Halvus’ home is clearly in the Vale! Halvus, as in halves? Are the upper dots eyes? 👁👁👁👁👁👁👁 They look like the dragon’s eye.
I love the oppositeness of the two. One half, Hal, resembles a cute little buck tooth piggy bank, while the other half, Vus, is a skull-headed demon. Something for everyone to love and fear all at once! 🐷💀
Thank you! The eyes are all markings, sort of like the eyes on butterfly wings to spooky predators (in this case, slumbering wizards) And Halvus comes from Unihalvus, the Finnish term for sleep paralysis.
The dragon itself is only the cute lil guy, kinda like Arid, only in this case, no one knows exactly where it got the skull... 😆
Oh, a sleep paralysis demon! I like the idea of a dragon version. And I especially like how innocent and lovable Halvus looks, while harbouring one of the most terrifying experiences. Have you ever had a bout with sleep paralysis? Ugh.
I would like all your dragons to roam in the Vale. But we need Glob now. Full stop.

I've never experienced it personally but hearing others stories it's quite terrifying and I'm glad I never have. I've taken a lot of other inspiration from folklore surrounding the phenomenon, like some describe a creature that sits on the chests of people while they experience it.
You really love Glob 😆 I should revisit the sketch and touch it up a bit + maybe make a hatchling and egg

Decided to share some dragons I've made recently + a group I made for a camp event idea
These first ones were based off suggested combos from the discord
Next these are all from an event idea I had called "Campfire Stories", they are mostly spooky
Based on Slime monsters/Snails/Kwall dragon and- Campfire Stories
This one is based on mosquitos, don't worry, it only drinks red juice from certain fruits. Had "Moustique" as a name idea.
This one is based on a Blood Moon, it probably would be named "Crimson Moon". It too enjoys the same red fruit as the mosquito one and it tends to get swarmed by them.
Glob was a dragon I shared awhile ago in a miscellaneous design post, it was a part of a scrapped spooky camping event I called Campfire Stories, @metaphoricalrobin
adlerist really took a liking to the goopy lil guy 😄
Moustique was my favourite at the campfire camp out, but Glob stole the show because I thought he was carrying his lunch — a sandwich! Even though Worms informed me that I was wrong (Glob’s belly is translucent), there’s something very amusing about a dragon eating a sandwich, so the joke lives on in my head, and I have great affection for Glob and globwiches.
The Vale doesn’t have a snail dragon or a mosquito dragon, so those two would be perfectly at home. Some folks don’t care for bugs, so they don’t like bug dragons, but I really appreciate them. Burrow, Malefice, and the whole Chrysalis crew are all sublime. Moustique will have lots of friends. And Glob is just too perfect!

I also really like Glob. Plus, its name is awesome. G L O B
And I can definitely see the sandwich. I also thought it was holding something 😂

It’s a chicken club sandwich tucked under his arm and ready to go! 🍗🥬🍞

About a year ago, I posted this edit of baby Hyperion on Reddit, in which I fused the tail and head sprites together to make the completed dragon. It looked like this: So, after some thought, I am currently trying to design the full adult Hyperion Dragon, basing some of its design from the baby I made back then. Stay tuned...
The Original One is in all things. The Original One is nowhere at all. From all creations, over all creations, does Arceus watch over all.
I present to you... the Hyperion Dragon's true form.
Dragon Bio: Despite the failure of his last attempts, the brave wizard Kael continued to seek a way summon the Hyperion Dragon into the vale. Unfortunately, the wizard knew that trying to resume the incantation would potentially be harmful to both him and the dragon. As a result, he had to find an alternative method of completing the ritual - even though there were no such spells ever recorded.
Kael gathered up the rarest of his ingredients and threw them together into a potion. The cauldron bubbled and glowed with a teal hue, before eventually erupting into a mess of exotic-looking dragon treats. Hyperion, still stuck between dimensions, took a bite of one and instantly spit it out, looking disgusted. Stressed, the wizard did as much as he could to clean up the room before lying down for some shuteye.
The subtle noise of munching awoke Kael from his slumber. He turned to look towards the treats he had conjured to see a small pack of ten baby dortal dragons nomming at the food. Each one had a different color, and had been left behind in the Vale during pack travel. The wizard slowly got up to his feet to see the dortal dragons 'staring' at him, wondering who he was and how the treats got there. Excitedly, the dortal dragons started horsing around, teleporting each other around in fromt of the wizard, which in turn gave him an idea. He turned around and gave Hyperion a nod, in which nodded back in return.
Kael had the ten dortal dragons line up in order of their color before Hyperion. He ordered them to use their power on Hyperion, who was still stuck between dimensions. The dragonlings formed a circle around the dragon, and, with a bright flash, teleported him. When the light receded, Kael was met with the face of his beloved Hyperion, but this time with a full body-and no portal to tie him to another realm. He stepped up to hug hyperion, who was still exhausted from the moment. The dortal dragons giggled.
Who knew that dortal dragons would be useful for magical incantations?
Decoration Bio: One of the ten Dortal dragons which got stuck in the Vale. Find them all to complete the summoning incantation on a Hyperion Dragon.
(True form Hyperion will stick around as my profile picture for now.)
Very original idea to use Dortal dragons to teleport Hyperion through the portal. 😊
I wanted the dragon to be an evolution as it would be the most fitting. For the evolution decorations-er, "dragonrations"-I just thought of Dortal off the fly as I had no other ideas.
You may notice that the 'Dortals of Summoning' are really just recolored baby dortal dragons. 🤣 However, I had to include them in the description somewhere...

This is fantastic, Demuncher!
I loved the baby version teaser, and the adult is really incredible!
The dragon bio has a wonderful tale to further explain Hyperion’s backstory. The name change from Hyperion to Hyperus reminds me of the Mesmer / Mesmerus name evolution.
And of course, I really love the little Dortal decos!! Dortal is the portal master! ❤️💚

UPDATE: A new dragon has been spotted in my notebook:
(let me know if the image is broken)
Image is broken. I see no dragon. But I can see in the BBCode that you attempted to attached something from Google photos.

Gentle and lazy gelatinous creatures. Whitbee first observed these dragons when a whole rout of them invaded his castle, drawn in by the smell of candy from miles away. However, they didn't stop at the sweets because once they tried to munch down on Whitbee's grimoires, he hurried to contain this mollusk mayhem. Quickly tempted by the scent of fresh dragon treats, the gooey beasts were under control. Whitbee observed a strange habit of these dragons stacking their food before they chomped down on it. This prompted him to jokingly call them "Globwiches". Globwiches for everyone!

This is priceless! I love that the Glob dragons make Globwiches. 🤣

This is so heart-warming (heart-worming), Worms! ❤️🪱❤️
Glob is getting more adorable by the minute! I was thinking about Glob the other day (I think about him every now and then). He looks like a cross between a squirrel-gremlin and a snail. That gives him a little cuteness boost. I do miss his translucent belly though, and the illusion that he’s carrying a globwich. BTW, I still call sandwiches, globwiches! Nobody knows what I’m talking about. 🐌🥪

He's still got his translucent belly, just doesn't have anything in it rn 😆
