My best bribe is actually strawberry/rhubarb pie, but it is so difficult to mail.
I prefer my mom's apple pie myself. When made with Macintosh apples, they are superb. Of course, her pumpkin pies with my dad's homemade whipped cream are also delicious. I couldn't really choose between them. However, you are right, they are not easy to mail, so I'll stick with chocolate.

Oh, and even though Performer isn't required, I'd still add it to the mix, to keep the average fail small. Grinder + Mole gives you only 4 outcomes and 2 of them are Mole, 18 hours and Caterpillar at 24 hours. So half the time you have a long fail.
Adding Performer gives you 11 outcomes, so only 2 chances in 11 that you will get those long fails.
Hmmm... Nope, still looks like moles and caterpillars everywhere I look. Those caterpillars are the crystal dragons of GM. Still, even if this takes as long as astro I'm so excited to have something new to work for in this game. Koala, y'all!
Wiki confirms that Grinder + Nature gives Steam. Best guess Grinder + Nature/Nature Hybrid is the combo.
So is grinder + nature most efficiant? At least when you get a 48hr timer you know what you've got.
Yes, taking one hybrid out of the equation should remove the Astro option. As far as we know Astro has only been bred with hybrids.
