Gnarlautilus dragon
Elements: Water | Dark | Metal
Combo: Abyss + Conch
Quest: Chambered Troubles
As a hatchling, Gnarlautilus dragons are quite awkward swimmers that prefer to simply float wherever the current takes them. Rarely, they rise to the surface to sniff out the tastiest dragon treats. As the dragon gets larger, the more reclusive it becomes, now growing out of its shell that it cannot retract into. It has an odd rivalry with Ikatako dragons, occasionally sneaking up to steal treats. Wizards debated on naming it "Dreadnautilus", but found it to be too dramatic for this dragon.
Inspired by the chambered nautilus and vampire squid.
OMG, I LOVE Gnarlautilus! This would be such a cool dragon to have in our parks! He would get along so well with Ikatako (BFF!), and he’s a perfect fit with the other ocean and pirate dragons.

Gnarlautilus would be perfect in DragonVale! He’s totally different from anything else in the game.
I can see the vampire squid in him. This is a really creative combination of two sea creatures. I’m going to be very sad if Gnarlautilus isn’t in the game. Great work! I’m so impressed!

I’m not sure if you’re aware, but every now and then, Deca holds a Community Design Contest. There’s usually a theme, like Galaxy dragons, winter, desert, etc. Players can submit artwork, written descriptions, collages, etc of a dragon that fits the theme. And sometimes Deca adds a couple of the players’ dragons to the game!
Some of our lovely members have their contest dragons in the game. Worms created Ikatako, Khamsin, and the decorations Sunken Dragon and Inconspicuous Barrel (Ikatako Barrel); Arceus designed Oasian; Hawk created Lightmare and Nubis; and Alayzem is Frostwing’s dragon.
Deca hasn’t held a Community Design Contest in a while, but the next time they do it, you should definitely enter. I usually post the contest notification on the Deca Announcements thread. It would be incredible to see your creatures wandering around the Vale!
Thank you once again! I would love to submit a design for a contest in the future. This game has definitely been a big part of my life and I would love to see what the devs have for a future contest. Definitely hoping to do some more fan art in the summer when I have more time.

The Gaiety dragon flies into the Vale just in time. 🏳️🌈🐉
Name: Gaiety dragon

Combo: RAINBOW + SUMI
Quest: A Splash Of Color
Description:With a splash here and a splash there, these dragons enjoy showing off the vibrate hues their chroma-filled magic can create. Gaiety dragons gather all around during one specific season to share and show off their colors to other dragons and even people in the Vale. It's a spectacular sight to see as prides of these dragons fly through the sky painting pictures and playing together that it has become custom to parade in the Vale with them. These joyous dragons remind everyone to be proud of themselves for who they are and that it's better to do so with people (or dragons for that matter!) around you.
Mind-blowingly incredible, Worms! Love everything about this (and Sumi!). So deliciously delightful, Gaiety could be another Summer Sweets dragon! 🌈

Description:Discord dragons have quite the infamous reputation in which no one can agree on its colors or patterns. As opposed to some dragons whose scales can shift in a wide variety of stunning hues, no one can decide on what details these dragons have. Of course, it is mainly blue with hints of pink and purple- No? Where do you see yellow? Have you been hit with a confusion spell? It's quite obvious that it is bl- Orange? With polkadots?? What do you mean you see stripes?? You have got to be yanking my beard. Oh goodness- now will you two stop arguing?? It's neither white and gold OR blue and black! You are all driving me up the tower wall!

A new dragon, but this time, you all can choose the colors! Wanted to do this since it seemed like a fun idea. Glimmer is a new type of weather that I imagine has differently colored sparkles/glitter floating around along with color changing smoke. The combo used to be ANY dragon or element but I spared you all the fictional pain.
As for how it would actually work in-game, I'd say it has a good amount of different colors/patterns that could change with which habitat it's in, what the skybox/weather is set to or maybe it has different costumes. Not sure, I just made this idea for the community.
Feel free to color it in anyway you'd like, enjoy!
I love this too much, Worms! Very pleased to see that the Discord dragon inherited Delirium’s eyes. They are lovely! Nothing brings everything together like a blue/black-and-white/gold dress in dragon form.

Shimmering Habitat Gemstone/Crystalline
Your stunning habitat would instantly resolve the Crystalline Habitat drought that players have been complaining about for years.
The name of this habitat reminds me of the Shimmering Solstice mini-event that allowed Gemstone and Crystalline dragons to breed. Will the Gemstone/Crystalline dragons that reside in this magnificent habitat be breedable? 👀 Perhaps they could be in special breeding combos to create a new type of dragon! What a powerful habitat this is! I’ll take 20, please!

Description: One night, Nogard was struck with a strange dream that he was under the water, freely floating without a bubble and was able to breathe. In front of him was a massive coral reef, however, it lacked the bright and wonderous colors for a bleak and pale look. Unknown dragons swam somberly in and out of the coral and its features. One dragon stood out from the rest to Nogard, so he cautiously swam over to get a better look, calling out in a comforting tone to it. The dragon glanced at Nogard and roared out with a haunting, sad cry that shook Nogard to his core, something quite hard to do at his age. It was then he had woken up to some racket in where his cauldron resided. He sauntered into the room to spot a hatchling he had never seen playing with bubbles that swirled in the cauldron. It reminded him of the dragon he had just seen in his dream, but had much more color and life to it. He helped it out and introduced it to the vale, hoping it would grow to resemble the colorful reefs he had seen before.

Worms - I love Blanch! And I love the name too! This would’ve been a great dragon for the Deepest Depths. Even though the bleached coral is near the water’s surface, the dragon could live deep in the ocean. The baby is so cute!

Coral bleaching is such a tragedy. Now, this would make an excellent Apocalypse dragon!
I love how Blanch could be a crossover from the paradise event to Halloween. Definitely fits both.

Worms, you should design a dragon for all the disasters humans have created, like the reckless human version of the Four Horsemen dragons, although there could be a lot more than four. Just to name a few…
