I'm thinking that they'll realise that this seems to be an issue for players who received the Gloaming Stone with the first reward, so hopefully they'll have a way of tracking the players who did actually have enough fireflies for the Twilight Tower (and maybe the missing gems as well).
My advice at this point would just be to send off an email to BFS letting them know if you received the Gloaming Stone when you received the Dawnbreak Edifice, as well as how many remaining fireflies you had in your counter before the timer ran out.

My daughter and I loved the FF event. Two new dragons, two new eggs, an extra habitat and a light switch for the sky, all for just playing the game pretty much as normal? -- who could ask for anything more?
And now there's yet another new dragon in the pipeline. It looks kind of soft and puffy to me, so we're guessing Cloud. (And while we're guessing, we're ignoring the angst and gripes and downright anger being expressed toward BFS on Facebook from people who weren't pleased with the FF event.)

Glad that you and your daughter enjoyed the event, as did I. I have noticed through the years that people that post on Facebook about games tend to lean towards the negative where the positive people usually post elsewhere. Unfortunately no matter what you do you can never please everyone but you can always keep trying and improving the experience and I believe that's what BFS is trying to do. I look at these little mini-events as like an expansion to an online game or PS3/XBox game, some people get them and some don't, it's really your own choice but it's a bonus to the game you started playing. The are the sole opinions of the writer and not the DV community or BFS...Koala to all

if you look at the top right of your post there is a settings icon with a down arrow next to it. If you click on it, there's a drop-down list of options including delete post.
Turned in 1762 ffs last night to get the tower and a small dose of gems. Overall happy with my result as I duid not have to spend money but getting a little tired of these events. Please, BFS, try something new!

Could be, but that doesn't actually help if the unused firefly count is lost to the ether. Support wouldn't be able to tell if you would have earned the Tower had it not been for the glitch.
And if they do manage to dig up the unredeemed fireflies, everything will be fine and dandy anyway without having to look at timestamps.

Well, hopefully they take my screenshot seriously. And they could see maybe that I earned the habitat WAY back. Still, I could have only gotten 1,500 or so, discounting the screenshot that shows otherwise. Even if I get my tower, idk how they will right their wrongs with poor people like flutterbye. Still no response to my latest support email. Time to pester. In the email they sent that I pasted here, when he mentioned sending gems to me, he DID send 50 gems. But screw that. I want my tower. I won't open those 50 gems till I get my tower.
I fell backwards into a pretty good (lucky) strategy. I wasn't aware of the behavior that double ffs would continue until something caused the app to re-synch with the server, but it paid off for me rather handsomely. I had saved Kairos for the last day as I posted about earlier with an eye toward getting as close to a full 180 ffs as possible after reset Sunday night (assuming doubles would be over and my goal would be to simply get as many singles as I could before end of event). I had finished my habitats as early as possible Sunday during the day so most habitats were full and ready for collection and I had a full planting of pumpermelons ready to harvest. Right after reset I swept everything, harvested my melons, bought and sold a large hab, hatched some saved eggs, grew several rounds of dragon snaps, planted melons, swept the habs one last time and then fired off Kairos before sweeping and harvesting one last time. Of course I noticed I was getting doubles for all of this but didn't realize it was apparently just a timing glitch. Luckily I deferred visiting the friends I had reserved because when I finally did so, doubling ended for me. Ended up netting about 280 ffs instead of the nearly 180 I was expecting.

Your screenshot should be all the evidence they need, as it includes the ffs that go towards the tower. It's easy to deduct 1650 off and then work out the gem prize.
I have sent a request to BFS with copies of forum comments showing that I had got the habitat and tower and was working towards gem rewards. I can only hope that they will be sensible about this. I saved 1051 fireflies, worth 211 gems. In the course of the event I bought 900 fireflies, that will have been wasted if they do not adjust for the glitch.

Fortunately I got the tower. But I am missing 127 gems for my extra ffs. I had received the gloaming stone at the beginning of the event.

Not a happy camper either. I have still not recieved a reply, so I can only imagine that they are scrambling to figure out how to fix this issue and make everyone happy. The problem with my screengrab is that anyone COULD in theory have photoshopped an image and send it in, so I don't know if they will take a picture seriously. They just look at their data, and their data seems to be wrong from the glitch. I too sited my forum comments(just mentioned that they existed), but I will send an actual link or quotes tomorrow if I still don't have a tower. I also name-dropped you as an example of a player having the exact same problem happening. Lol. But I don't know if they will take all this as valid proof. If I don't hear back from them by noon-ish, I'm gonna send a new email to support (not a response, a new thread), and will be all "Take one look at my park and tell me I don't look like a completionist. I even shelled out $12 for the Easter Island last event. No way I was only gonna make it to the habitat..." cuz it's all true. Ugh.
And Anya, you got the Tower because you were smarter than me and Flutterbye, and turned your ffs in before it ended. :/

I posted it here for comments or dittos from frustrated FF collectors! ____________________________________________________________________ BFS, Good things about this event: 1. rolling over ff's at a fixed time every day: very very good 2. converting extra ff's to gems at the end: also very good 3. ummm ... 4. more ummmmm ...
Bad things about this event 1. time waster 2. bad time waster 3. Fantastically bad time waster. People have lives. We don't need to be spending hours every day trying to collect fireflies, eggs, or magic. A game is supposed to be a distraction, not a life. You need to work on making this game and these events simpler to play. This event exponentially increased the complexity and the time involved in playing it. Suggestions: a. The reduction in earning treats and dragon cash is way too severe. Increase the probability of getting things or else provide a cutoff: you get them all after some fixed number of attempts. Don't make it possible for someone to have to go through treats 50 or more times to get that last firefly. b. Create a "collect all/grow all" button for the treat farms. This would harvest them all or grow all (of the same type of course) with one tap. This is needed anyway for normal play. c. Provide alternate sort methods for all the filters so you can sort by type/level or name/level instead of just level/name like it is now.
Here's another request for lessening the time. It's an INCREDIBLE time waster to try to rearrange your park. For example if you want to swap positions between 2 things you have to move one thing to a temporary place where it fits, finish the move, then move the second one to the first one's place and finish that, then go back to the first piece and move it to the second one's position. You could spend HOURS AND HOURS doing this on a big park.
My suggestion is: Make a "park freeze" button where all the habitats temporarily stop earning. Allow people to move anything out into the air, off the islands. Then they can rearrange things to their hearts content. When everything is in an allowed place they can unfreeze the park. Only allow people to move things to good spaces or in the air. This way they can't unintentionally move things on top of other things on the islands. They might inadvertently cover up something and never be able to figure out why they can't unfreeze the park. By freezing habitat earnings, people won't be able to leave things in midair and use that as extra storage space. _______________________________________________________________

I would like to get my gems, though I really don't mind that much. But I really hope you two get your towers. It's so frustrating, after all the work during the event... They have to solve this. It's not fair for you not to get what is your due.
