I'm a few days from buying my next island and then several days to arrange for permits and get them in to clear the land and put in sewer and water. But I'm happy to watch.
There are many of us in that position. The comp will not be starting for a week, so plenty of time for all to play.
Can participants use their existing decorations and dragons? Or is the expectation to buy new stuff? Does the 20 mil include gems, or, how would gems figure in? (I'm pretty broke, and have about 2 1/2 levels to go to lvl30, and the 6th island, so I don't even know if I'd be able to participate, but will definitely watch with great interest!)

Of course they may use anything they already have, up to the budget decided by this poll. Most people won't have a spare habitat anyway, so I'm assuming they'll just be moved from other islands.
Gems don't really enter into it, unless people want to grow dragons and speed them up ... or speed up the creation of a habitat. With a few days to do it though, none of that should be necessary.
And it doesn't have to be created on the 6th island. Any island in the park will be fine.
I want to play, but i already have my 6th island and i dont want to move around any of my islands cause i like em too much!! BFS we need another island!!!

Now Judges ... who would like to put their hands up? And what sort of Criteria should we have. I'm thinking it would be good to have 4 or 5 criteria, a score given out of 5 for each one, then 5 or 4 Judges so that when all the scores are added together it gives a score out of 100. That sound reasonable?
So what judging criteria can we have? Some suggestions:

And let me know if you would like to be a Judge. If we're going to limit the number, and we get more than we need, a random draw to decide who judges sound reasonable to everyone?

1. Use of decorations 2. Overall aesthetic design 3. Colour ? 4. Budget 5. ?
Like the idea of having Budget as a criteria. Best use of the money. And anyone that goes over budget gets 0 in that category rather than disqualifying them.
