Normally I would be offended, but with my second Ragnarok still eluding me, I'm inclined to think that I deserve that description...

Ok updating my pledge with an unnecessarily complicated formula. Gems awarded to first and second place based on:
i = Sum of each character in your GCID represented in decimal (using ASCII) m = number of characters in your GCID n = random integer chosen with parameters 2 <= n <= m x = Gems awarded
x = i / (100 * n) ceiling(x)

As "i" will always be zero. Or perhaps you mean the decimal value of the ANSI code for each letter? Or ASCII? And if so, what about the ones with Emoji characters in their GCID?

ASCII. No one that has entered yet has any emojis. If they do I'll just omit them. Omit the emojis, or omit the people? Emojis. It wouldn't be fair to omit people.

The first and second place people get at least one gem. Exactly how much will be determined at the end of the comp. And you only really need a chart if you have a pledge that needs to be paid to many people. It just helps others to keep track of who they've paid.

(Assuming using Decimal chart) x= ASCII (vonfirmath)= 118+111+110+102+105+114+109+97+116+104=1086 n is in the range of 2<=n<=10 Using ASCII numbers: x=1086/(100xn) if n=2 x=1086/200=5.43 ceiling(x)=6 if n=10 x=1086/1000=1.086 ceiling(x)=2 Using ABC numbers x=126/(100xn) if n=2 x=126/200=.63 ceiling(x)=1 if n=10 x=126/1000=.126 ceiling(x)=1 I think you should definitely use ASCII!

Yes please. Level 60. If I'm the last of the staff to get the dragon, a gem to everyone. Else, 1+1+1. The pledge excludes Android users? I asked because they are indirectly participating in the Last Call comp. Yeppers: pledge applies to participating staff on iOS.

Using ASCII was my intention. I'll update my post to make it clearer.

Math? In my DragonVale forum? It's more common than you think! Kiyoji wins for having to most interesting pledge so far.

There is still time to conjure up crazy pledges.
