This is Amazing!!! I LOVE it!!! Did you win the contest? Thanks so much for sharing!
I ended up getting second place! It was worth it to enter though I would have been okay even if I hadn't placed. Because I was really proud of how it turned out.
Lemmy! That looks awesome you did the obsidian so good! He looks awesome!
And that dragon hatchling is adorable!
Didn't see the 1st place winning drawing, but obviously the judges were wrong.
You guys are all fantastic artists! I love that Valentine dragon, with the breast cancer symbol added onto it for the event, it's beautiful. When I get home, I'll hopefully be inspired and submit one of my own.
Dragon lover they're so cute! How to train your dragon - Toothless <3

I didn't forget that I threatened to draw him! He looks like he's lurking just beneath the surface of a murky lake, waiting to strike. Playfully, of course...

Oh great - I have enough trouble swimming through weeds of any kind - now this! j/k The expression is almost sweet....almost.

Another great one! I really like it more than our original muds in the game. LOL he does look more playful

Lemmy, just curious, but are you using a Tablet to do these? Do you use a special program? If so, what programs/tablets do you have? I bought my daughter a Bamboo Tablet that she uses sometimes, but she needs a good art program to go with it. She does a lot of drawing on paper and paints too, but mentioned wanting to be able to use the tablet for her artwork too. I don't know how differently things translate from paper to computer. I wish I had a large scanner to be able to scan in some of her artwork so I could get prints made.

Yes, I do use a tablet; it's an Intuos. Once you get used to using a tablet it's a really fluid transition from pencil/paper to digital. Much easier than mouse art! I am not to knowledgable about the art programs because I can't really afford to drop a bunch of money on graphics software. However, there are some pretty nice programs out there that you can download for free. The one I've been using is called FireAlpaca and so far I've really enjoyed using it. It's not as fancy as Photoshop of Painter, but then again those cost quite a bit and this one was free. Hope this helps!

Yes it does Lemmy! Thanks so much! It gives me an idea for a Christmas present. My daughter won awards for her artwork last year and she has a piece hanging in the Canon Tunnel in DC for winning the Congressional Art Competition for our district. BUT, she is now in college and didn't take any art classes so I want to give her something for Christmas that will spur her to continue her artwork. She loves her computer and has the tablet, but I think just needs an art program to utilize it. I'll look for the FireAlpaca. I might check out your tablet too. Hers is kind of small and I bought it used a while back. I don't know how good a brand it is or if it works that well. She never uses it so I don't know.

Hey fellow art-y people. I just recently remembered how much I loved digital art, since I found my tablet while home on break, and of course, the first couple things I drew with it were dragons.
This is the hi-res version of my icon. I love evergreen dragons - they remind me of microraptors, my favorite dinosaur. ♥
And a (slightly modified) snow dragon. I didn't have a reference picture on me for the initial sketch, so a few details are missing. This was actually the first "big drawing" I did with my tablet.

I really like textures, if you can't tell.
Wow. You are really good. I can't draw even half as good, maybe like a tiny lil fraction. Great work!
