1. As much memory as you can afford. IF your only purpose is to play this game, a big screen, so not a mini. But don't bother with the multitasking one. Though it could help when checking the Sandbox. 2. I believe so but don't know so. 3. Yes.
2. BFS cannot 3. I will be your friend! I have an android park; I even learned how to friend myself to send gems across platforms. And there are many wonderful players on android devices. Although I will say that if I hadn't already had a park going for so long on my kindle, I wouldn't have dealt with all the differences. It's much easier to work with multiple IOS parks than the effort it takes to fully integrate an android park.
How sweet of you ! But the problem is 1) I 'd have to start all over again and 2) I strongly dislike facebook

I have a couple of kid accounts on my Kindle Fire (Kindle FreeTime). It seems like every time I go in to parental controls and adjust -something- (I just enabled a new app I purchased), my kid accounts reboot. I am obviously not going to enable FB for them, are there any tips on how to keep this from happening?
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this... so feel free to move it if required.... I have one of those life-proof cases on my iphone. Yesterday it unexpectedly took a float test in my pool, resulting in my having to jump in and fish it out of 5 ft of water. It had dropped the call I'd been on (I guess they don't transmit well under water) but the phone was still live. I towel dryed the case then popped it open and inspected my phone. It was bone dry and fully functional. I was impressed. I just thought I'd pass it on that those cases really do work.
As mentionned many times my Ipad 2 crashes more and more with this game. It's only a question of time that DV won't load at all. The purchase of a new ipad is no alternative for me for some reasons. I do have a well equipped Windows PC though. So here's my newest question : Does anybody here has experiences with ios simulators or emulators (such as ipadian or Air Iphone emulator) - good or bad ones ?

That seems like an awesome (no sauce, please) game-changer! I suspect there are many players who would love to be freed from their "old iPad" limitations. Too bad parks can't be transferred from one to the other - yet!
Did the necessary installations take up a lot of space on your PC?
VirtualBox: 207Mb
Genymobile: 87Mb
Sony Xperia Z - 4.3: 651Mb
And it's taking less than 500Mb of ram to run it. I have 16Gb, so no issue there. I imagine that will go up over time, but it's taking less than I thought it would. It's not *exactly* sprightly, but certainly useable.
It is a bit finicky, I tried upgrading Google Play Services,as DV complains it won't work without it and the whole thing stopped working, Chrome won't install etc. But a reinstall of the tablet image took 5m. And DV *does* work without Play Services installed, though I imagine I can't spend any cash on it.
It only took me a half an hour to set up, but I tried a *number* of other things first:
Lots of reading
Bluestacks (Dragonvale started, but the graphics were stuffed to the point of unusability)
A clean Android installation in box VmWare Player and Virtualbox (no success with either, but less with VB)
Several other Android Emulators (Nothing worth writing home about)
Steps, and I can be more specific if anyone wants.
Install VirtualBox 5 (easy)
Install Genymotion (easy)
Download the VM (easy, finding one that would work: not so easy)
Adjust the settings to an appropriate screen size and boot it. (easy)
Install the ARM translation library to the VM and reboot the VM (Took a while to google why DV wouldn't run and what was needed to fix it)
Download the Dragonvale APK to the PC and drag to the VM. (Doing it, easy. Finding out how to do it, 10m)
Fire it up!
All in all I probably spent several hours trying things that *didn't* work And not the world's most robust result, but it does work. Park now at level 10.
Pulled this post from magpac (he is prob. the go to guy) for you crumble608. This is the only exchange that I could remember.

To add to this, the new versions of Bluestacks handle Dragonvale fine.
Hi, magpac, I know that I have read your entry when you made it but have forgotten the context : you succeeded in installing a simulator. Was it an ios simulator (or android) ? And are you playing it on an originally windows or android based device ? Why would I have to start all over again ? I'm looking for an emulator to put on a windows PC that is emulating (or simulating - don't know the real difference) ios so that I can play DV on my PC and can keep my park.
Another possibility would be to buy a new android driven tablet and to find an emulator to emulate ios on that device. Again with the purpose to be able to keep my park.
Sorry but I'm not that techy and English being not my first language doesn't make it easier to understand....

