I have maxed out gifts every day, but thanks to BFS eating some, I do not think I will max out any more (I collect collect collect, then get more than 120 accidentally or because I want the food, then it crashes, I lose the extra eggs and the person is deleted from my received list). So I've been surviving (and thriving) on the backlog but will have to work a little harder from now on
This has happened to me to so I sent in a support email. Kyle didn't seem to understand that those eggs were gone for good. He seemed to think that they were still in my social menu even though I said that they weren't when I sent my original email. I think you should report it too. Maybe if enough of us report the problem they will finally realize it is a problem and fix it. It is very frustrating, although it hasn't been as much of a problem for me as it seems to be for you. I haven't had time to check email today to see if I got a second response from Kyle. I hope it gets fixed soon.
There is an update on the App Store. Who knows if it will fix this problem?

Murphy's Law: Hidden Egg Corollary Regardless of where you start your hunt, the egg is always hidden on the last (or next to last) island that you search.
If you're still looking for the magic eggs, move your habitats, decorations etc. to see if they are hidden behind them. Once you move, just cancel and the item zips back where it was. I usually find the egg in 5 mins. You can also mute out the habitats and decorations if you go to the edit path feature. I find that moving things out of the way is a much easier search. Koala and Happy Easter!
My strategy seems to work really well. I have never liked the park visitors, so I have always 'built out' each island with decorations - there are no paths. The only spot the Magic Egg can go is the portals. When I do the Edit Paths trick, I then only need to look at each portal to find the Magic Egg.

Now I'm afraid I won't get Monolith 2 in time to breed them together until I get the other two. I sure hope we can do it after the end of the event. I don't think the next weekend will be double, which would be quite helpful. The following is more likely, being the last one and Easter. Well, let's hope everything works out for the best.

Breeding Target: Ovalith. It's ALWAYS Ovalith! Hoarded gems as a safety net to ensure an Ovalith during BEB, but I'm not sure if I want to spend them: I think I want the thrill of breeding it! Gems wasted on speeding up Ovalith breeding/incubation: 2890
Her is my wayof keeping track of the daily eggs : On the left a short reminder if colosseum, finding egg, quest, hatching, clearing obstacles and visiting friends is done On the right the daily count for treats, collecting from habitats and gems
I often work with a piece of paper on side of the ipad, but find it more handy like this.
This is brilliant! I've been keeping a running total on my phone notepad each day, while playing on my iPad. This little trick would do away with juggling two devices at once!

I've upgraded both, and it did as soon as I could (which was a long time ago). It speeds up the breeding by 20%, which makes a huge difference when it comes to the long epic fails

Will easily get the second dragon in my main park. Not at all worried about the relic. It does look cool, but I will never feed epics above level 10.
Slightly tighter in my new baby park. Earned about 215 a day taking into account the double weekend and I need about 235 a day for the remainder, again, taking into account one more double weekend. I don't have Kairos for quests and at level 14 I don't even have all the elements covered for the Colosseum (not to mention, level 4 dragons aren't guaranteed to get Gold anyway). So anyway, it looks like I need 20 or 30 eggs a day. So I am putting a call out for friend requests for people that wouldn't mind giving me a hand. Not really promising to return the favour as I don't have the Dragonsai Tree and I am gifting my gems to other peeps that need eggs during the event/other new accounts. I need 690 more to get the 2nd pedestal. That's 4740 to get everything. Don't know if I will make it. At least the ap update appears to have the game running much smoother. I don't have near the lag time and loading screens take much less time. That's a happy change.

It's possible, I plugged your number into my spreadsheet and it told me that though you'll have to spend quite a few gems to get the Relic. Like max out every day. Let's do some math!
I'm going to assume an average of 255 eggs per day, and not count today as part of the egg calculations...
255 eggs/day * (10 reg days + 3 double days) = 4080 available 4740 needed - 4080 available = 660 deficit
660 - 120 gems on double days = 420 420/10 = 42 gems on regular days
Relic will be hard for you to obtain, but if you have enough gems and you stretch the double weekends to cover an extra day, you can still make it.

The dilemma this time that hasn't been present in past events, is that I am just a little short of 1300 gems, and have not been spending them, as I am trying hard for the lost island. I am weighing my priorities carefully...keep saving for that lost island or spend for this event. Where I am at right now, is waiting to see doubles weekend and what the deal in the marketplace will be. At least that's my thinking today.

It looks like completion is attainable with some gem spending. The key with the calculator is to play with the numbers to make sure you have something more accurate. You know your park better than I do!
For example: I put 255 as average collection number, but looking at my tracking sheet I can say that my own number is closer to 265. With 255 I have to spend 210 gems, but with 265 I only have to spend 83. Another thing to take into account is double days. There are officially only 3 double days... but when you're crafty you can stretch it to 4 double days. I should actually be able to get away without anymore gem spending. Whoa. Good news I guess! Not that it's going to stop me... Finally, a third factor is that the calculator assumes you have finished collecting for the day. This may not always be the case!
So the calculator does need some tweaking in order to get a more accurate prediction. I'm always willing to mess around with your numbers if you'd like.

You and I are very close in our egg counts, so completion is very possible for both of us!

Clever idea! I don't really care for the magic egg. Too much effort to find, plus I only want the first dragon! However his is a great idea, and I hope others heed this!
