Thunder boomed in the sky, lightning crackling all around the static-filled air. A lone, eerie tower rose from the ground, the earth itself splitting apart and causing tremors throughout the Vale. As dust settled throughout the newly-formed clearing, beautiful flowers and gems began to magically spring up in every which way. Astounded at this new miracle of nature, wizards began cautiously approaching the newly-blooming tower, unsure of what they might discover. A piercing screech filled the air, vanishing into silence after only a second. Another screech. After a long silence-filled moment one wizard stepped up to the tower door. A crack appeared at the top of the building, and a stained-glass window swung open. A hulking behemoth of a dragon, stunningly magnificent and impressively beautiful, rose from the building, letting out another piercing screech. As its wings unfolded, Nogard emerged from the crowd. An astounded look appeared on his face as if he couldn’t quite believe his eyes. “Lapidarius?”
This is outstanding OboeKade. He looks magnificent in colour - it really accentuates the amount of detail you have included. And I love the story of how he emerged from the tower.
I probably won’t be participating in the Rate the Dragon thingies because they would probably be a repeat of everything. Mainly the silly and ridiculous breeding combos and how costly they are.

I love your artwork (not so much the beheading, but that’s because it seems totally unnecessary). It’s a shame you never had a chance to enter the Community Contests.

DragonVale can be frustrating and oftentimes you’ve taken that to heart. I am sorry to see you go, but I do think you’ll be much happier without DV. There are zillions of games out there. You shouldn’t be spending time on something that upsets you, or settle for anything that does not bring entertainment and joy to your day.

@jacquirebriggs, so you weren’t quoting Deca, as you stated, and you also misquoted Koko, who never used the phrase 'spaghetti code'. You can see how this is problematic if you’re not only getting the quote wrong, but you’re also attributing the quote to the wrong party.
I think there was a general misunderstanding as to what the players wanted and what Deca attempted to do by adding the Dream element. They added the element at the request of players. While it may not have been implemented in the way you or others preferred, they are clearly listening to the wishes of the DV community. Deca is allowed to make mistakes, in the same way that Backflip made mistakes. The expectation from players should not be that they’re infallible and that every request made will automatically be added to the game or to the players’ specifications.

When Noel dePlante set his sights towards exploring the universe beyond, he was greeted with a magnificent deepfield view of thousands of other galaxies and stars - whole new worlds waiting to be explored. Who knows, maybe one of those worlds harbors the famed invisible dragon! Wait, was that a radio transmission coming in???
I based this dragon off of (surprise!) the Hubble Deepfield image, which is truly mind-boggling if you haven't seen it before. I wanted to capture the wonder and infiniteness the universe beholds.

Any attempts to interact with the dragon ended in treats suddenly phasing out of existence and gravity-related magic to become extremely erratic. He advised to keep any Empyrean dragons away from Singularity dragons...just to be safe."

And I like the Singularity belly of Empyrean, at least that’s what it looks like to me. It appears Empyrean isn’t just devouring all the disappearing treats; it has a Singularity appetite too!

I remember when Cassini gave us its last images as it plunged into Saturn after 13-years of dedicatedly touring Saturn. It wasn’t possible to let Cassini come home, so it had to meet its fiery death. It was enormously sad. Honestly, I’m still not over it.

Glad you guys enjoy the dimensional theme of Empyrean, adlerist and MinyaZ ! 😄 I had a blast relearning how to animate dragons and I'd love to try it on more entries in the future.
Could it have eaten a Singularity dragon? Not even astromancers know and they'd rather not find out 😆
