I have generous friends. Which makes it frustrating that I can't receive the gifts they are sending me. BFS caps gift eggs at 125 a day and I have over 800 that I can't retrieve. In addition to being really frustrating, this makes it very difficult to track who I owe what. I have two requests for BFS:
(1) If you really want this game to be social then let people receive the gifts they are sent by friends.
(2) Create a way to buy gems that can be used on an unlimited basis as gifts for friends. Will be a great revenue generator and will enable those of us with big backlogs of gifts owed to catch up. This one is a no brainer.

With respect to the egg event we could be faced with an absurd situation. On the last day of the event you could have accumulated x many eggs gifted by friends but which you cannot collect due to the limit of 120 a day (ie 240 on double week ends). On fhe other hand you could just be missing that amount of eggs or part of it to finish of the last reward... Meaning you would be sitting on a pile of non usable eggs which maybe are translated into treats awards and ... Bye bye reward. Interesting ?
Interesting thing is I think about half of the people I gift to regularly aren't really playing this event or finished it out day one since I only get about half to two-thirds of the gifts I was getting prior to the event which also means less gifts from friends during the event. I'm lucky to get to 60 or 80 per day.

You prob know on average number of eggs you collected per regular day. Take that #and multiply by number of days left in the event, factor in dbl weekend. Should give you a very good estimate where you stand once the event ends.

I've been playing DV a long time and there's no end in sight. It is, however, somewhat sobering to think that I will experience my final reward there.

If I remember correctly, during one of the last events we discovered that uncollected eggs in your social menu disappear into the void. You don't get anything for them.

My gem friends are hit and miss on this event, too. I usually have my 7 pretty solidly consistent. Now I might receive from 4 to 7 each day. One is traveling, no problem, 2 are my kids, have to "encourage" them to return my gifts. The rest are random contacts that I have had the last 2 years. As soon as I say I could use help, the 7 might pick up again. IDK. But, I am iOS, Game Center: The Lemurr
As to the event...I am wondering the reason behind no egg reward (or ice berries, fireflies, etc, etc) for pedestals? Now that the Dragonarium is in full use, it would seem as though pedestals are now more a part of the game than they used to be. We have them as a goal now. I don't understand why hatching or selling nets us rewards, but pedestals do not. Currently, I have all available dragons (some still need the 2nd dragon) but I am lacking available pedestals. These events come often enough that I don't have much time to work on obtaining those pedestals. No reward means I won't breed for them during an event. It would be super fantastic if BFS would give event rewards for obtaining pedestals. Thoughts?

Ong I soooo agree! I miss simple DV. breed am egg hatch it buy a habitat watch it grow decorate. Sigh
I'm confused - can't people ignore the event and still play simple DV if that's how they want to play?
Personally, I like to be complete and I enjoy the extra bit of challenge, so I do participate in events, but I consider that my option.
Its hard to ignore an event with eggs or whatever popping up all over the place. And BFS seems to be magical at coming up with the ONE thing we must have as the final prize! Personally I'd rather they make those items part of the normal play with outrages dc or gem prices. Heck. I'd rather pay $5 a month for normal play than this constant event distraction...its hard enough now to get two of each kind of dragon without having to stop breeding for this or that. I"m level 62 and there are still elemental dragons I don't have! Also Really tired of being nicled and dimed. Either make it truly free or charge a regular fee. Not everyone can (or will) drop $50 just to get an imaginary dragon. Btw BFS thats 7 hours of hard work for me to get that Real Cash... so yeah. Im sick of these events and yet can't ignore them.

It's an interesting and good problem to have, however very few of us will experience the per se problem..
May I suggest
1. Send an email to BFS, make them aware of the situation, hopefully BFS can rectify it on their end while there is still time. Would hate to see those eggs go to waste.
2. Like what fletch had stated before... Please gift your gems/treats to someone else, I have enough! Start two lists of "having too many", and "have not enough" (though we did not, past events, ever start any list this early) but if we can help now, why not?"

Wow. $5/month would make Dragonvale more expensive than I'm willing to pay. (I drop a fiver here, a tenner there, during events. But nothing like every month. I'm still pondering whether its worth it to spend money to assure I get the highest prize this time or not. The park that might be considered to "need it" (still lower level) is the one I don't spend money on.

I remember over the course of the last 2 events that remaining gifts (roses, berries) were discussed. So, is it confirmed that unclaimed gifts do not count towards the rewards?
Also, if BFS decided to gift us all an Easter present Ovalith, like they did in the holidays with the Diamond, that would be fantastic! I do, however, greatly appreciate the increase from 1.25% to a 3% chance. Much appreciated Lol!
Breeding Target: Ovalith. It's ALWAYS Ovalith! Hoarded gems as a safety net to ensure an Ovalith during BEB, but I'm not sure if I want to spend them: I think I want the thrill of breeding it! Gems wasted on speeding up Ovalith breeding/incubation: 2890

2. Those screenshots were taken on March 18, morning.
Your thought did cross my mind, so I waited till this morning, March 19, when I looked for the egg, found it, zoomed in/out..etc to see if its appearance changes, but it did not.

Oh yeah, it's like the visitors and some of the animations. It disappears when you zoom out enough. Zoom back in and you will see it again.
I wish the stupid egg would move everyday. Mine has been hidden for two days now. I have tried the path editing mode and have begun moving all my habitats, but I still can not find the dang thing. At least Klaus moved so if there was a dense area he would appear later. I hate missing so many gems. Any suggestions for finding the recalcitrant egg?
