Deca Games has developed a series of questions to gather feedback from players regarding their new event dragons. To capture an accurate account of players’ assessments, Rate a Dragon threads are created for each new dragon. These threads will be available approximately one to four weeks after a dragon’s release to allow players some time to breed the dragon and admire its fine qualities.
Since Deca asked players to rate their dragons and provided questions for the categories they would like to receive feedback on, please keep all comments related to the dragon. Opinions and suggestions about the selection process Deca utilises to add player-designed dragons to the game, requests to include or exclude a player’s dragons from the game, and other off-topic comments will not be passed on to Deca. In addition, excessively rude, graphic, or offensive remarks will not be relayed and could result in a ban. Criticism is certainly welcomed, but try to keep it constructive and related to the dragon.
The Rate a Dragon threads will remain unlocked until the event concludes on November 8th. At the end of the event, your ratings and comments will be passed on to the Deca DragonVale Team.

1. 4.5 Let me get this straight. Animation that centres around the dancing, instead of the dancing being an add-on purely to make it longer? This is how to do it, DECA! And it’s so darn cute! (The bat-eating-and-spitting-out is a bit weird, though. It would have been less weird if it just flew in/out of the mouth as if it was a window, but the mouth definitely chews the bat. Which is a sentence I never thought I’d say 😂) 2. 4 I get the thinking behind it and honestly it couldn’t really have gone anywhere else. But it’s still a bit too much. 3. 4.5 Given it’s a castle I’d have liked it to be a tiny bit bigger, though I’m glad DECA didn’t go overboard like usual. 4. 1 I am glad DECA didn’t go further than Tickles’ price (though I’m not sure if that was purely because of the bug) but with the bug it should have been decreased by a LOT. Even without the bug even 17k is too much, but with the bug and the stupid prices of other dragons this event, 15k for Fortified and the last limited should have been the MAX. And even that would have been unreasonably high, given how long the bug lasted for. 5. 5 Obviously. 6. 5 He’s basically a Halloween-ised Construct, but I love Construct, so I can’t complain. He’s so cute. 7. 3 It would be 5 if this combo had been in a future event. As mentioned in other comments, this is the first year when Eldritch had a reasonable chance of being bred, so it shouldn’t have been required in any new release trees - let alone as many as it has been this event. At least there aren’t too many long fail times. Also, I’m not really sure why Nosferatu is a parent, but it’s easy to breed so I’m not going to complain about that. (Though given its similarities to Construct, I think it should have been released in a later event and had Construct as a parent. Maybe Construct + Gatren or Construct + dark element.) 8. 4.5 My liking is decreased by the price. But I do love it. Comments: The egg is really cool. Thanks for giving it 10% cloning odds and a decent incubation time. Like Eww, Fortified must be protected at all costs. Precious little (well, moderately sized) dragons! Please make the dragons from this event a lot cheaper next Halloween - especially since, given the length of the event, there will probably be quite a few new releases! The dragons might be scary, but the prices don’t have to be!

1. Animation 5/5. it's... beautiful! i'd give it so much higher than a 5 if i could.
2. Rift trait 5/5. i think the rift trait is actually the weakest part of its design, and when even that gets a 5 you know you've done something brilliant.
3. Size (if you don’t own Fortified, please check a friend’s park) 3/5. actually, i lied. this is my least favourite part. i wish it was bigger, so that i could see it more.
4. Price (19,100 Candy) 2/5. please. it did not need to be this expensive. i still bought it anyway, though.

Rate Fortified’s design 5/5. words cannot begin to describe how much i love this dragon. it's so full of character and yet is an extremely unique idea for a dragon. even within the first few minutes of seeing it, it quickly rose to become my second favourite dragon of all time. you did something truly special this time around. thank you.

Animation: 5/5 Quite the cheerful and flamboyant sentient castle, might I say. Very amusing!
Trait: 2.5/5 The rift trait should've been just on the eyes. To my eyes, the trait being placed willy-nilly on some of the lone bricks triggers my ocd a bit.
Size: 2/5 This dragon is way too small. Not only are castles quite large buildings, but the details on the dragon are impossible to see with how little it is.
Price: 1/5 The prices this event are just absurd. It would take about three whole weeks of regular play just to rack up the EC needed to buy this dragon.
Theme: 5/5 A misfire of one of my lifebringing spells hit Whitbee's Castle while helping out with the Machina Project... oops. At least it is just in time for All Hallows' Eve.
Design: 4.5/5 I enjoy the idea of bringing the castle to life - a bit too literally.
Combo: 2.5/5 Although not as rough as some other breeding combos during the event, Gatren is a required dragon - which means that Eldritch is necessary to breed it. At least DECA was kind enough to significantly increase the breeding odds for Eldritch.
Preference: 4/5 Albeit not being the perfect dragon, Fortified is certainly one of the better dragons released so far this event.
Comments: Although DECA claims that "there has not been any significant changes to the pricing on our side" from yesterday's responses from the last Ask Us Anything session, this dragon is one of the most expensive that the game has ever seen.

Comments/feedback for Deca : A haunted castle come to life for Halloween. What’s not to love? Fortified’s animation is silly and funny – I love it, he’s a big, lumbering beast that dances. The rift trait is nicely done and the bats are a nice touch. He is a good size and I really like the simple colour scheme. A very creative design.

2. Rift trait: 4.5, I would prefer that the trait does not cover all the openings, but maybe leave “the eyes” of the towers to orange, so it shows some of the original color.
