Personally -- a Gemstone Island that holds 2 dragons does not interest me enough to spend real money. I'll set my eyes lower.
It's not a gemstone island, it's a gemstone habitat... I believe the island will be just like normal islands (just prettier) you should be able to put whatever decorations and habitats on it that you want.
Ah, I can do without another island as well. I am willing to spend pocket change on a game. Not $20+.
But there is no guarentee of gold in coleseum, so it will be even harder. I hope that this lasts a long time.
Try crowning the dragons, and only those dragons, and use them for the Colosseum. I crowned a paper and a liberty which covers all elements but water, and for weeks now I've gotten gold every time.
Even with the Colisseum dragons being lvl 20, I've got times I get silver (rarely).
I wonder the same as crumble. I don't like the effect on the gemstone island and seems to have made everything else look smaller

I agreed w/ you both. Placement of the Lost island is disproportion to the gemstone island (even w/ the final upgrade). I like the flowers on the Lost Island but not the egg likes stone protruding out like that. It is a pretty island, by itself, but as a whole it does not blend well. My thought only..
Those extra habitat is a nice goal, but I'm not certain about my attitude to the island. The top with the grass and flowers is neat but the bottom with those formed stone eggs is very massive, ecpecially at the location where the island is situated at the moment. Do you think the island (wether won by MEs or bought) will stay where it is now ? Maybe it 'll get to the lower row at the side of the tenth island ?

But that's just unimportant because I won't spend so much money on this game, so if there won't be a lot of double weekends (or maybe triple weekend), then I won't get the island anyway. I still mull over a hidden ME producer. Such as : when putting Bloom eggs on a pedestal you get 50 ME. Or something else. Note : that is only a wish of me - not reality in DV

Keeping track of what I have gathered so far in the first day: 40 collecting from Habs 40 collecting from growing food 20 visiting friends 10 clearing island items
Still have another hour before the Colosseum is ready to collect, but hoping for a gold which should garner another 25. So looks like my daily total could be 135.
Hoping for double egg weekends to get the 2 dragons, and am in agreement that real money is going to have to be spent to get the Lost Island unless they come up with yet another way to gather eggs.
Was looking for some space to place the Egg of Burcadia, it hit me that the Egg looks like a purple artichoke. heehhh hehh, yep yep it's Friday, and I am hardly working

I did not exactly put Bloom egg on a pedestal. But did display a Snowy Gold egg this morning, and did not get any ME.

Smee mentioned that the event will last til 4/30. Easter weekend is on the 20th, Sunday, it is probable that the event will end few days after that. Already have an idea where to put the gemstone habitat, and the dragon(s).
Going Easter egg hunt tomorrow w/ 10+ kiddos, soccer tonight w/ 14+ special needs children, looking forward to both events. Those thoughts make me smile, perfect ends to a hectic week. Happy eggs hunting, and good weekend everyone!

I got 12 eggs from harvesting the cheapest food on One upgraded farm. 2 eggs each time X's 6. Only 30 seconds to harvest each time. So far ive collected 100 eggs, but when I visit friends islands I haven't found NOT 1 party hat. Bummer. How many eggs can I find daily total?

We're egg Hunting tomorrow too (Though just my 2 kids sharing with the oodles other than show up at the Presidential Library that hosts it)
I assure you, if there was a working method to grind for more eggs per day, I would be racing to the end just like I did with the Light/Dark Magic Event.
But they (thankfully?) took away that option, so I have no need to hurry

However, if I were to spend money on the game, it probably will not matter if I do it today or shortly before the event ends.

My party hats reset in the evening when my gems are replenished. Yesterday I first started collecting eggs at about 5 pm but had to wait until 9 pm to collect party hat eggs.
My magic eggs will reset at 5 but I don't expect hats again until 9.
If you go more than 24 hours without party hats then you might want to send a support request to Back Flip.

I so agree that I am thankful there is no grinding and I have a job where I essentially call my own shots so I can play around with this as much or as little as I like depending on meetings. I do really agree with throwing some dollars as a thank you to BFS, I do this at least a couple of times a month and don't need any of what I purchase (just like to support a game I want to stay around)
And you are so right, now or later we will do it--I thought now and then really work for the island and see when last call is?

Just wanted to set the record straight also for those who were not sure when they looked at the O-Dragon and it said 2/Month that when it is at LV10 it does yield 1 gem per week.
