Hi mods and other technical skilled people Yesterday evening I couldn't access the forum. It seemed hacked to me. Everytime I tried it, I was redirected to the App Store (Empire four Kingdoms). Really annoying. After some time when I tried it again, it worked. But what was really astonishing to me : there had been postings during the time, when I coulcn't access the forum. How can this be ? Could the hack be only affective for Europe ?

This has happened to me a few times. But rarely. I think it is the result excessively vigorous marketing by a few unscrupulous companies. What was particularly worrying was that once it took me to a porn site. Not the sort of place I frequent. However every time it has happened I was using the iPad and couldn't be absolutely certain I didn't accidentally tap an ad. For what it is worth, it has also happened when visiting other sites

Have only had that happen when using the iPad, usually while traveling in the car and tap an ad by mistake, like Greg mentioned. But, those ads should never, ever take you to an adult site. If going to an adult site ever happens again, report it to a staff person so they can inform Proboards.
No, I didn't tap on an ad. I used my link to the "new posts" page. Because this didn't work ( tried it several times) I went to the landing page. The landing page was ok, but all links to the forum on it brought me to the app store. Only the link in the down right to optimizing your park worked. From there I tried to get to the other pages which brought me to the app store again. Even the button "members" and "messages" linked to the app store. It was kind of frightening. I made my husband try it on his ipad and it was the same on that one too.
I didn't know when it started, but since I noticed it , it lasted for about half an hour. Then everything was fine again. But seriously, it wasn't an ad I tapped on.

Checked with Proboards and it looks like they were having an issue yesterday, but didn't see your exact issue being redirected to the app store. Most people were getting an "Oops" message. Were you using the mobile app, or browser?

I use Safari on my Ipad2

Hmm. When I visit the forum using Safari on my iPhone, I usually get redirected to the App Store as well. I've gotten used to it and just swap back to Safari when it happens. I assume it has to do with the forum being supported by ads? I don't think it's happened on my iPad though.

Please get out those links to the app store ! There are several pages which I can't read because every time when I try to do so I'm immediately linked to the app store.( Game of war - fire age) For example the latest page of the last call for Gourd comp. That is really annoying. It happens on my ipad (using safari), when I'm using my PC(not apple) everything is fine.
I remember there was someting similar linking to another game not long ago.
