I'm just using gems to speed up breeding so it's not a big deal I just really wanted my birthstone dragon, even if it's ugly as sin!

Hermione2424 update: two storm fails this morning, which she gemmed out, and now there is another 6:24 brewing. Best of luck to mishkasmom today! It would be great if the competition could be wrapped up today (even if Myke is the loser)!

Congrats to Sarakins - we have finished very close to each other after a devostating long series of 21 days frustrating breeding. I'll send gems to both Miskashmom and Hermonie as soon as my tree regenerates. Koala to both of you keep up!

Congrats Sarakins. Keep your chins up Hermione and MM but get to work and give those dragons a serious talking to. It is fun to watch Myke loose. Hahaha.

I'm out! I'm out! I'm out! There were gems waiting for me from Charla, Pixie, LC, ThommiC & others this morning, I used gems to speed up the first breeding on the island, then there was the message I was thinking was never going to show up. Thank you --everyone who has been so generous to send gems. This dragon has certainly been a community effort & the "parents" & I appreciate it!
Ok, Hermione, let's hope your dragon arrives tonight!
Edit: I have now spent over 176 gems (just this morning)trying for a second Amethyst for display, breeding in the cave. No luck at all. I am stunned at how difficult this gem dragon has been for me. I do, however, now have a large number of suns & moons in my HC which I acquired as fails.
Edit: We (Sonic & Hail) are taking a break from trying for the display egg & I'm sending in Flower & Butterfly to try for a Rose. Fingers & toes crossed.
