I feel ya' about the immediacy thing. I have to keep a lot of numbers tabulated in my head. Normally it's not a problem since most of the actions are simple. Did I find the egg? yes! That's all 15 gems... but for things like treats it's harder. I have to remember the exact numbers for that one...

I only keep track of the MEs and nothing else.  My number is skewed today.  Hold off a 2hr quest (got 2 eggs) since last night till 10:30 BFS time today, had 3 continuous 2hr quests (6 eggs), and just got 13hr quest...timer will reset in about 3 hrs.  

I try to go to bed at night with a quest going that is more than 2 hours. One way I use my daily gems is buying out 2 hr quests. Then I get the full amount of quest magic eggs when I clear it the next day and wait until evening to do the Quest Dance looking for another higher number.

On the left a short reminder if colosseum, finding egg, quest, hatching, clearing obstacles and visiting friends is done
On the right the daily count for treats, collecting from habitats and gems

I often work with a piece of paper on side of the ipad, but find it more handy like this.

Slightly tighter in my new baby park. Earned about 215 a day taking into account the double weekend and I need about 235 a day for the remainder, again, taking into account one more double weekend. I don't have Kairos for quests and at level 14 I don't even have all the elements covered for the Colosseum (not to mention, level 4 dragons aren't guaranteed to get Gold anyway). So anyway, it looks like I need 20 or 30 eggs a day. So I am putting a call out for friend requests for people that wouldn't mind giving me a hand. I stopped keeping track of my egg since the Christmas Event, and am not keeping track now. I gauge my progress per other's number. Reading member's post gives me ideas where I should be, if not I will adjust my spending habits accordingly (i.e...skip today's lunch, and buy eggs instead)

I know how many eggs I need to collect per day, and as long as I meet the minimum requirement, anything over is bonus. So I do mentally track new figure every morning. I am currently at 79/1,800 toward the 2nd Monolith.

Buffy - Me too!  Except I stopped trying to keep track after the firefly event   I do pretty much what you do: Watch where others are and guage my progress accordingly - and don't sweat it, I can skip lunch and get some eggs if need be.  I have been playing agressively most of my 2+ years.  At first it was solely to help my son see how to get the dragons, plan growth in the park, etc.  Then... well, then the dragon bug bit me and suddenly WE MUST HAVE THEM ALL!  ALL THE GORGEOUS AWESOME DRAGONS IN ALL OF THIER GLORY!!  WE MUST... *ahem*, sorry 'bout that.  Anyway, as I was saying, playing a few times a day and doing all of the egg-gathering stuffs pretty much gets you there in the end.  (btw, ~300 into my 2nd Monolith).

On a side note, the manager and I sat down this weekend and discussed the Dream / Monolith island idea, and he was genuinely excited for it!  So, with his blessing, I will now be drawing up plans and reviewing them with the CEO - but as COO I have been given the goahead

3.   Sounds good, however you are missing CFO (your wife) you may need a dollar here and there to purchase gems for the additional habitats.  It's good thing though..something for your little manager to think about and look forward to, learning to wait, precious!

I'm 130 eggs away from getting the pedestal and, according to my primitive back of the envelope calculation, I will just barely be able to get everything without a doubles weekend. I'm sure we will have at least one more of those so I should be OK. But I'm benefiting greatly from receiving the maximum number of gift eggs every day (and, as I have grumbled in the past, over a thousand I can't retrieve). So I'm wondering if it's possible to get everything in this event without buying eggs? How is everyone doing?

I have just got monolith 1, a few eggs over towards whatever is next. I don't really count / calculate but I'm hopeful that I can get everything if we have a double and I am able to play every day. I do have some gems to spend but not much real cash this time as it's come so soon after the last event.

I'm about 100 from the second pedestal, and have not bought any eggs. I have maxed out gifts every day, but thanks to BFS eating some, I do not think I will max out any more (I collect collect collect, then get more than 120 accidentally or because I want the food, then it crashes, I lose the extra eggs and the person is deleted from my received list). So I've been surviving (and thriving) on the backlog but will have to work a little harder from now on

For the Christmas event, we could breed SF1+SF1/2/3 after the event. We assume the same thing with Monolith dragons. If nothing changed since the last event, you can continue to breed them together after the event is concluded.

If you're still looking for the magic eggs, move your habitats, decorations etc. to see if they are hidden behind them. Once you move, just cancel and the item zips back where it was. I usually find the egg in 5 mins. You can also mute out the habitats and decorations if you go to the edit path feature. I find that moving things out of the way is a much easier search. koala and Happy Easter!

I've been breeding Monolith 1 and Berry together for a while now, but I really don't think it's possible to get the others this way. I was not exactly counting on it, but I was hoping.  

I guess I should have been using more gems, but with nothing to really spend them on, it's kind of pointless. Now I'm afraid I won't get Monolith 2 in time to breed them together until I get the other two. I sure hope we can do it after the end of the event. I don't think the next weekend will be double, which would be quite helpful. The following is more likely, being the last one and Easter. Well, let's hope everything works out for the best.

Knowing that later on in the Event I will be AWOD (Absent With Out Dragons), I went ahead and contributed to BFS's bottom line - someone has to pay those hardworking Dragon Drawers - and purchased some eggs during the sale. Having both Monolith1 and Monolith2 breeding for a couple of days, here is the gouge...

Cave (my Island was breeding for Ovalith the Second which I got! YAY!) - Mono1 lvl10 + Mono2 lvl10 = first breeding my second Mono1, followed by second breeding which was 20 hours and turned out to be Mono4, followed by another Mono1, then Forest, River, Moss.

Raised up one of my new Mono1s to lvl 10 and the other to lvl 4.

Cave - Mono1 lvl10 + Mono1 lvl10 = three Mono1s in a row
Island - Mono1 lvl4 + Mono2 lvl10 = Mono1, Pepper, Salamander, River.

After hatching Mono4 and leveling to a 10, put Mono2 and 4 on the Island and just got a 20 hour breed time - either my second Mono4 or my first Mono3. Went back to Mono1 + Mono1 both lvl10 in the Cave and got a 2 hour breed time. Will update in a day or two.

P.S. When you hatch your first Event egg, don't yell, "I GOT MONO!" in front of other people. They will look at you funny.

This has happened to me to so I sent in a support email. Kyle didn't seem to understand that those eggs were gone for good. He seemed to think that they were still in my social menu even though I said that they weren't when I sent my original email. I think you should report it too. Maybe if enough of us report the problem they will finally realize it is a problem and fix it. It is very frustrating, although it hasn't been as much of a problem for me as it seems to be for you. I haven't had time to check email today to see if I got a second response from Kyle. I hope it gets fixed soon.
