We are pleased to announce a new competition here at Dragonvale Community ... Post of the Month.
We have all enjoyed many of the great useful, funny and/or poignant posts made by the members of this forum, and we thought we should reward you for making us think, laugh, cry and/or reminisce. So it works like this:
You find a post you like and you nominate it for Post of the Month. You do this by quoting the post and adding the comment "Post of the Month" or if you think you can pull it off, simply "POTM". A Mod will move your POTM Reply to this thread. Conversely you can right click on the "Link to Post" at the bottom of each post
and Copy Link Location. Then post in this thread with "Post of the Month" (or "POTM" if you think you can), right click in the thread and Paste.
You cannot nominate your own post ... I mean c'mon ... that's just really lame ... no matter how cool/funny/clever/poignant you think you were.
Each post can only be nominated once. The first person to do so gets the nod.
On May 1st (or thereabouts, I mean, we're all working folks here, well most of us) we'll make a Poll with all the nominated threads and everyone here will be invited to vote for their favourite thread. You'll have about a week to vote.
So about the 7th of May we'll have a winner, or more accurately, two, because the original poster AND the person who nominated them wins. What do you win? Gems of course. The 7 mods (making an assumption here, because I haven't heard back from all of them) will give a gem to both of the people that win the poll.
So, to sum up. - Make good posts. - Nominate good posts. - Vote for posts. - Profit.

I'm not trying for a Dodo any more. After several frustrating days and over 50 gems spent speeding things up, - I've decided to breed Chrome and Iron dragons to sell. If I happen to get a Dodo, I guess I'll just have to put up with it. So of course I'm very happy to have two more 4 & 5 hour dragons on the way this morning. Garage sale about to commence.
I'm pleased to report that I've had an extremely successful day breeding chrome and iron dragons to stock my ongoing garage sale. Thankfully there has been no interruption to proceedings by the appearance of any Dodo dragons.
Hopefully my garage sale will continue in similar vain tomorrow!
The Garage Sale continued today at the Duckpond, but just for a variety of stock I thought I'd try for a couple of Lava with Earth and Blazing. I was a little concerned that I might have the misfortune to be stuck with a Dodo - but I needn't have worried, as I now have two beloved Lava dragons sitting so smugly on the shelf with the Chrome and Irons. Now back to Earth and Chrome for a few more Chrome and Iron dragons, as I'm almost out of stock again.
OH NO!! I just went to start off another precious chrome or iron for my Garage Sale - and now I find my cave is plugged up for SIXTEEN HOURS with one of those wretched DODOs!
I suppose I'm just going to have to shift stuff around a bit and make room for it.
I'm usually breeding Iron and Magnetic dragons for money, so Metal + Earth or Lightning. In my own particular blonde moment the other day I put Earth + Lightning in the Breeding Cave. Luckily it was only a Quake, but sheesh ... you've really got to pay attention.
Dragon Dung One thing you're going to notice after you start collecting a few dragons is that the amount of manure really starts to build up. Sure you can use it on your flower beds and around your various trees, but production will soon outstrip the amount you can successfully use. You're then left wondering what to do with it, possibly thinking you can just throw it over the edge of your island to become somebody elses problem. If you can imagine how you would feel if dragon dung started raining down on your islands and your visitors, you'll quickly see that this is a bad idea. What to do with it all then?
Plant nursery's love it, as well as landscape gardeners. Start touching base with local businesses and you will soon find someone that will pay to take the excess off your hands. Another useful way of earning some much needed DC for your park.
"Post of the Month".
I'm not fluent in English and I've read this post 3 times wondering the meaning of manure, then I google it ... ;D
