I know this has nothing to do with breeding but BS made a list which epic dragon can give which primary element to the breeding. Is it possible that epic dragons will get fortune out of this elements when racing in the dragon track, too ? I had the Blast Furnice track and to get some diversion took the Gold Dragon. He won with facility. I remember choosing an epic dragon in the track will make the race more difficult to win because chances are evened up between the epics. So maybe this changed too ? ( not that it was of any importance, just curious)
I have noticed this before.

It only seems to affect some of them tho.
I will only use certain gem and epics for each race. I'm sure it makes a difference.
Kindle park1: nearly all dragons are frolicking in their habitats! (A Thorny little problem to resolve...)
Smartphone park2: Geode, a dragon with rocks in! Still to breed 4 dragons...
If the event goes til 11/14 or so, then the next quarterly gemstone dragon will have been released by then.
I'm just noticing now that they say the 38 have been added with the update. I hope that doesn't mean all hybrids will be released simultaneously. That would suck. With that in mind, counting other dragons released during the release of the light and dark dragons would be a lot more than 38. I think that number must be specifically for the 2 new elements.
Also, what about the golden hybrids that are also possible?
Apologies for continuing to hijack this thread. Feel free to move the posts.
Maybe the two extras that are hiding in the update are Winter and a new Christmas dragon. I would think if they were keeping us occupied with 36 Light/Dark dragons they would not feel the need to issue other new dragons.
Can you breed a lunar eclipse during the day or only from 7 pm to 7 am? Please let me know if I should have asked elsewhere.
Anytime using earth, cold and air elements.
There is a "how to breed rare dragons" thread, but we tend to be pretty relaxed about it. One of the mods will move the Q if it bothers them, but I doubt it will.

Nah, definitely not bothered by it. Though I was contemplating moving the Rift Dragon discussion to it's own thread just so that more people would see it.
For the record, the only dragons that have any sort of time restrictions are Sun Dragon and Moon Dragon species. Other Sun or Moon Type dragons are unaffected by this.
hi- by mistake I sold my leap year dragon. Anyway to get it back again. can i buy it back or do i have to wait. thank you
If you only had one. You have to wait until (if!) it's rereleased. If you still have one, you have a slight chance if you breed it with another rainbow type.

I am breeding to finish my egg collection, and I bred Liberty^2 and Firework^2 and believe I got a clone for each. It's possible I sit have phenomenal luck, but is is also possible that they have not changed like+like=like for some limited hybrids?

If you have one you have a good chance in breeding it with rainbow. On my second (abandonned) account I bred rainbow + leap year several times just to have something going on on the island. I don't have the exact numbers anymore but out of about ten breedings I got 2 rainbow 2 leap year 6 other dragons. After that I decided that the possibility to get rainbow or leap year was to high and changed to another combo.

I am aiming to get 2 of each epic dragon and an egg. I just managed to breed my second Double Rainbow Dragon (YAY!), but I am wondering if I should hatch it or display it.
Are my chances of breeding 2 Double Rainbow Dragons together to get an egg higher than starting from 2 hybrid dragons?

Yes, initial testing shows that DR + DR has a greatly improved chances of producing a clone. It's nowhere near 100%, but it's much better then the base chance of 0.5%.
However... it's also got some wicked long fails in the mix, since DR + DR can produce virtually any dragon in the game that is in season and doesn't require specific parents. This includes things like Rainbow, Sun/Moon, Seasonal, all of the Olympus and Treasure type dragons and normal hybrids like Quicksilver, Copper, Scoria, Forge, Crystal and so forth...

I got.... 4 Double Rainbows attempting to breed (Autumn I think it was)
So DR is one you will likely get again and again. Go ahead and use this one as an egg. Or hatch it. Depending on whichever you prefer (I like its high earning)

Yes, and no
I went nearly a year of playing without getting a single Rainbow fail. And while I did avoid combos where it was a possibility, there were a lot of combos (particularly gemstones) where it was a risk. Or where adding in a 4th element reduced the average breed time considerably.
I'm yet to get a single Double Rainbow fail since it's release.
I have 2 DRs, but still need an egg. I will wait til I eventually get it as a fail though. As far as fails go, I wouldn't mind getting DRs - best earners in all of the 'vale. But 3 Sun/Moon limiteds are very, very close
I'm new to breeding Epics with each other. I have a Solar Eclipse about ready to hatch and i was planning to bread it with a Sun to start a collection of filled Sun habitats. The DV Wiki says this: "If a Solar Eclipse Dragon is bred with a Sun Dragon or a Moon Dragon, the result will only be a Sun Dragon or a Moon Dragon until the Solar Eclipse Dragon is available in the market again."

12 hours after I posted this, I managed to get another Double Rainbow Dragon breeding. Lady Luck must be smiling on me so now I do not need to decide whether to hatch it or display it! Thanks! ((:
