NEW GIRL IN THE VALE NEEDS FRIENDS TO play WITH AND DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO FIND THEM!
Hi, my name is Kelly and I'm from Oneonta, NY. I'm 48 years old, single and loving it.I am a life long Dead Head and will probably never grow up. I've been a gaming (was arcade games in my youth) junkie since I was a little girl. My family owned bars and my grandfather had, in addition to two bars of his own, the local amusement business, all the pool tables, juke boxes, and video games in all the hard in town and he owned our local Arcade. I lived there as a child. I once played a video game, a game called "Mouse Trap" for 15 hours on one single quarter. I'm one he'll of a pool player too. Just sayin'.
Hello, and welcome! You can either make DragonVale friends either through Game Centre if you're on iOS, or through Facebook. My Facebook page is at www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100015157171548 if you want to be friends (I don't have any gift slots left though, sorry!). Have fun, and koala 🐨 (that means koala if you didn't know)!

iOS GCID EuroKnuter Friends ALWAYS welcome, but I'm full for GT buddies =) Rockin' an ElektronX Jet Icon!
I played this game years ago but have downloaded it again last month. I have two parks: one for fun and experimenting, and one for collection. So far my favorite dragons are Double Rainbow, Permafrost, and Ivy. I'm interested in what this community has to offer.

I'm John Audette, more commonly called Poppy these days as I have six grandchildren six years old and younger who all live within walking distance. I'm 67 years old (!) and doing a very poor job of growing old gracefully - I fight it every step of the way. I've been married to my soul-mate and best friend Victoria (Vicki) for 44 years. Our marriage has been so idyllic that I won't even get started because people tend to get nauseous. The same thing happens when I go on about my grandkids so I usually describe them as homely, short and a little slow.
My wife and I both had sub-par childhoods and we dedicated ourselves to making the next generation better. On the night of our marriage I looked at her and said "This s*** ends with us". And it has. Our older son is president of U.S. operations of a biotech firm based in the UK. Our younger son is president of one of the top search marketing firms in the U.S. More importantly, they are outstanding husbands and fathers. When you get to be my age you have a tendency to audit your life. My scorecard has always been my two sons and I have to admit I'm pretty happy with my life's work. There are times I look at my wife and say "Good job, Vicki" and she looks back at me and says "Good job, John".
I had five different majors in college (Journalism -> English Literature -> Creative Writing -> Marine Biology -> Biochemistry), accumulated 300 units, needed 180 to graduate and never did as I didn't meet distribution requirements. I now believe that, in addition to not having any parental direction, that I have probably always had ADD.
My first career job was as a retail stockbroker, branch manager and analyst for a NYSE member firm. I did that for 15 years, then moved on after becoming enamored with computers. That led to owning two computer stores, which I sold when the department store in one of the shopping centers started selling them. It was becoming increasingly difficult to add value, and I was bored anyway.
Next I worked as a systems consultant in the client/server era. I was in sales, but I read several hours every night and was pretty knowledgeable. So I ended up partnering with most of the more pure sales folks as a kind of translator, which made me very popular with the engineers as we didn't go out and sell a bill of goods that was impossible to implement. I worked a year on a $22M contract with Freightliner as they were automating their many dealerships across the nation. On the day the contract was signed (the company I was working for had annual revenues of $20M at the time) the president of the company fired me and took over my sales slot, paying himself the considerable commissions. He of course got sued. With the proceeds I moved on to Internet marketing.
My time as a systems consultant demonstrated how powerful the single protocol (TCP/IP) of the Internet was and I sensed that it represented revolutionary change as opposed to evolutionary change. Plus, as it changed hourly, it was a perfect environment for us ADDs, and I've been here ever since.
I founded Multimedia Marketing Group (MMG) in 1995. I started out building websites, then looked around and could see that the Internet was going to become a gold rush. So, rather than be a prospector myself, I followed the Levi model and provided services to the prospectors. My main marketing tool with MMG was the I-Sales Discussion List which I moderated and published every day for seven years. With 25,000 subscribers it became a definitive online resource. Advertisers paid to advertise there which made my main marketing endeavor a profit center, which was nice. MMG was a search engine optimization (SEO) pioneer (I actually coined the term SEO). I sold MMG to London based Outrider in 2000.
I also founded one of the first online press release distribution services called the Internet News Bureau. We distributed press releases to 10,000+ subscribing journalists. I sold it to what was called internet.com at the time, now Mecklermedia I think.
I was a co-founder, along with my son Adam, of AudetteMedia, a SEO boutique. We moved steadily upmarket to working with Fortune 500 firms. AudetteMedia was sold to RKG, a paid search firm, last year, a perfect fit.
My latest endeavor is 406 Strategies, which provides Internet marketing services to local and small businesses. This business is facing the strongest headwinds of anything I have ever done, most likely due to the fact that localization of the Internet is early and there's a lot of education involved in the sales cycle. Plus, of course, the economy has been challenging in the U.S for a while.
If you're not nauseous yet, you will find more information about my Internet endeavors at the following links:

