Oh it's just a phrase that means "reliable method". So if you have a question, chances are someone will likely know the answer. Sorry for the confusion.
Welcome to the community, I believe you will find it the most pleasant and helpful one you have ever been associated with so poke around and enjoy, never hesitate to ask questions as there are many that are ready to help.

I need a little help. I am trying to connect my park to Facebook and then friend my kids so we can exchange gems. I can't seem to do either. When I log in to Facebook from the options menu the FAQs say to use Facebook park....not local. When I do it starts a new park. Any advice? Once we get parks associated correctly I'm hopeful that connecting with my kids will be easier. After that maybe I can try more friends.

Below is reply from BFS, if you dont follow the post(s). Please ask, I think I have this little technical part down in my head.
Long story short, I upgraded my aunt's phone from Android Bionic to HTC One M8, and also transferred her existing Local DV park to FB DV's acct. Everything has remained the same.
"Hi there, I've found your local park, thanks for the Park ID. I can help save your park, but you will need to uninstall the game, create a new game and associate it to Facebook by logging in through Options or Social. Afterwards, email me back with your Facebook Username. It should look like this: "www.facebook.com/your.name.02" - your username will be everything that comes after the forward slash. I will then swap your new park and old park."
For future reference, I hope someone will find it helpful.
I am strictly an iOS user, and helped out my aunt w/ her Android's park.
From your post, I gather that the initial set up of your family's parks are local parks. If you need to connect w/ your kids, all your parks have to be Facebook parks. Please see BFS's reply abve, shoot technical support an email, BFS should be able to help connecting your parks. Hope it helps even if it's only a little bit

Hello all! I am wondering if I could make some new Dragonvale friends? I am feeling a little apprehensive about getting the second Snowflake in time. I'm not positive but I think I'm averaging 180 berries a day, or close to that possibly less now that I don't have many gems left. Another obstacle is that while I have a handful of fb DragonVale friends I'm only receiving gem/berry gifts from two people anymore. DragonCollector and GuruKarm in no particular order, and many many thanks to them! Would anyone like to join my friends list? Is there a better thread to poise this question?? Thank you so much!!!

Unfortunately, yes, they cannot send gems without friends, which they add via Facebook.

Unfortunately, yes, they cannot send gems without friends, which they add via Facebook.
In regard to DV and GCID, I just want to point out that eack kid can have their own GCID, 3 GCID's associate with 3 DV games on one iPad. You will have to sign in/out each time using different GCID.
In order to get fireflies from friends during the Firefly Festival, I became Facebook friends with total strangers. Since I could give 12 gems per day from Park 1 and 2 together, I was looking for 12 friends and got 13. It has been more than 6 months since we have been exchanging gems. Several people stopped playing but ten of the original memmbers still remain as friends. I added several more friends recently. I have friends from Australia, New Zealand, UK, Netherlands, Canada and all over the United States.
I did not miss a single day for giving gems during the last six months. I guess my friends noticed this and most of them give me a gem every day. It has been an interesting experience. I can see there are many dedicated DV players around the world. I hope I can exchange gems with these friends for a long time.

Many of my former gem/treat friends are not regular players. With rose collecting on the line, I need more regular gem/treat friends to improve my rose yield. Send me a message if interested in exchanging treats/gems and collecting more roses!
