So far 2 pple downloaded the latest update and their games are fine. The last time I logged on my game was 5hr ago. It was fine then. And I have not dl the update. I am afraid to log on now.

I haven't updated yet, and my event was still going as of five minutes ago. So, I'd guess the update doesn't factor into it.
Now I understand why I visited some parks and the event island was gone - I assumed they bought enough eggs to end the event because they were impatient!

I give gems randomly to those who seem to need them because I'm not organized enough to keep a list, but I'm always looking for more Party Hat friends!

The Candy Bash event had a glitch in the end, but it was nowhere near as bad as this. There are lots of people with this problem. It's really terrible. I hope they come up with a solution soon. I imagine how upset people are right now. And it's awful for people from BFS. I would feel so bad if something like that had been my fault.

I visited your park and the event island is still there. I'm not sure if it means that it will stay that way if you log in or not. I hope everything is ok.

Maybe it is like the Halloween event when the other event ending glitch occurred. That time it seemed to be dependent on whether or not you were logged into your park at a certain time. My event ended early for the Halloween event; fortunately, this time it did not. It will be interesting to see what solution BFS comes up with this time. It does seem they should maybe have less events, and get the ones they do have right.
I just wanted to add a post about how this happened for me so the info is out there. I played earlier today and everything was working just fine. I went back in around 7:00pm EST. I had not updated yet. I collected a whole bunch of eggs and then went to visit friend islands. After I finished those, at about 7:20 pm EST. I hit 'Go Home' and after my islands loaded was when I got the notification that the event had ended. It offered me a gift and food exchange for my remaining eggs. I did not collect these gifts. I emailed Backflip and looked around to see if others had this problem, obviously that was a yes My special island is gone, but the counter is still there. I experimented and collected 2 eggs, so, it is still counting. I went ahead and downloaded the update, no change. I also decided not to do anything further with my parks; no hatching, collecting, growing, etc. Hopefully, this info will help a bit. I have 100% faith that Backflip is trying to work on it and that they'll find a way to fix it

When the Candy Bash ended a day early last year, most of us were compensated generously by BFS. Wouldn't it be nice if we end this event tomorrow, and everybody receive the two Monolith dragons, Relic, and 100 gems.

Yes, everything is fine. I visited my gem buddies's parks and their parks seem okay too, their event islands are there.
I took couple of screenshots of the event island and egg counter around 1:00 pm today. It's now a habit of mine to take screenshots before and after I logged in/out DV.
Past experiences have taught me the game can go wonky anytime.

Thank you this is my first forum ever, so I'm pretty excited I been playing for just over 2 years and I absolutely love this game. I remember the Candy Bash problem. I was also compensated nicely for that. That's why I figured they were bustin their butts to fix it this time too I agree, getting all that would be awesome!!! I had gotten the first Monolith and was working toward the pedestal so I could get the second Monolith I couldn't get the second Snowflake, so I couldn't breed 3 or 4. But I was on a mission this time to make sure I got each one! heheheh Anyway, its very nice to meet you

If you find yourself in need of eggs in order to get you to the 2nd Monolith, please let us know. If you need gem buddies please let us know as well, include your platform, and GCID or FB info.

Welcome to the forum. As you are new, you might not know that at least two players have reported getting a second Snowflake 1 breeding Snowflake 1 and Prism. You can then breed those 2 together to get the rest. I'm really sorry that your event ended early. I had that happen to me during the Candy Bash, and I know how upsetting it was. I hope BFS can get it straightened out quickly.
I haven't been able to keep up with all the posts lately, so idk if this has already been reported, but i witnessed my magic egg WARPING IN on the pad. Not just like I came back and it had moved. No. Like how visitors vertically materialize upwards from the ground, the egg did the same. Didn't know it could do that.
Update from me - island gone, egg counter still there and so far got eggs for food, cash and clearing. Have received eggs from lovely friends but not collected yet as it looks like I cannot gift eggs but haven't tried yet. All very very frustrating. No idea how they will unravel this but it fundamentally undermines confidence in the game.
Everything is fine for me. I hope it gets fixed for you guys. :/
