I'm attempting to get into this thing, level 7 now I think, might be hardprssed to make it to level 9 by tomorrow though. While I feel like a babe in the woods in this game, liking the aspect of visitors speeding things up and the more itemized view letting you know who helped out. If I can make it level 9 in time, I'm in. Might need some crystals to help that along though, or maybe someone to log on and play as me while I get some sleep tonight. Trip to NYC cancelled due to the hurricane aftermath so I'm now online (instead of mostly offline for the weekend)

Just sped you up and see that you have bots done breeding and you are on your way to 9. I think you will make it. Sign up goes through tomorrow, so the comp actually starts the when I get up and close the comp on the 3rd. Hope that I sleep in.

Now I remember what DV was like a year ago, when I had nowhere near enough food, money, gems, or space to get anything done.

I would like to sign up having gotten my first nature hybrid breeding. To be clear, each go needs what? Three or four elements? Gcid Edit to note that the breeding thingie should be done today, 2 okt which is the deadline to enter, so it will be all hybrids once these finish.

We believe it to be 3 elements. Confirmed combos so far are: Grinder/Harvester Carrier/Harvester Grinder/Mole Grinder/Safety - gently recommended by the Sandbox as having the shortest fails. Have not seen this one confirmed. Use at your own risk.
There is some suspicion that nature is required to be in the mix, since the Astro shows up in the market at level 9. I'm going with nature, plus at least one of builder or miner, with a total of three or four elements. That gives me enough flexibility to go for the hybrids that show up in my goal while (hopefully) still giving a shot at the Astro.

Sandbox/Combo finder says Grinder + Trainer (I didn't see Grinder + Safety for Astro). I think you might mean Flower + Safety or Harvester + Safety which includes the Nature element.

That log jam gets me too. I had a caterpillar in there that blocked one spot for the longest time. I see some people have three spots so I'm guessing there will be the ability to upgrade on a future level. I'm on level 11 and have two spots on my nursery station.
Hmmm.... Is that the correct terminology? I'm so used to DV. The bots don't really "breed". They just use parts from each to build a new one.....hmmmm...

You can upgrade whenever you want to, no level restriction; it costs 10 crystals for the second slot, 25 for the third, and 50 for the fourth. (I went ahead and bought the 50 crystal bag to upgrade mine, since I am getting at least $2 worth of enjoyment from this.)
Thanks to Pixie and corey for speeding up my Mole bot! Will be very excited for it to finish incubating so I can start breeding for the Astro. Oh and, I've been giving out my 3 crystals with long time gaps, in order to get the free one from the goal that keeps returning, so if you gift me one, I'll definitely gift back, it just might take a while!
