PJ I'm wondering how long it takes you to earn the cash/grow the food to crown a dragon? Just interested in if the goal is achievable considering a new dragon is released every week (currently 135 dragons, game was launched 111 weeks ago).
About 6-7 days at the moment, but will be able to knock it down to 5 days once I fill out my island as planned. It is definitely a very tough goal.
Really, the only way it'll be achievable is if they allow epics to go to higher levels, or if they allow extra ways to get food (e.g. agricultural dragons).
Given that BFS has stated that they changed the breeding rules because ingame resources were losing their value, this seems somewhat unlikely however.
The extra Light/Dark hybrids alone will take the best part of 6 months to level up...
Just got my Topaz for juvenile display on my second attempt (level 20 dragons in the EBI). Quite happy as I didn't want to waste much time on this - I have lots of other breeding to do! Back to breeding SE for now. I will need to get a juvenile of next month's gemstone dragon, as well as 3 of the quarterly dragon, although this can probably wait til I have my islands set up for income production.
I was just thinking as well, if they DO do another BEB event, then I really, really hope they change the Motley breeding rule. Can you imagine how annoying this guy is going to be?? It's not like he has a short breeding time either.
All goals are pointless. We do them because we want to. :-)
And when you say Juveniles, do you mean babies, or actually dragons levelled between 4 and 6?
I mean FOY'd adults.
Ultimate goal I guess would be to display 2 of each dragon, 1 level 20 adult, and 1 level 10 baby (no way on earth I'm going to get 2 of each dragon to level 20...)
This isn't currently possible (e.g. gemstone dragons - not enough space). But at some point it hopefully will be. In order to get there though, nearly everything needs to be hibernated away for a long, long time.
Speaking of which, my cave is nearly completely full. Going to have to sell off my Panlongs I think - they have outlived their usefulness. And Gold Olympic dragons too.

Yeah, I thought that was what you meant, but needed to check. I have some Juveniles because they look good in their own right.
Had to start selling off Panlongs a little while ago to make room for the 2nd of each dragon. I have a lot of epics which I was keep for the shrine grind though … selling them off will free up so more.
The start of my Light/Lightning/Sun/Treasure Island. Will finish it off when Dark arrives, the Dark Reward Habitat moves into the feature spot, and the Light Reward Habitat can be slotted in to it's final home.
Which reminds me, I'll be happy when my feature habitat is returned to my landing position where it belongs.
How big, in "squares," are the islands and various buildings, habitats, etc?
I don't kow if anyone has put together a comprehensive list, but all that info is available in the individual building/habitat/decoration descriptions on the wiki.
- I dismantled my 8th island which was once called Buffy's MP Manufacturing Plant few nights ago, and only logical that I turned now empty plant to the Light Island. White, yellow, green, and blue colors were used in creating the island. I love open space, and I love Squares...love the to give my visitors room to roam, view dragons, and decors, etc... Think it is functional, someone once used this term, center, symmetrical, and pretty okay.
I plan to keep my light and dark dragons on separate islands. When the new island arrived I moved some things around and left the space free... Also saving the extra habitats for allocation to light and dark dragons.
I like to have all my dragons on show (at least one of every dragon) I'm not bothered about the rate of DC I earn... I manage to get enough to save up for what I need. I take all my 'first' dragons to level 15 and plus any 'seconds' that I put on show. I will usually turn my seconds into babies. I have 12 L20 dragons, all limiteds... my plan was to take all limiteds to L20... I may continue with that or I may not
I really enjoyed the latest update and had fun doing the magic grind and never felt I 'had' to do it. I very much like the new breeding rules, makes it more challenging and has slightly changed my approach to Epics & limiteds, I will now breed two, one for display and one for the pedestal, I will no longer be going all out for the third.

I know I have seen, and now cannot find the mucketymuck thing, a "poster" that someone drew with Light & Dark dragons on it well before this "event" started. Was that an "insider" or was that an idea from a gamer? Because if it was a gamer...well, dang! That was some pretty awesome guessing.
If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all/Gloom, despair, and agony on me... {HeeHaw, 1970s - totally showing my age)

That would be our Artist-in-Residence ElektronX in the creative DV thread. Wonderful work and very astute guesswork, partly based on members' wish lists for the golden hybrids they wanted to see.
Buffy and Noodles, I really enjoyed looking at your islands. The colours are beautiful and I'm really struck by the contrasting pathwork. Putting Oly habitats with dark is an interesting idea.

Kindle park1: nearly all dragons are frolicking in their habitats! (A Thorny little problem to resolve...)
Smartphone park2: Geode, a dragon with rocks in! Still to breed 4 dragons...

Thank you!! I'm just amazed at the drawings - and also at how dead on some of them were!!
And to everyone sharing park pictures - thank you! I love seeing how others have arranged their islands. I like visiting friends for that reason...it's not just party hats and MP for me.

Oh! I really like it, especially the gemstones decorations. They go so well with the blue light flowers. Very pretty.

My little remembrance of this event. Will have to be revised once Dark arrives.
This made me laugh! Plants dragons and bushes.
