Okay here is the evergreen! I changed the face a bit, and added color to the eye instead of leaving it black.
Very nice! How long does it take you to do a drawing? Adding color to the eye is a nice touch. All black makes me feel there is evil lurking within.
I think adding the color also gave it more personality than just a plain black eye could show!
Well it depends on the dragon! This one took me about two hours with sketching, inking and then the coloring. But the firework dragon took me a bit longer due to the complexity of the wings! Sometimes though I put more into the lines itself because by the time I get to the coloring I get kinda tired. Which that is a habit I need to break. Another thing that takes up time is when you have a harder pose because something simple like when I did the Quake dragon didn't take me long to sketch out since that is a simple standing pose.
And if I just sit down and draw.. Without distractions I can have it done faster.

You are really talented! Do you have any ideas for original dragons?

By original dragons I assume you mean like the Fire, Grass, Earth, Water, lighting, air and metal right?
One of the things I like to do is find out what dragons people don't like and then draw them. Iceberg tends to be generally disliked, and I can understand. In-game he looks kind of goofy. But dang, I love his design! It's really quite cool.

I like the Iceberg, and I like your drawing. It is the Crystal and Mud dragons that make me cringe.

I think a few dragons just got addeded to my to-draw list
Okay, I do harbor a bitter resentment towards Crystal for those 24-hr fails... so there is some cringing for that!

I have a fondness for Iceberg & Mud & even Cactus bc they are so different, yes, goofy maybe, but not a typical dragon. Used to feel the same for crystal til that's all I saw for months! Ok, maybe weeks, but still...

Yes! I love that DV has a whole range of dragon designs. In fact... the sillier/quirkier designs tend to be more fun to draw. Don't get me wrong, I love drawing sleek and elegant dragons, but big, clumsy ones are equally great.

And to watch! BFS has done well giving them different personalities.
