Bigjointsmokin--I am just a forum member, not one of the mods or administrators. I am really sorry you chose to word your first post that way. If you took a poll, I think you would find that 99.9% of our members think this is a really well run & organized forum, full of friendly, generous, intelligent, gracious people. Those in charge of admin listen to our suggestions & work very hard to make this a place to easily find info & if someone ever has a question, someone else is quick to answer it. I do hope you will take the time to really look around & get a better idea of just what a great place this is. Then if you have a suggestion, offer it in a helpful, non-critical manner. As our forum founder says, we foster a spirit of Aloha here.
What type of problems did you have in mind? Can you give a couple examples? Sounds interesting.
A few problems that I had in mind were: o Friend List/Park Visiting Crashing with suggested solutions o Gem Tree gifting with its timely functions, including solutions for the 24 hour bug/wait. o The difference between signing into DV with a Local Park or Gamecenter Park o Power Cycling/Reinstalling further explained for updates o Overall crashing with suggestions on what you can do to help your device / optimizing gameplay o Etc... And so much more with basic solutions found in the BFS FAQ.
After seeing many posts with the same problem many players face, thought it would be nice to have a section just for that. A quick reference guide for fixing problems that we all may face during our experience in DV. Of course, solutions can be updated when bugs are removed, glitches are repaired, and kinks are fixed.
I completely agree and think that this would be very helpful! I have a few ideas on how to incorporate it into the flow of the thread as well. Maybe it would be a help for any 'newby' to the game and/or our forum!
Shirley~ I would love to send you a PM about this if you are still interested in some feedback! Just let me know! It's almost 2am right now here, so not going to send one at this time. Lol! I would likely get myself in trouble. 😖😜

Glad that you agree with this! It will be great to have a diversity of solutions to help certain technical issues in DV that are not mentioned otherwise.
Have created a here where this idea can be developed. Have locked it until ElectronX has an opportunity to pm me she is here at the same time and can make the 2nd post. It's a great idea to pool knowledge in one place.

I am a relatively new member here. I like it here. I feel welcomed and at home. A little discombobulated that as soon as I join up, some lead people back away... Did I do that!! Beginning to think I'm bad luck, but I never ever took any souvenirs back from Kilauea, I promise! Aloha to all my new friends!
Question: what is the difference between a mod and an admin?
Admins have extended rights on the management of the forum, they have access to additional tools. They form a team with the mods and together they make sure that this place remains what it is, a nice, heartful and welcoming place where we enjoy sharing our DV adventures and things of our lives. All admins and mods being under the leadership of our forum founder Poppy of course!

To put it another way ...
All members want to be Mods. All Mods want to be Admins. And everyone wants to be Poppy.

Yup, that about sums it up!
A moderator can modify someone else's post (thereby moderating personal attacks, for example). Can also create new threads and move threads, or move posts from within a thread.
An admin can do all that a mod can do, but can also use advanced admin tools, such as to add entries to the News Fader, send out mass emails and PMs on behalf of the forum, add stuff to the calendar, modify your profile, has access to code that controls some cosmetic aspects of the board. Can also ban and delete members, but not the founder
The founder can do all that an admin can do, and some other secret stuff I don't know about. I suppose he can delete his own account.
I have to say, though, that the most important role on the forum is that of any member who participates in good faith and heart. Without such members, we staff have not much to do.

Members flow in and out of the forum; real life gets in the way or they may lose interest in the game, many reasons. Looks like you signed up shortly before our birthday celebration which could also account for the forum seeming to be a bit slower.
I miss the new gem dragon release each month because it brought us all together trying to figure out the combo.
Have had no complaints about you, so no need for you to try to shoulder the responsibility of anyone leaving. Just wait, you will most likely see them all return at some point or another.
Bloodstone is going to fill a much needed Android/Kindle/Google hole that many of the current mods have no experience with. He's bringing lots of energy and good ideas. I think our members are going to be very happy with his addition.
Welcome Bloodstone! Jolly good pick team, Emm.., update of the banner under the earth display seems necesaary
Good idea - done!
