I think BFS Must of had personnel changes. Those names are terrible in light of how the others were named. I really don't believe it was the same team that named them....

Anyway it was super fun. I am sad it is done.....

Well the salamander is actually really good for this, since they are amphibians (water) and salamanders were believed to originate from fire, since they would hibernate in rotten logs (which would then be used for fire by humans). I also recall reading a book where a salamander spoke from within lava/magma deep in the earth, presumably swimming in it. Not too sure about Coral, maybe coral grows in areas where there has been underwater volcano activity or near hot spots?

Salamanders are amphibious, so that links them to water, but there are also myths that speaks about them breathing fire. Coral is a confusing one to link, but the type of coral on the dragon's head looks similar to the Net Fire coral, which is known to cause burn-like wounds when scraped against. Then again, a lot of the combos in Dragonvale don't make much sense in reality.....like Fire+Plant=Poison.

I like these names! I live in Florida, where we're always keeping our eyes peeled for fire coral when we snorkel. It'a orange or red in color. And in terms of elemental magic, salamanders are considered a fire elemental, because the mythology behind them is that they were born in fire. Yes, I am a font of useless knowledge......

Maybe someone from BFS used to live in Florida & met up with a fire coral & decided to immortalize that encounter???
