I like the events. I really do. It's nice to have something different to do in the game and the prizes are great. I like the interaction with other players, both exchanging ideas here and sending gifts to help our friends. But I miss some non-event related dragons. How long ago was the last Last Call?

The previous last call was opened on 15th Jan and closed with Seeds release almost 6 weeks ago, 7th Feb. It feels a lot longer than that.
I like events too, and Last Calls. I think it's because I like the extra sense of community acting together.
Weird, lemmyloop! I had strange happenings last night whilst collecting gifts. Had 40 eggs from gifts, went to turn them in, game crashed, and when I signed back in, my gifts showed as collected, but I had only 20 eggs. Today, I used kairos to speed up incubations and discovered that kairos also speeds up my quests. Did not think it would do so, thought the quest would respond to kairos in the same fashion as the colosseum, I.e. Not at all. And for the first time in my park, I caught the magic egg coming in on a magic portal. It wasn't there...and then it was.

March is pure MADNESS.
Maybe a new golden hybrid or permanent epic would be ok, but adding in another St Paddy's day dragon or something similar would be awful for newer players. I wouldn't be surprised if it was April before we see another new limited that wasn't tied to an event.
By my count, there should be 17 different limited dragons available during this month. 21 if you include the Snowflakes, but as you could only acquire those if you have been playing since at least January so not sure if they should count.
Regardless, it's a LOT of dragons to work on for one month. Only BeB has more.

I'm definitely thinking that the egg loss is from my game crashing on the social menu. Argh, rather wish it wouldn't do that! My game crashed when I open it all the time.

1. If you can speed up any process with gems then Kairos would also speed it up.
2. The magic egg disappeared in my park twice, so logically it has to reappear some where else, but I have not caught in the act.

Is there a list of the best dragons to use for each quest? I'm not sure I'm choosing the best one each time. If I remember correctly from the a Racetrack (which I no longer have), there are certain dragons which do better than another even though the elements are the same. Am I correct? Thanks!
How many hours are in between magic egg drops? At first it was showing 15 hours everyte I would go on to collect. I would collected eggs and then come back in 15 hours and collect more. And then this weekend when I was due for more eggs I received nothing. I thought maybe it was a glitch and it would be fixed and soon as I restarted. So I restarted the game and still no eggs. For the next 15 hours I didn't receive any new eggs which means that it took 30 hours to give me eggs during a double weekend. once that next 15 hours was up I went on again. Then I got eggs but my clock read 24 hours. Now I am back to 15 hours. Is this a glitch? I a high level player and play multiple times a day and am getting very frustrated. I don't know if it is a glitch or not. But it is definitely weird.
When the event first started, there was some number of hours left until the eggs would be hidden (Maybe 15? The first time I saw it was 13hrs but I didn't get right on) But everytime after that it is a 24 hour period before more eggs are hidden.

The event started at 1030 BFS time and the eggs reset at midnight BFS time
This is 13.5 hours later, which is rounded up to display "About 14 hours" by the game.

I lost some eggs from a gift glitch was well. I had hit my limit, but wanted to collect the gems and food from a gift. I hit collect, it 'collected' them all but the eggs didn't show and then the game crashed and the person disappeared from my received list...

I had the strangest experience the last few days. Sunday I somehow missed 40 eggs. I keep diligent track of my eggs and poof, there was a 40 egg discrepancy between the game's count and mine. I checked everything, but couldn't come up with the difference. This morning I got... 108 eggs from collecting DC. Crazy! That's an extra 28 eggs. Not quite enough to cover the 40 egg difference... but at least it's something!
I'm also missing 20 eggs with no way to account for the loss.
I think the issue where you randomly get no eggs from gifts is still there. It's been happening since the winter event...
For me, what time I start a quest determines how long it will be. Anything from 1 PM - 7 PM Colorado time gets me 2 hour quests. Any quest that I start from 7 PM Colorado time gets me 3/4/24 hour quests.

Thanks to the Valentine event, we can now breed epics with any other breedable dragon.
Epic cloning rules dictate that if both parents are epic, there is a possibility of producing a clone.
So a combo like Monolith 1 + Berry should have a chance to clone Monolith 1 (or Berry, but we don't care about that right now).
If successful, you could then produce Monolith 2-4 by breeding Monolith 1 + Monolith 1, without ever needing to earn the Monolith 2 reward during the actual event.
This should work that same way with Snowflake, if anyone only earned Snowflake 1 during the Winter event.
The Dragonvale sandbox already has the combos for the Monoliths loaded ( including your suggestion of Berry + Mononlith).

When they expire, you can only get more of the types you already have, but I'm not sure that they will expire.
If you check the Snowflakes in the Dragonarium, they're all still available. They were expired for a while, and then a lot of people complained that they'd just barely earned the second Snowflake and hadn't gotten the third and fourth yet, and now they're back.
My guess is they'll do the same for Monolith, but I'm going to breed them ASAP just to make sure...
You can, but then I'd miss out on dragons. And that is really bad, because one of my main aims is to have them all. And to get the second monolith so that I can breed them I'm gonna have to work hard and actually participate....

You should be able to get Monolith 2-4 with just Monolith 1. Might take a while, but it should be possible to do without ever earning Monolith 2 as a reward.
If that was your goal, you would only need to earn about 156 eggs per day to manage Monolith 1 by the end of the event.
Oh yeah! Thanks! That's a good point! I'm not sure if it's gonna be very easy though... I think I'm gonna make sure to egg hunt for another week and then just play normally, with the only exceptions being double-egg weekends. Wherever that takes me, I'll leave it there!

It's funny. I never seem to get any of the 'magic eggs' or what ever during events. from either visiting friends or from sending or receiving gifts. Lol does not seem to be fair.
Can some one tell me, can you only find one hidden egg per day? I ask cause I only found one yesterday and now one today. But the egg in the egg island only has one egg spot filled. Is that what happens? It restarts every 24 hours?
