That was totally shocking. My answer:

What are you talking about?!
I never purchased ANYTHING, through legal or illegal means! I consider it cheating.
And I have no idea "invalid purchases" even possible.
Players cannot give each other gems, gold, food or anything AFAIK.

So, what's going on? Is "illegal purchases" even possible? How?
Is is possible so DV tech support simply making excuses to not to assist me with game problems?

 I’m not techie and can’t help with the freezing problem. Illegal purchases are possible though. A couple of years ago I had a friend, who played on a jail broken device, log into my game and “buy” me some things  🙄  well, a few weeks later I had a tech problem, and that’s the reply I got also. If this isn’t your case, email them back and complain louder!!

So many factors are comprising the issues we all have at times with the game; some of it relating to the age, status, or upgrade version of our devices, some of it relating to BFS trying to continually improve the game and add to its seductive qualities, as well as respond to player suggestions or requests for changes, all takes increasing amounts of RAM ( so I'm told)
The hints they gave you for freezing are all they can do from their end, it would seem. Freezing and crashing are linked to RAM perhaps?
Other things I've been told re lightening the RAM load include turning off, not just minimising, all background apps, and temporarily turning off things like twilight tower and weather what'sit fx, lightening the load in your gifts menu ( hatch eggs, give/collect gems and food)... Hopefully some of these may help you?
Often with my old iOS 9 series software, I have to force close, wait 5, and restart, sometimes more than once...

I told them they have to reduce animation level, remove redundant animation or make it optional. I wrote them for years, but they completely ignored me, so I have all reasons to be upset!

I see this game extremely bad with RAM, not only CPU.

i've never known backflip support to be anything but helpful and gracious, if approached the same way.

there's not much they can do if the game's outgrown your hardware. the people who spend actual money supporting the game seem to have made it clear that they want lots of islands, dragons, and fun animations.  sorry if you feel that spending money is cheating, but backflip has to keep the lights on somehow.

Yep, sounds like RAM is an issue for your device; other than turning off what you can inside the game, as suggested, BFS have told me there's nil else they can do, although they are continually trying for improvements (eg if you try to post to FB from inside the game when you breed a new dragon, it crashes for many folk, with loss of rewards; they're working on it but no fix yet)

Re the accusation of their records showing 'cheats' from your device; I recall ages ago in another game I played for a short time (DV is only my second, I'm a newbie really,  lol) that several players devices were hacked and somehow used to scam that game for rewards waaaay beyond what was legitimately achievable... I wonder if that happened to your device? Or LynnMarie's possibility ?

Hey Fornit, what device are you using? I notice you haven't mentioned this. It's true that the game gets really laggy on older devices, and I expect that this is a result of how much content there is in the game, what with the ever-expanding dragonarium and various events. Making animation optional is definitely something BFS might consider, but I think they've probably thought of it and decided they don't want to compromise on that.

My complaint regarding the commercials isn't that they take up lots of memory, it's that the "world" of DragonVale has been intruded upon by these other games and ads. But BFS makes them optional, so we can choose not to watch the commercials if we prefer not to. In your case, you might want to skip out on them until you've got a more powerful device.

I'm guessing the "invalid purchases" issue is a misunderstanding, and BFS would be happy to clear it up if you are a little patient with them.

I use the wiki to figure out how to breed for things.

In game, you could buy the breeding hint.

Question - for those of you that have every dragon and pedestal, what are you breeding for on your island? I’m using my coop for twins and pedestals but am tired of tossing random dragons in my cave. Is there a good pair to breed for cash? Thank you

I was wondering how many of you are getting bigger prizes than usual at the racetrack. Here are my top 3 so far:

• Labradorite dragon (once, which I didn't already have)
• Half a million food units (a few times)
• 50 000 000 DC (once)

What about everyone else?

Thanks vonfirmath , I meant more for experimenting, to see if I could increase RNG odds, and to see what combos would give me more than one desired outcome dragon as a 'fail' kinda thing, so I wanted to have the composition elements, not breeding tips🌻

Best I've gotten so far is 25 gems and one half million food, though i haven't done my runs today. Seen the big dc as a chest that I didn't pick and haven't seen any eggs yet. I think I got a 500 etherium too but I'm not certain about that one. Not terrible but not the best runs I could have had so far.

I go to the wiki quest list (http://dragonvale.wikia.com/wiki/Template:AllNewQuests) to find the elements of those not listed ...you can scroll down fairly quickly looking for rainbow, gem, sun, moon, etc. symbols ...i am usually there looking for the dragon to use in a quest. I like it best for that as it seems quicker for me to scroll down & get needed dragon for quest ...

Unfortunately it sounds like you are running into performance-related issues with your current device. DragonVale is a complex game and requires a large amount of memory (RAM) and a fast processor to run properly, and as your park gets larger, more power will be needed. We are constantly working toward optimizing the game, but we are also continually expanding DragonVale. As new features are added to the game, more memory and processing power will be required.

Below I have listed several different steps you can take to optimize your device. Please note: these instructions may vary slightly depending on the specific device you are using.

I have Sony Xperia z3v D6708.
It's pretty slow by modern standards - 51669 AnTuTu Benchmark.

But my point is - this game has HUNDREDS of moving objects, tons of unnecessary animation. They need to disable most of animation or make it optional - up to disable ALL animation if gamer want.
