With the new month, comes a new installment of POTM. It works like this:
You find a post you like and you nominate it for Post of the Month. You do this by quoting the post and adding the comment "Post of the Month" or if you think you can pull it off, simply "POTM". A Mod will move your POTM Reply to this thread. Conversely you can right click on the "Link to Post" at the bottom of each post and Copy Link Location. Then post in this thread with "Post of the Month" (or "POTM" if you think you can), right click in the thread and Paste.
You cannot nominate your own post ... I mean c'mon ... that's just really lame ... no matter how cool/funny/clever/poignant you think you were.
Each post can only be nominated once. The first person to do so gets the nod.
On January 1st (or thereabouts, I mean, we're all working folks here, well most of us) we'll make a Poll with all the nominated threads and everyone here will be invited to vote for their favourite thread. You'll have about a week to vote.
So about the 7th of January we'll have a winner, or more accurately, two, because the original poster AND the person who nominated them wins. What do you win? Gems of course. And now Crystals. The mods will give a gem and a crystal (if they're playing Gizmonauts) to both of the people that win the poll.
So, to sum up. - Make good posts. - Nominate good posts. - Vote for posts. - Profit.
Why do you hate your life? Seems you have super-koala now. Your game works, you wrote two new stories, you ate a koala, people who drank too much glögg are excited for your stories, everyone knows you as Alice, dancing rats chase you in your dreams, you ate another koala, and you have grown to like being called Alice. How is there some not to love here? Rejoice! Eat another koala! Alice!!!

I have a recommendation as a METAL member of the forum. divide the voting into funniest as that is basically what this string is about it seems and add a category for MVP (most valuable post). Then we vote one in each category. So a post like lungbutters would get some recognition being it did more to help people then any other post in Nov. I respectfully submit for your consideration. The most valuable post would be one that enlightens or helps the general population the most.

Not a bad idea. Similar to my idea of a most helpful member or whatever. Didnt think it out lol. Kinda hard on myself & thiught it was bad...(:

Fringe is good, but was too graphic for my wife, so might not suit you. Nothing else is coming to mind ... most of what I watch is comedy at the moment.

Nice idea, but it means 2 polls, or 2 votes in one poll, and some months we won't have an MVP so it would be somewhat forced. I think we'll leave it up to people to pick their POTM using what ever criteria them deem important.
ChiliPepper= Potm! Yup. A bunch of pixels! Happy, happy, joy, joy! A decoration "closet" would be sweeeet, too, & I love the image conveyed with a floating stocking, for all our loot!! Panic button firmly yet joyfully pressed--can't find how to breed leap year or where Fletch's guide is, help! I'm discombobulated!
Apologies if I'm in the wrong end of the forums, but where might I go to procure some people to whom I may send gems (and, hopefully, from whom I may score gems)? I added a bunch of people on facebook, just for the hell of it - but it seems to me like I've been had ^^ getting one gem in return every 1 or 2 days. Is anyone, perhchance, forming a gem-cartel... circle, thing that I might jump in on?
