It's funny. I never seem to get any of the 'magic eggs' or what ever during events. from either visiting friends or from sending or receiving gifts. Lol does not seem to be fair.
Can some one tell me, can you only find one hidden egg per day? I ask cause I only found one yesterday and now one today. But the egg in the egg island only has one egg spot filled. Is that what happens? It restarts every 24 hours?
There is only one Hidden Egg per cycle so when the cycle resets a new Hidden Egg appears. There is a new cycle every 24 hours.

Welcome @im4eva As BC said there is only one hidden egg per day. You can tell when it is there by looking at the visitors button. Sometimes it is hidden behind another object so it can be very hard to find.
The egg slots on the event island are completely separate. They track your progress through the event. Since you only have one egg filled that means you only have the first monolith pedestal. There will be a marker line under the next goal that tracks your progress towards that. It gradually fills with purple when you turn in your EC (egg currency) If you hold on to your EC eventually the counter will start to swirl. This means you have accumulated enough EC for the next prize. Many people wait for this to happen before they turn in their EC. Once it fills up you get that prize and another egg in the wall and the line moves to the next prize.
You don't get any egg currency (as opposed to the egg you have to find) for sending gifts. You give it to your friends. They in turn send you EC along with either a gem or food or both. The friends list will show you how many gems, food and EC each friend has sent you. If there is only a column for gems and food that means you haven't yet downloaded the required update from the App Store.
Visiting friends should reward you with five EC. It will come along with the DC from one of the three party hats you tap on. You only get EC from two friends per day. A total of 10 ec.

Wow, I have a luxory problem : I get too much eggs from gifts. I can't collect them and now my gift list is getting longer and longer which soon will become a problem. Buffy and frizzlechicken, could you please send gems (and also food, if you want to do so) to my second account (Meeridrache608) till the end of this event ?

I noticed it last year during the first egg hunt event. I have 10 Huge Treat Farms. I plant just before bed so it'll be ready to harvest when I get up in the morning and can usually get two (but sometimes three if I'm up late) more harvest cycles through the day, netting me the full 40 from Treats without feeling like I'm grinding.
If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all/Gloom, despair, and agony on me... {HeeHaw, 1970s - totally showing my age)

I usually set aside a half hour to grind Dragon Snaps until I max out my treat eggs, but I do mix it up with Sarjin Peppers and sometimes Dragon Roots. Usually takes between 10 and 20 full planting cycles to max out.
Interesting gremlins in my park today. Finished a 2 hour quest from last night. Got 20 eggs. After those showed, another white "+2" came floating up. No reason why, no gems were used.
I think it is a good marketing move by BFS to begin the event with a double weekend. Egg collecting seems depressingly low and slow after that. Very tempting to succumb to the pressure of "I am not going to collect enough eggs to get everything" at this early point. It isn't much fun from the player perspective, however.
And I had high hopes that St. Patty's day would bring me a Celtic after 2 years of trying when it's available. But...no. Just pulled a 38:24 incubation time. Celtic and Clover have both been elusive for me. Although I have tried faithfully to get them at every opportunity.
I am hesitant to spend gems right now as I am trying very hard to earn the Lost Island. I have just over 1200 gems at the moment.

In addition to being really frustrating, this makes it very difficult to track who I owe what. I have two requests for BFS:
(1) If you really want this game to be social then let people receive the gifts they are sent by friends.
(2) Create a way to buy gems that can be used on an unlimited basis as gifts for friends. Will be a great revenue generator and will enable those of us with big backlogs of gifts owed to catch up. This one is a no brainer.

I got my Celtic only a few hours ago, so I just scraped in. I feel your pain; I started playing again just after last year's Easter event and as such, had to wait until BeB to breed for an Ovalith. I wasted almost 700 gems speeding up breeding to try and get that thing, and have been attempting breeds non-stop since it's re-release. I hope mine doesn't turn into a 2 year hunt. With 20-odd hours left, I hope you land that 17 hour breed!!
Breeding Target: Ovalith. It's ALWAYS Ovalith! Hoarded gems as a safety net to ensure an Ovalith during BEB, but I'm not sure if I want to spend them: I think I want the thrill of breeding it! Gems wasted on speeding up Ovalith breeding/incubation: 2890

For 1,250M, we can purchase the Monolith Habitat, or 3 in my case.

I have been thinking about this a lot, particularly #2, and the problem there is that almost all those friends will return those new gifts the next day or so, leading to a never ending cycle of dozens of gifts a day. Great revenue maker for BFS but not ideal overall
I would LOVE to be able to receive and return all the gifts I've been given though, it's gotten to the point where if I get a gem from not one of my usual buddies (I have about 10-12 of those), I have a moment of 'oh no!'

I've thought about somthing similar Buffy, although I like displaying the 8 elements as themes. I only have a Monolith habitat on my new island so far... May move another epic type over there too. Dream seems like a complimentary fit (dream being ehereal and flowing, monoliths being earthly and solid).

I foresee one possible "problem"? You are one of the two co-owners of the park, and I think you may be holding 49% of the votes
The contrast in color of the two habitats would be so pretty, purplish and green, w/ a dash of blue, and tinted yellow.
How funny that you think dream is ethereal because I thought of it along the line of impermanent, and part of the reason why Dream habitat was part of my Egg island.

LOL! You are so right, I sometimes get too excited and ahead of myself. Your memory is fantastic! I do have to check with park management prior to any such impactful changes
Dreams are impermanent - it's what we do with them that gives them permanence (seems like somebody famous should have said that, I think I'll check the interwebs for quotes...)
