Every time you win a battle you face a default set of opponents next time, depending on your level. If you keep winning, you keep facing the same opponents. We should make up a table to show what they are for each level.
I'm looking at a Floodlight backed by Science at level 22. I think I might have lost the previous battle, though, checking to see if a Floodlight could handle a Caterpillar. (It can't.) Still, hadn't seen any floodlights in a while. I'll come back tomorrow and let you know whether the usual suspects are back.
Yeah, isn't that odd how we got such an assortment of opponents, then it changed to basically the same pair? I'm @ level 17 and the system stays this way. Nemo was in my arena, too. That guy really gets around. He should look very tattered though, because my Grinder beat him severely.

I hadn't been looking at the bots closely enough to see what gizmos they have... (I'd edit this post on my next few observations of the arena)
though: level 11: (my highest lved bot is lv9.... no idea if that affects the maximum level of the opponent) (I use a lead lv9 bot, and a lv5 support for most battles. sometimes I use a lv9/8 support bot.)
Lead bot type: caterpillar names: Nemo, Lance levels: 7-9 (varies, seems to have no relation to the support bot lv) HP: Level 7:210........ Level 8:240........ Level 9:270 gizmo: -Nil- *rare*: carrot gimzo, drill gimzo, and stinger gimzo (unconfirmed)
Support bot type: carrier names: Porter, Marek, Drogher, Jade, Joan, Hermes, Nimitz levels: 7-9 (varies, seems to have no relation to the lead bot lv) HP: Level 7:91........ Level:8:104 ........ Level 9:117 gizmo: probably no gimzo, there's no image handy i can compare with.. *rare*: scary ghost gizmo
(also, remove the table spaces for levels 1-9 in the "ARENA BOT OPPONENTS PER LEVEL" table) ....since we can only buy the arena at lv10, so it's kinda not applicable at all. Also, a suggestion here! While it's very difficult to determine charge lv, I think we can note down the HP of each bot (at each level?) !
the opponent bots seem to wear a gizmo occasionally (a very rough estimate would be around 10%?)

There was unfortunately a flu going around on gizmonauts and only caterpillars and lasers are not KO.

What DarianWebber said. Hit points, or the total damage bots can take before they are unable to battle.....
Also, I editted my post (about the arena bots) a little. Do I need to fill it with any other information?
I am a level 15 and it has me fighting a Caterpillar & Science bot. Why is it having me fight a Science bot? I can not even get a Science bot until level 16. I am winning the battle by using the Grinder w/ Red disc (Thanks for that tip, it was well worth the 25 crystals).

Maybe it's cuz your just so good they had to try something harder.

They are pretty easy to beat....no different than the other guys...
