I've been playing this game since it first came out, and I've had some good runs of wins in the Battle Arena, but I have never had to fight an Astro Bot. I'm trying to figure out how that works and if there is a sequence of events required. I have used Steam Bot since I got it, and it has never lost so I have a lot of wins in a row. But I keep fighting Caterpillar and Laser.
So I'm keen to know if I'm in the minority, and if anyone else has a thought on what might bring it on as an opponent. Vote and post your thoughts now.

I'm thinking the battling may be bugged as well, like the goals. Some times I will compete against the same bots over and over again, whether I'm winning or losing. Other times it seems it rotates through opponents, whether I'm winning or losing, making me assume its bugged and sticks just like the goals. But I could be completely wrong as I've never kept track of any info to know anything for sure. There may some rhythm or reason, but I have no clue really. Haha.
I think I've mentioned that it is a very rare occurrence, and it's only happened to me a handful of times, when I enter an astro or steam to battle consecutively for many many times, mostly but not always when I use crystals to rush a battle (with an astro or steam that still requires income boosting). Battled the astro maybe about 4-5 times, but I do only use steam/astro for battles now so 4 times is a drop in the ocean versus number of total battles I've fought using my own astro/steam.
I always battle the same opponents (usually in a pattern of about 3 battles or so).
Never fought an astro.
Interestingly, I never got the goal to "Win a Battle", but after losing a few consecutively in a terribly misguided attempt to earn more robux (by levelling up bots), I now get the "Win a Battle" goal much more frequently. I've probably netted about 30 gems from it so far and am spewing that I didn't 'unlock' that goal earlier!
Not sure what triggers the fight with Astro, but I suspect it involves winning and losing and fighting different bots. Because I always use Astro (or now Steam, as he is completely unbeatable with the Cannon), the battles just keep cycling.

Yes, with my Steam bot. Normally the Steam bot never crits when he fights, always hitting for about 100-180 depending on who he's fighting. But against the Astro bot, he crit for 230+ twice in a row and then finished the Astro bot off easily. My Steam bot has only lost once, and it was against a Grinder bot + Laser, I believe.
EDIT: It did award me with an extra Crystal for beating the Astro bot, as well.
