All Hallow’s Eve was upon the Vale, but Whitbee’s creature was still a broken mess. Whitbee and Glumi looked at the remnants from the previous dragons, the grey matter, machina parts, funny bones, and slumbering strength. 'If only there were more time', lamented Whitbee. Glumi had a Samhain spell tucked in her pocket. It was reserved for emergencies, but she had never seen a Halloween deadline as urgent as this. She pulled out the candy corn dust and cast it upon the dizzying array of dragon leftovers. They rose, rotated, swung, and spun. It was a complicated orchestra that weaved and hummed, never to be repeated. 'You’re patching the pieces together like a Frankenstein?' asked a startled Whitbee. 'It’s a Dragonstein!' exclaimed Lumi. As the All Hallow’s Eve dragon emerged, Whitbee recognised the form. 'It is EXTERREAN! I never thought it was real. It is a fable that we tell the wizzlings so they’ll behave. But Exterrean does exist — it is parts of all the dragons! And it is the perfect Halloween creature!' Whitbee and Glumi stared at Exterrean in astonishment. The dragon looked back at them for a crisp moment, then launched into the exhilarating night to greet All Hallow’s Eve.
Exterrean is in the co-op piecing it all together. HAPPY KOALAWEEN TO ALL!

I’m so happy everything worked out for Whitbee! He gets in a lot of trouble every year and barely makes it to Halloween lol. I love that he created a new dragon with the “leftover” dragon parts Exterrean is all of us!!

I was starting to worry that Whitbee wouldn't be able to create the perfect dragon for Halloween, but he managed it in the end! Exterrean has just the right amount of spooky and scary happening. Even the baby looks scary - he could give a nasty nip with those teeth.
AvaFlower, DerekB, GKVale, and Snoops put the 'Happy' in Happy Halloween, the 'Hallow' in All Hallow’s Eve, the 'Saint' in All Saints' Eve, and the 'Soul' in All Souls' Day!
Thank you greatly, dee, gkvale, vampdragon, and avaflower0300! May you have the spookiest, most spectacular season filled with ghostly joy! Ghoulish gems and trick-or-treat treats are in the mail, please allow 2-3 days for delivery. Many, many cheers!
Not event related, but most likely to be seen here.
Infinitum is leaving in ~ 14 hours after playing in the Vale for nearly 800 hours. His name might mean infinity, but his stay is limited. Breed or buy (with gems) your Infinitum and his pedestal before the next reset.

I’ve used an unbelievable amount of etherium trying to breed a traited Exterrean dragon. Will my odds increase if I sell my non-traited Exterrean dragon?

It won’t make any difference if you sell Exterrean. The breeding percentage is the same regardless of how many you own. The good news is that Exterrean will be available for another eight days, so there’s still a decent amount of time. I hope you breed him soon — and with a trait!
It is a good idea to take inventory occasionally. I have been trying to breed a traited Eldritch for weeks (in addition to trying to get one when it was originally released and any of the other six times it was “in season”. I had also been trying for a twin and had given up on getting a twin directly. I did keep Eldritch in the co-op cave for my other accounts for breeding. Well the day I gave up, my smallest account gifted me with a twin. When naming the new twin I discovered an Eldritch with fire trait which I have been thinking was a regular Eldritch. I have no idea when I got it. But she immediately got changed to plant trait and green eyes to distinguished her. The Eldritch Family is now complete. though I suppose I could try to breed enough to have twins and traited ones to “dress up” for all possible iterations of Eldritch. Hmm …Eldritch Island!
I started DragonVale as a collector, became a decorator, and then added being a Visual Storyteller. For co-op friending my ID is GKVale # 4024

Eldritch is a very sneaky dragon hiding from you! I have five Eldritch dragons in a fire habitat, one original and the others 'in costume'.
When you have made an Eldritch Island, please post an image. I would love to see it. 😊

All dragons enter the Vale through Eldritch Island, where the Dragonarium statue stands tall, welcoming everyone to its shore. At the base of the Dragonarium there is a poem inscribed.
The New Colossus
Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe blue fire, The countless dragons of a millennium Send these, the twinned, the traited choir, I lift my lamp beside the golden Dragonarium!
Oh my gosh, you’re right, Lisgie! One of the reps mentioned this morning that it ended today. I’m not in an area that recognises it (thank goodness), so it’s an amusing concept that so many others go through. I’ll remove the posts to avoid confusion. Thank you, lisgie!
At this point I have the original Eldritch in the twin and traited versions and the four costumed versions in non twin and non traited versions; and no progress in getting 4 more twins and four more traited ones to put in costume, to say nothing about obtaining 8 more costumes. Maybe if I make getting all that my goal instead of keeping the fired up dragonarium I can do it. I do have enough dragons and plan to semi-retire. This is the 12th anniversary season for both DragonVale and my taking over my grandson’s account when he lost interest in playing. (I had been supporting his account so had a financial interest.) I intend to do a more focused approach to playing now by breeding selected dragons and feeding them all to max level, decorating and getting new islands when released. Developing an Eldritch Island would fit nicely into retirement.
