Crumble and I are in the same time zone. The event is over in my park. I had turned in all my candies, dont remeber how many, but in the range of 1220 and the next time i logged i had a window informing me that the event is over and that i could go and pick up 6477898 treats in the social menu. Not bad. Event island is gone as the counter. I also picked up the caldron and i can switch the halloween background if i want.
I can't collect anymore candy, but I still have the timer which says 21 hours. I did get all of the prizes, so I'm not too annoyed, but it would have been nice to earn more treats.
I'm actually benefitting from this little fiasco. I managed to barely get the Spooky theme this morning. I had maxed out on most of my candies. After the "reboot" I was able to collect candy from things I had maxed out. This quickly grew larger than the amount of candy I had lost.
Not happy as 906 candies were reset to 0, no treats received; I can still collect candies as timer says I have 10h to go but no way I can get back to 906 by then. No cauldron received either.
Although I did get the spooky theme, I spent money buying candies during the first double candy weekend, thinking any extra candies collected would not be wasted, but that doesn't seem to be the case right now!

"Our engineers are looking into a way to address this better, but right now everyone missing candy will need to email us and we will credit what they need. Our emails are out the roof as everyone was affected, but we will get to everyone as fast as we can."

I'm in your time zone. Like you, I got a message, I picked up the cauldron and the treats and levelled up some dragons. Then, a few hours later I started gathering dragon cash and more candy points started coming in. I turned them in to see what would happen and the bar started glowing orange again.
It looks like a glitch, but may just be tied into the one day extra left on the Halloween dragons (been trying to get a second Zombie in extremis, no luck so far).
Ok, very strange my event island came back and i can see how many candies i have turned in. I can still collect candies, got 1 more from a gem i used for a speed up. As said, i have received 6'477'898 treats when the event first ended, and i had collected 1225 candies which makes 5'288.08 per candy ... go figure

I hope that isn't the case Vonfirmath, as it is a very sad prospect. Hopefully BFS is working on another solution. It will take them forever to answer everyone's emails!

To the best of my recollection, I had about 153,790 candies. Please convert this into a gazillion dragon treats.
I will definitely have to contact them about my small account that lost 550 candies, but both parks would have collected about 150 candies more before the event timer said it would end. Should we e-mail them about that or just let it ride?

I'd leave that as is, especially if you are still able to collect candies. But definitely go after that 550! It's going to be quite a bit of food.

And... as it turns out I'm the wrong person to complain. In my main park, event still going on. No candies lost. Same in my baby park
(But note: in both cases my recollection of # of candies was low versus what I actually had)

Cannt imagine the amount of angry emails they are getting. I take my hat off to BFS customer service, Kyle, Dan, and..?, for having to reply to each and every emails .
Honestly, why cant BFS just gift an extra Spooky Island theme, plus 50 gems (arbitrary amount) to all players. These would be a quick solution I think.

Ooops ! Haven't been into DV for some hours (RL interfered) When I started my park - my candy counter was set to zero ( had round about 900 candies) - the spooky island was still there, the bar under the spooky theme ( second one) didn't move - I could collect candies like just after a reset but the spooky island says "reset in about 8 hours" - I did NOT receive any treats or the cauldron ! I will send a mail to the BFS support. So glad that I have claimed my prizes earlier.

Same here. I had 916 candies, didn't get any treats and no sign of the cauldron. I can still collect candies and the reset time is also 8 hours. I've already sent an email to BFS support. Thankfully I had already gotten my spooky theme.

Thankfully I have my two Nosferatus (nosferati ?) and one Spooky island theme. But i would be annoyed if I miss out on extra gifts like the cauldron. Hopefully people with the same problem like me will get them when the event ends again.

I guess I didn't lose anything because I did get the treats for the candy that was removed, and I wasn't close to a prize anyway.