Sorry, that should have been clearer, Bluestacks is an android emulator for windows. I have never been able to find an iOS emulator that actually works.
So it would mean a new park and a restart if you are coming from iOS. Apparently BFS eventually intend to let you move between iOS and Android, it's just not here yet.

Question! On iOS, how do you check if your park is linked to your GameCenter account? I assume that's how you transfer your park between multiple iOS devices... my old iPhone 4S is having an increasingly hard time running this game, and I'd very much like to move it to my brand-new iPad Pro, but... well, I don't recall if that 'Use gamecenter park or local park' dialogue ever popped up for me, and if so, I probably just picked 'local' at the time. So, second question is, can you change that selection at a later date?
Anyway, I take it that IF I can get my park linked to my GameCenter account (or determine that it already is), I'll be able to continue playing with the same park on my iPad just by logging into GameCenter there - right?

Download the game from the store on your ipad (if you haven't already) Log into gamecenter Start DV If a new park starts, you have not connected your park to GC, otherwise you can play your old park just as usual. You can't destroy anything by testing this.
You can still connect your park to GC if you have not yet. I just don't know exactly how because mine was connected from the beginning. I think that if you log into GC and then start your DV, a question comes up and you can then connect it But please let this be confirmed by other members with experience in that part or send a question ticket to BFS..

Why can't I reference to a picture on the wiki like to a picture on photobucket ? This is a url link to a picture on the wiki :
And this is when I save the picture, upload it to photobucket and then make an url link from there :
Why does this not work (space after and before bracket is inserted to make it possible to display the url) [ img src="http://dragonvale.wikia.com/wiki/File:FlickerDragonBaby.png" style="max-width:100%;" ] while this works fine ? [ img style="max-width:100%;" src="http://i1076.photobucket.com/albums/w460/Meeridrache608/4cd45e94917f12c4f80808ee459d0822_zps4pvl3ff8.jpg" ]
This works: I followed your link, then right clicked and used "Copy link location" in the popup menu
result is
PS you can use

to embed strings that would otherwise do something
EDIT: Except it doesn't work on "Code" tags as the /code inside closes the tag

Thank you Greg !!! Somehow I knew that it would be either your or bloodstone who would answer my question. I have no right mouse click because I'm mainly on an ipad when it comes to DV. But your post let me try just to copy the picture and surround it by . Very helpful tip with the code tag also.

A query regarding the observation that on several of my islands, at differing times, the witches and wizards and wizzlings seem to get stuck in the portal; Have tried moving the affected portal of the moment, and sometimes this fixes it, and sometimes it doesn't. At present 3 of my islands have this issue. Doesn't seem to be related to having too many decs or a hab too close to the portal, and even giving them a paver stepout doesn't help Why for does this occur, doesn anyone know? Cheers in anticippppation

The technical term for it is a glitch. Probably the result of the wizard in question eating too many zazzberry tarts.

I just updated my iphone to iOS 9.2.1 and now I cannot log in to my secondary Game Center id. It has prompted me to verify my identity then change my password, but continues to say that the Apple ID is locked, then prompts me to change the password again. Any suggestions? I can still sign into my main ID (this is the one that is associated with iCloud, etc).

Since going to 9.2.1 i have had a few odd things happen around my gcids. But nothing like that. Just to confirm...
You are logging out using the Game Centre tab in the"Settings" app. Then you attempt to log back in with the different GCID?

I am no techie but before trying to switch to your other ID, did you log out on your iCloud? I have had the same thing happening when I tried to switch ID's and had to log out on my iCloud first.

Yes, I am logging out under Settings. I have had a second ID for DV for almost a year and have never had problems switching. Fortunately, I can still use my main game. I hope I don't have to abandon my second game, but I have still been unsuccessful at signing in.
