Not at all silly. It's because it started in may last year so Diamond is the last "birthstone" of the 12. I'm sure our fabulous Admins will work out a new comp depending on what the dragon gods (aka (in JoWorld) The Backflip Lords) come up with next!
I tend to distribute my spare gems to those who look like they need them so please don't feel you have to return if you get one from me!
My GN won't let me in regularly so please don't send me gizmonauts crystals. I can't use or return them!

I was considering matching your pledge for this last gemstone. However, I decided I would wait to see what it was first. Who knows, I might even top your pledge just so you have to go higher. At the rate things are going, I doubt that will happen.

Does anyone know when the dragon day starts? I have never been able to find any real pattern.
As for when it is released? Usually ranging in the morning between 8am-12pm in BFS' time zone, but I believe that Pixie has a record of the exact times of the gems reveal.

Just for you liquid, I will change my pledge to 12-10-10. Now, I just have to come up with a good way to keep track of how many gems I've sent before the contest ends...
That's exactly the reason I don't count any of the gems I send before the comp ends... Thanks for officially setting the bar at 12+10+10, so that myke's head doesn't hurt when determining my pledge (less confusion this way). With that in mind, I would like to petition the contestants to urge myke to accept my pledge of 8+6+7+5+3+0+9 as exceeding the 32 gems pledged by wapa. This is a total of 38 gems for those not mathematically inclined, or those who are math-adverse. I have become fond of this pledge, but I don't want it to seem as if I am neglecting my standing "match the most generous pledge" pledge. For the record, I don't think I've failed to exceed 100 gems gifted monthly to contestants since myke's DVC baby took its first breath. Thus, it is likely that the final 3 will probably each receive more than 10-12 gems anyways.
Come to think of it, I have been sending my gems almost exclusively for this comp (and gem bombings) for nearly a year. This begs the question: where will all my gems go in May when this comp no longer exists? And no, debstoy, you cannot make a necklace out of them to ward off misfortunate breedings.
