When I finally get a new Island I am going to be stealing (umm that's not right), lifting (no errr), paying homage (that's the ticket!) to many of the design ideas shared here.
Off to go visit these parks... how ever am I going to decide?

A while back, you posted your Lost Island, decorated as your gemstone island. It was almost exactly the design I had planned 2 years before when the Lost Island was first introduced. I always wondered how it would look, and then you decorated yours and posted it. A short while later I finally got my LI and implemented my original plan. So much the same, that it looks like I copied yours.
Today, after finishing decorating my island, I looked at this thread and saw how Buffy decorated her winter island. So much the same, but still very different. Again, she posted first, making it look like I copied her.
I have to believe that the similar designs are because "great minds think alike." I'm actually honored that my design ideas are so similar to the two of you. You both have such beautiful parks.
I stand corrected as it was not the Lost Island... and I blame the effects of eliminating my one to two cups of coffee each morning. After drinking coffee for over 40 years going cold turkey really affects the ability to focus! I have been delighting in all of the wonderful herbal teas out there but do admit that I broke down and had a nice cuppa Earl Grey this AM as I needed some caffeine.
Did you explain elsewhere your caffeine ban? Is it a New Year's Resolution? I found that my coffee intake was playing havoc on my stomach a few years ago and considered going to decaf, but I couldn't get the flavor I'm so fond of. Then I discovered that espresso, because of the dark roasting, actually has a lot less caffeine than regular coffee. I make it by the drip method with a filter to catch the finer grind particles, and just measure the same number of scoops as I would for regular. Now I have the wonderful flavor without the rumbly tumbly.

You are not a copy cat. I don't think you are, and how other people think we can't help that. I am pretty sure if we have more participants we would have seen more similar designs.

wOMantraNOM, Trying to deal with acid reflux and it seems coffee is my main trigger. French roast - black - was always my choice. I already knew that the darker the roast the less caffeine. The caffeine they extract from the darker roasts goes into energy drinks and such. Unfortunately, all the camomile tea I have been drinking is putting me in a fog!
Buffy, Nice try, but I am not in THAT MUCH of a fog! Baby Fire did arrive this morning straight from Amazon. He is a cutie!

I won!?! Wow... I did NOT expect that. Thank you! All of the entriies are so good! I really enjoyed seeing how everyone laid out and decorated their islands and keep going back to look at them again.
Congratulations, Windrider! I really liked the courtyard in front of the crystal castle; like entering a magical space. When I saw all the parks, I was glad I didn't have to choose the winner. Thank you, Cyn for including me in the winner's circle.
