I wish the stupid egg would move everyday. Mine has been hidden for two days now. I have tried the path editing mode and have begun moving all my habitats, but I still can not find the dang thing. At least Klaus moved so if there was a dense area he would appear later. I hate missing so many gems. Any suggestions for finding the recalcitrant egg?
It moves when the game reloads, so just keep trying, I guess. Make sure you're zoomed in enough to see visitors walking around. And it does have an animated gleam that runs across it to help find it in path editin mode.

I had exactly the right number of gem friends until the Iceberry event when my parks crashed and I lost my Friends lists. Most of my Friends hung around but I'm now giving more than I receive in return. That's great karma but doesn't help when Eggs are involved!

I find that I have to zoom ALL the way in on my phone. Use path edit mode as others have said. The egg stays put unless it is directly on top of a portal where it can blink on and off so I linger a bit over each portal as I scan.

Susie, are you on an iOS device? If so, shoot me a FR. I'm in the same boat. Seems that one of my gem friends is not playing this event. One of my kids lost the old iPhone they used (in the house somewhere with a dead battery...ugh) - so I have at least 2 gems going to 'waste' and I'm only getting 3 a day. Would love to have another gem friend.

I'm trying to hold out and not go in to DV right now in case it's a double weekend. I would assume it won't be - but that's what I did last week, so I did a lot before doubling started. Anyone else waiting?

Holding out, but went in, looked for some space to place the Monolith habitat. I should have the first Monolith dragon this weekend.
I'm waiting. It's hard, since I only need 50 or so to the first Monolith dragon. But there is nothing else I can do that wouldn't make me lose eggs if it's a double weekend.

You can hatch/sell dragons and visit friends without being afraid of losing eggs. If a double eggs start you just can visit one more friend and get 10 more eggs and you van hatch/sell more dragons (If you have enough ready eggs) for another 40 eggs. You also can clear more obstacles - but this is only recommended if you have enough of them to clear. And you can spend more gems (if you are willing to do so) I don't know what's with the quests but I think they will act like hatching/selling dragons. The only egg income points that won't let you get to the full double are colosseum, finding the hidden egg, harvesting treats and collecting from habitats. So, in your situation I would hatch/sell and clear the quest to get the monolith dragon. If we will get another double weekend later you will be able to get more eggs from hatching. Be sure to have a free nursery place for the Monolith though, or else you can't profit from it.
What I want to know is : what is with the limit of eggs resulting from gifted gems/food ? If I collect gems now and get eggs up to the daily cap for this (120) and there will be doubles later, will I then be able to collect more of the gifted eggs ?

Yes. I am pretty sure that the Easter weekend will be a double weekend. I am hoping (almost certain) that BFS adds one more double weekend. It can be this weekend or the next weekend.

We shall see... the event ends the day before my birthday, so maybe it will happen.

I also missed out on the Treatery, but I collected every day and spent $25 for currency during a double weekend. It's annoying.
3 of us have posted now to say we're getting more eggs than we can cash. Can I suggest we start two lists of "have too many" "have not enough" so we can start gifting the people that need the help.
