1) We both got our 1st on the same day, me too by gem speeding. Got my second for egg display, and have been trying for a 3rd just to generate more gems, and because it's fun. Haven't even attempted the Copper yet.

For those that believe this, I have to ask, if Emerald came out on the 2nd, should it be available till June 2nd? What about the 3rd? 4th? What is the cut off date for the latest it could be released and still be okay to end it on May 31st, and how did you arrive at that number?
I understand the point you're making Fletch, but there's a difference between a couple of days and two whole weeks.
If they had released the emerald dragon on the 4th, I'm sure some people would still complain but it would be very justifiable to end it on the 31th. However as it was only released halfway May and there has not been a mention of it going away yet (afaik) I'm sure it'll be around for another week or 2.

I voted they should not go away. Before this morning I thought well..the 1st I guess it should be gone. But reading yesterday and today about so many not even getting one yet and then I read 2 reports of 80+ try's and not a emerald. This is so not right in my opinion.

I think unless they change the breeding pairs every month and with that the fail times, BFS will tie the breeding time to the number of days in that particular month. It's obviously not an accurate adjustment, but close enough. A 28 hour breeding time for February will mean you can potentially breed the same amount of Amethysts as you can breed Pearls.
If I ruled the world (still working on that), it would be available for a quantity of days equal to the number of days in its month, thus a May dragon released on the second would be available through June first and gone on the second (which would be thirty-one days, yes, yes, it would). A Feb dragon released on the third would be available for twenty-eight days, and disappear when March third rolled around: twenty-eight days. It's not brain science, or rocket surgery. The real question here is why I have to take 2,000mg of ibuprofen every day just to be barely able to do my job with only tolerable pain?

Let's see....hmmmm....I must know what I meant, right? 34 did not did not have an emerald already, 10 of those were breeding, but they had combos other than the lichen/crystal in the dens.
The 24 remaining were breeding the correct combo, or had nothing at all breeding. They had an empty gem island, and for some reason were not trying for an emerald. It puzzled me.