I'm Michou, and I've been playing since the end of September. I love this game because there are so many dragons to collect, and I like the 'element of surprise' (when the combination of dragons you are using has multiple possible outcomes). As a first-year player, I sometimes find it happily overwhelming when there are so many limited-edition dragons available at the same time. I am currently at level 31, so I recently began to explore the rift (and quickly realized how expensive rift-dragons are to feed). I don't have a facebook account, so I cannot give or receive gems.
I love computer games, latch hooking, painting by numbers, fishing, playing scrabble, watching space or biology programs, and walking on the mountain. I work in an engineering department as a technical drafter, and I love it!
Level 31 and only playing for two months? You are doing great and probably don’t need any help from us. If you do have any questions about the game, do not be afraid to ask. We are here to help.
Hello! I’m new here and just wanted to pop in and say hello. I’ve been playing DV since the beginning and am still surprised that only now I’ve discovered this forum!
I am a little bit Old Skool when it comes to playing these online games, meaning that I’ve stuck to all my old iPad games and have not really played anything new since (Snoopy Street Fair, Smurfs Village, and DV of course!) I’ve always loved DragonVale for being such an easy and relaxing game to play—I’ve never felt the pressure of buying and spending real $$ to play (although I have purchased deals every now and then). It does take A LOT of patience to play though. Even now, I am still trying to collect some “old” dragons and I admit I struggle trying to keep up with all these new Rift dragons! But that just means more new content for me to discover and keep my interest up, so it’s worth it.
A little about me: My age is physically in the 30’s range. My mind and body sometimes fluctuates between the 30’s and the 80’s age range, depending on the day and activities in question. I quit making money to stay home and raise my two little boys, which has been a rewarding and great full time job, but now I’m thinking of working again, which will also mean less time for DV, so now I’m conflicted.
I love spending time with my family, exploring new places, cooking, eating the food I cooked, reading books, binge watching Netflix shows, laughing, and collecting gems, dragoncash, and dragon treats on a daily basis.
Hope to make some new friends that I can talk all things DragonVale with! My husband doesn’t play, so talking about it with him is like talking to...I don’t know, a potato.

Hi elieze67! Welcome aboard and glad you found us! It's the right place and the right folk to talk DV with 😄 I appreciate your PoV regarding liking having dragons to breed; I found before the Rift came along, that suddenly I was perilously close to having all the dragons, and instead of doing the snoopy dance, I felt sad... So I guess I'm a journey person not a completionist 😆
Happy breeding, and yep I'm with you on the old dragons too, still trying for a gourd pedestal 😂 🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨
Glad you found us, elieze67! Don’t forget that BEB will be upon us shortly so make a list and check it twice and make some breeding plans to pick up some of those “old” dragons while they are again available.

Welcome to both of you, michou & elieze67! I am in awe of anyone who can play DV without using this forum. I have been playing for years & would undoubtedly have given up long ago if it weren't for the wonderful people here who ask questions, answer those questions, make us laugh (& sometimes, cry), share bits of their lives. We're glad to have you join us. And, I sure agree with you, elieze67, on this game teaching patience!
Hello everyone! I've been playing Dragonvale for a couple of years on my Kindle Fire. I am on level 100. I love the game: it is relaxing after work, I enjoy decorating the islands, and of course, my dragons. The combinations tend to be frustrating, but this adds spice to the game. My husband also plays so we compare who got what dragon, along with helping in community breeding. Happy to have found fellow 'Vale players...

Thank you for the warm welcome! I'm a little bit of both. I love the "journey" of playing for the sake of playing---but I admit when I finish any of the "collections" in my dragonarium, the feeling is quite satisfying!
Oh my goodness,I have been trying to get the gourd dragon/pedestal for the longest time too! So glad I was able to get all the "oldies" in the Om of Noms!
Hello! I have been playing DragonVale for many years, but never knew about this forum untill now, so I deided to join the community. I am a 21 years old girl from Norway, and I've been amazed by dragons since I was little. This game made me realize that I think I am addicted to dragon hoarding. Irl I am taking a bachelor in chemistry and just started my first semester, while working in the weekends at a bar serving/making drinks and food. I just moved from Oslo to Tromsø since I wanted to experience the dark time and aurora in Norway (Dark time: In the winters, it's dark 24 hours a day in Tromsø). I also love to do art, so I draw a lot when I get time for it, and since I am dragon addicted, I've drawn a lot of Dragons in my life. I am not sure what more to say about myself, but don't mind asking if you want to know more. This seems like a great forum and I am looking forward to post stuff in here, and get known with all of you

Welcome nekare ! Glad you found us, you sound like you'll fit in perfectly here! Tromsø sounds amazing, I'd love to visit Norway one day (my ancestors moved from Norway to the US in the late 1700s, and many in my family have made the trip). Can't wait to see more of your art and get to know you - this is indeed an international, friendly and helpful, dragon-loving (and hoarding!) community!

nekare , Welcome, welcome, happy that you found us! Thank you for sharing your DeviantArt links. Beautiful photographs!
Hi all ! My name is LynnMarie and I’m addicted to DragonVale !! My daughter got me hooked on the game 4 or 5 years ago, I think anyway, it has been a while. I remember I started just after the first Light and Dark event and before the first BEB. Daughter gave up long ago, but I’m still playing, EVERY DAY!! I play on my iPad mini via gamecenter, nonexistent as it is now ugh. I had the most difficult time a couple of weeks ago, lost more than half my friends from my social tab. Through the advice I found on another forum, I ended up digging out an old I4 phone that still had the gamecenter app and deleting 200+ friends to get my list down below 100. I understand this is the new GC limit. If anyone has any advice on this, please let me know. I hated to unfriend some of my Co-op friends, but had no choice to be able to return gifts. In my park, I’m on level 103, just got double xp from a quest, so on my way to 125! I have all dragons, including rifts. Yep breathing fire! But still missing a few of the Rift egg peds. I love the decorating part of the game. One of the reason I like it so much, though you probably couldn’t tell right now if you saw my park. A real shambles at the moment lol. About me, I’m 51 years young, happily married for 33 years (to the same man, 😉) and grandma to 1 and 3/4. (New grand baby due in March 💗) live in sunny, warm south Florida. See ya !

I'm Caitlyn, a teenager who wants someone to talk to. Living in a country where not many other teenagers speak fluent English and/or play Dragon Vale, it gets lonely.
