Do be careful in the glen where the breeding cave is located, as broody dragons can be very protected. However, it is safe to visit the nursery, where you may be lucky enough to see rare dragon eggs incubating. Today there is an Emerald Egg, which is quite beautiful.
It's been a long day, but you can relax overnight back at Dracoville, before returning home. Or stay over and take in the dragon competitions.and remember, come back soon, we're missing you already.
