62, sometimes feel younger and sometimes older, which is probably the norm for my generation. Nice poll

I wonder if this demographic spread is a true sample of the core of the dv players or if it just reflects that more people of a certain age who play dv frequent forums about it? I would have never guessed the age bracket for this game if it holds as an overall dv statistic.

I would have never guessed the age bracket for this game if it holds as an overall dv statistic. Your question got me to wondering about our entire membership. The poll represented a small percentage of our membership, so I took a look at the entire body of registered members and came up with the following stats. Still leaves many questions as to how this compares to the over-all age range of all DV players, but it is a larger sample. Also, 13 is the minimum age to join ProBoards and we know by the poll that 2 members admitted to being under that threshold, so the 13-19 range may be off a bit.

I'm thirty-six, though my attitude is younger on purpose because my disease makes me feel older and rotten. It is a virtue to be child-like, not childish.

I missed this. Although I would've liked it if we could have had several votes so that we could include other members of family any of us have enticed into playing.

In fact I think I may have had before children. Now I can't keep up with the kids and am in way too much pain whereby the meaning of patience goes right out the window, so I just end up feeling old and grumpy. Will definitely try and remember what you've said though next time I'm about to grump!

I'm 31. With a two-year old so. Usually I feel 65 or so. At least once he's in college I won't care that he doesn't sleep through the night!

I am 49, I have a 24 year old, a 20 year old and a 5 year old.
I feel ancient, and the little one has more energy than the other two ever did. He is such a delight, but he certainly does NOT keep me feeling young. Keeps me acting young though, for which I'm grateful. Outside skating for hours, adventures in the woods, making up silly stories at bedtime...

I'm 19 with a birthday coming up in mid-february. My father used to troll me when I was little amd I asked his age. He was 10 years older than my mother, but when she was 30 I would ask him and he would say he was 18. I fell for it for 3 comsecutive years, much to my mother's chagrin lol I think I'll use the same strategy when I have kids.
