Thanks! The design began as candyland/sweettooth themed believe it or not, but it ended up fitting the sleepwalking vibes when I imagined its animation with the arms. Dream dragons are my favorite to make. I usually don't submit pre-made dragons into contests since its a lil unfair to others and it can be difficult to integrate the dragon fully into the theme of it but I may do it one day if I'm really not feeling up for the task and the contest theme fits. 😆
Sleepwalker’s legs remind me of Smigi’s arms. The two of them would get along smashingly! This is one of my favourite dragons you’ve designed, Worms — the list is growing long. 😃

Although there was a sweet dreams theme, so Deca may not have a sleepy theme again. But if they did, Sleepy would undoubtedly prevail because that is right up her alley and in her wheelhouse.

I've always loved how Smigi got around with its arms, but I don't think you're gonna be seeing Sleepwalk do any flips and tricks anytime soon 😆 Depsite the difficulties with the animation, I'm so glad people enjoy this design in the end! I hope they host another contest centered around dreams, maybe even bad dreams, my Halvus dragon would fit right in. 😄

a lot of inspiration actually came from Terraria and it's Hollow and Aether biomes, both share a dreamy, whimsical like atmosphere that I imagine Sleepwalk frequents a similar place in its dreams 💤

Worms, you always nail your fanart drawings! I LOVE them. If DECA hired you as a design artist, I would be really glad. Although I have a feeling that will not happen anytime soon.
Although I do enjoy the breeding combo of SNOOZ + SHIMMER, I feel like an alternative breeding combo of SNOOZ + LULLABY would also work, since lullaby is always sleeping. It would inherit the appearance from snooz and the personality from lullaby.
You know how it has been over 7 years since DV has added a Gemstone dragon?
If you've been on the Forum since Feburary, you might also remember the Fletcher Dragon I created on Fletch's memorial thread.
In truth, the Fletcher dragon, surprisingly, is actually a beta design for a dragon I am working on currently. The current project features a Gemstone Dragon, which will have a similar style to the Fletcher Dragon... but a lot more elegant.

According to legend, this dragon only appears before the purest of heart. At least it's snout does not grow when it senses something suspicious.
This is so lovely! It reminds me of Maze and Fomhar. The Dragonsai Dragon looks like their offspring. This would be a wonderful Gemstone / Crystalline dragon!

My next project is currently in progress. It will not be completed tonight, although it should hopefully be done within the next few days.
This particular artwork-in-progress, as well as some of the future projects I have in store, revolve around the missing golden hybrid dragons. As you might know, there are a few combinations which currently do not exist:
Fire + Dark
Lightning + Light
Water + Lightning
Air + Lightning
Air + Dark
Metal + Air
Metal + Light
Metal + Dark
Dark + Light
Hopefully, I plan to design a dragon for each of these missing combinations. The first one in which I have decided to design is somewhat surprising - the opposite hybrid for WATER + LIGHTNING. Although Fire/Dark and Air/Lightning are certainly easier combinations to visualize, a great idea for Water/Lightning struck my mind before anything else.

Description: It's unknown where exactly these dragons lived before they were found in the vale. A hatchling crash landed in a field of pumpermelons and was found snacking on some. When the farmer hurried out to examine the crash site, the hatchling froze upon being spotted and quickly slipped back into its oddly shaped shell, flying off in the night sky where it came....until a whole fleet of Goobien dragons returned the next night to wreak havoc upon the poor pumpermelon farm.
