Update from me - island gone, egg counter still there and so far got eggs for food, cash and clearing. Have received eggs from lovely friends but not collected yet as it looks like I cannot gift eggs but haven't tried yet. All very very frustrating. No idea how they will unravel this but it fundamentally undermines confidence in the game.
I noticed your island was gone today when I was collecting party hats. Hopefully BFS can sort things out fast for you so you can keep going with the event.
Thank you this is my first forum ever, so I'm pretty excited I been playing for just over 2 years and I absolutely love this game. I remember the Candy Bash problem. I was also compensated nicely for that. That's why I figured they were bustin their butts to fix it this time too I agree, getting all that would be awesome!!! I had gotten the first Monolith and was working toward the pedestal so I could get the second Monolith I couldn't get the second Snowflake, so I couldn't breed 3 or 4. But I was on a mission this time to make sure I got each one! heheheh Anyway, its very nice to meet you

Since this happened, I haven't played or collected anything. Do you think I should continue to refrain from playing until it's fixed? Or should I go ahead and play like normal? Welcome to the forum. As you are new, you might not know that at least two players have reported getting a second Snowflake 1 breeding Snowflake 1 and Prism. You can then breed those 2 together to get the rest. I'm really sorry that your event ended early. I had that happen to me during the Candy Bash, and I know how upsetting it was. I hope BFS can get it straightened out quickly.

I think you should continue to refrain from collecting eggs.. Give BFS few more hr. to figure things out.
Please send support an email (if you haven't already), detailing what had happened to your game, be precised as much as possible.

Just so you know, it shouldn't have to be prism. If you breed any two epics together, you have a slight chance of getting either parent. You should explore the sandbox to see what combo would work best for you. (You do know about the Dragonvale breeding sandbox, right? It is the most amazing tool.). You probably want a combo with very few epic fails or one that gives you other dragons that you need. I needed another snowflake 3 and got it with snowflake 3 & Celtic. Snowflake 1 and seed might be a really good option for you. Because seed adds the light element, many of your fails will sell well. Earning more DC is always a bonus.

Ahhh ok, thank you! I figured since the Snowflakes were special event dragons that I wouldn't be able to do that. I'm excited to try it out. I'll go mess around in the sandbox until I can play again. Thank, thank you!!!
I did send them an email right after it happened. But I figure it will be quite a while until they are able to get back to me. Those poor guys are prolly swamped!
In the park, the event ended and the event island is gone, whatever eggs I've collected became treats and I received the end-of-event decoration?!?

After reading the blogs this morning I visited all my gem buddies. I can see the event island on all the others, but not on yours. My gift ability will reset in about 8 hours, so hopefully you will continue getting eggs.
I saw various messages about the event ending for some people on the wiki as well.
I messaged Backflip about it but I don't expect to hear back until tomorrow at the earliest.
I got a message back and they said they are working on a solution and everyone affected will be taken care of.
Thanks for that that's the first news since it happened to me around midnight GMT 24/03/15. I emailed them straight away but no reply so guess I am in a queue.
I see on Dragonvale's facebook page that they are answering a few players by telling them that they are currently working on it and they assure everyone that they will get everyone sorted out. I haven't figured out how to attach a screen shot here yet tho lol

What has started happening for me is gems received. For some reason towards the end of these events not all the gems sent to me by my gem buddies are not coming across. When I try to collect they read 0. I track how many per day I should receive and at the end of the previous events they all materialized. Strange phenomenon. I am holding off on notifying BFS until the event ends and see if they appear as in the past.

Oh, goodness, friends! What a mess! I am so surprised to read all of this and see so many affected by this super glitch! I have not had a problem at all, and all of my updates are automatic, so my park is updated. The only issue I had was my game cashed about 5 to 7 times last night and again today. As usual, while trying to visit other parks for party hats. I have confidence that BFS will take care of everyone, but what a hassle, and so frustrating for do many. koala, all, hope it is sorted soon!
Everything is fine for me. I hope it gets fixed for you guys. :/
Also i just bred an aquamarine dragon my first gemstone dragon!

For or me those are the hardest Dragons! Aquamarine alone took me over 100 attempts. And having done over 100 for garnet and lapis without success, I dread gemstones the most!
Mine was fine this morning, and this afternoon!
Funnily ly enough I got bored by the candy basha and played very three days or so for the entirety of that event. The game then assumed that my candy was lost due to the glitch and gave me a tonne of extra candy so I got the habitat and an extra dragkn to what I deserved! After that I haven't missed an event! I was lucky!
