Let's see now. Sakura went Sakura... Poison...Sakura. Then I tried Bouquet/Bouquet That went Seaweed..Bouquet...Poison...Flower...Bouquet In the middle there I accidentally pedestaled my second Summer So I sold it and went back to them. I got Salamander, Firefly, Scorch, firefly, Summer. All were in the cave. I am now back to trying for my Jet Egg in the cave and still trying for the first Turquoise on the island.

This is amazing and a very nice piece of work. There was obviously much work put into it. I, for one, appreciate it and applaud the detail and accuracy.

I made this list for BeB. I know it's over now, but you can still use it for reference. It's a list of all the limited Dragons with suggested breeding combos and what month of the year they all return. Hi lordofthevale, and welcome! Thanks for typing this all out. Have a look at the first few posts of this thread? There is some pretty good info you might find interesting.
Pepper and Earth/Hybrid Earth, Bone, Moss and Lava all have (relatively) short fails

I confess to being mystified by how two aspects of breeding percentages can vary, and I'd love to hear from you if you have some thoughts about either:
1) BFS says that Level 11+ dragons increase the chances of yielding special dragons. But if I am targeting a Limited dragon with a pair whose fails include a Double Rainbow, among others, how do the odds change for the Limited but not for the DR?
To pick just one current example, if I breed a L14 Moss and a L15 Gift hoping to get Clover, are the odds of getting a Rainbow or a DR also increased? Should I instead use a L4 of each?
2) I've read that the Island's percentages are different from the Cave's. How can it be that the percentage for a dragon I want to get is double on the Island if there is no way for me to communicate to DV exactly which dragon I'm targeting? How does DV know that I want, say, a Clover but I don't want a DR? And if it doesn't know, how can the odds of getting one dragon increase and the odds of getting any of the other dragons decrease (because all the odds must still total 100%, of course)?
If this has been addressed before, I missed it and would be happy to be referred to it.

Thank you.
Testing has shown a "slight" increase using higher level dragons when breeding for limited dragons, excluding the gem dragons. It has also been shown that having just one higher level dragon will trigger the increase, you don't have to level up both parents.
As for knowing which dragon you would like increased luck, it doesn't work that way. If there are multiple limiteds, odds will be increased for each. The increased odds don't seem to apply to the Rainbow/Double Rainbow as they are not limited. You can see the raw data from the testing at the link below. Level Testing

1) I don't think we're entirely sure how much of a difference there is in using level 11+ dragons is. But yes if you use higher level dragons and Rainbow or DR is a possibility, you'll have a greater chance of breeding those as well as any other limited or epics. As far as wether to use lower level dragons or not...hard to say. I usually just use the high level dragons that I have since the higher chance of getting what I want is worth it.
2) the island simply gives a greater chance to breed limiteds and epics than the cave. The game doesn't take into account what you are breeding for. This is why having DR as a fail can be such a drag since the chances for breeding it will be better on the island. In other words I think the island just adjusts the probability of breeding rarer dragons in that favor.
Well hopefully I explained that ok, otherwise I'm sure someone else can clarify.
Hmm, not sure if this has been discussed yet, but assuming I have two of a limited dragon, is it better for me to try for the egg while the dragon's still available? Or do I have the same chances if I breed it out of season?

If you are using two identical parents in each scenario the the odds will be the same as the new clone rule kicks in.

Thanks GregDarcy! Right now I'll focus my attention on dragons I don't have two of.

So glad this was asked and answered - and easily found. I, just in the nick of time, got a 2nd sprout. I was trying to decide "hatch or display". I think I'll hatch and breed the pair to get the egg. I have everything else except the new Rares. I'll try for those in the cave and Sprout egg on the island.
If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all/Gloom, despair, and agony on me... {HeeHaw, 1970s - totally showing my age)

Sprout is kind of tricky...
As an Epic Limited, you should be able to breed another Sprout at any time so long as you have at least one and any other Seasonal type dragon to breed it with.
However, Sprout contributes all 10 elements, so the potential fails from any combo that it's used in are pretty nasty. We're talking 21 fails that take 24+ hours.
So while it's in season, it's probably better to using normal combos like Sand + River or Glass + Shimmer.
Sprout + Sprout should have the increased chances of cloning though, so it's still a better option than Sprout + Seasonal type once Sprout goes out of season.
I've seen good results with Sprout + Sprout on the Island, but haven't tested it extensively... may hav just gotten lucky.
Kairos is a legendary dragon that is obtained through racing the Dragon Track and sending dragons on quests (kinda like sending them away to the Colosseum). In other words, you can't breed this dragon. Also, Kairos doesn't earn you DC, food, or gems. What he does is grant you the ability, every 96 hours (4 days) to advance time in your park by 6 hours. All your breedings, hatchings, all your earnings, and all your farming gets a 6 hour boost.
Just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Bloodstone not only for this guide, but the monthly forecast as well!! They are awesome resources!!
You are so correct, the first year of playing I exclusively used Bloodstone forecast and Sandbox along with an occasional wiki reference and was never led astray. GREAT resources and they are never thanked enough! Others have put out some great reference material also, I just didn't discover them until later so sorry you are not mentioned.
Looking around and enjoying life!
