Pixie, this makes me wonder if we are all defining crashed the same way. All my crashes occur on exiting an outpost. So when I say Debstoy's outpost crashes, I mean that I visit her and then the crash occurs when I exit. This happens no matter what order I visit.
Outposts that are now crashing each time I exit them are:
Usctrojan was crashing every time until today. I saw a timer on that outpost today for the first time in awhile. And rynoster crashed several times yesterday but not today. Rynoster is a new friend (hi rynoster!) but usctrojan has been on my list since i first started playing.
Hi Chili! I have been in and out of the hospital for a month now. I just logged into Gizmo and DV today. I have had no crashing issues since I got the newest iPad for Christmas. When I was using my old iPad1, crashing was part of my daily routine in both DV and Gizmo. I went to Apple Genius Bar to discuss the crashing issues and they told me that the old iPads do not have enough RAM to handle hi memory games like DV and Gizmo. You can call Apple and they can discuss the problems and fixes for crashes. Hope this helps.

Re those problems, maybe we didn t pay enough attention to the typo on the banner which we get whilst the friends outpost loads. It says: Visit your friend's park for cash bonuses ... But it should read: Visit your friend's park for CRASH bonuses ....
LOL! Right?!?

Hey Pixie. Sorry to read that your game was crashing during your visit to my Outpost. I have not had any crashing issues while visiting Outposts. I was having crashing issues with my iPad1, but received the newest latest greatest iPad for Christmas and no crashing at all. Apple has informed me that the older iPads do not have enough RAM to handle high memory games like Gizmo and DV alike. Maybe ask the members what current device they are working from. This will be a question BFS will ask when you inquire about Gizmo and DV crashing issues. If members are using the latest devices then they may want to check if any other applications are sucking up their RAM. I recommend that members who are using Apple devices make appointment with Apple Genius Bar and get help there if crashing issues are plaguing them. I did and got a wealth of info and help. I will make notes if I have any crashes in Gizmo Outpost visitations.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have the 32G 3rd generation iPad, the one just before the Mini was released, should think that should handle GN. Also, I close down all background apps when visiting, still get 16-21 crashes every time through the outposts. Will take it with me the next time we travel into town and see what they have to say.
Just went through and deleted a bunch of apps I never even look at. Perhaps that will help, we'll see.
I have the same iPad as you. I have it dedicated to only DV, GN and maybe a handful of other apps (I keep all other stuff on my older iPad). Since I found out about the RAM intensive games I wanted to not overload this new iPad so to free up as much RAM as possible at all times. Deleting apps is a good place to start. You may want to download an app that tracks all activity, including RAM. It is very helpful. Keep me updated on the crashing issues and if you have any more problems when visiting my outposts. Maybe there is a common thread. I will do the same.

Altaluna 5 outposts no crashes cecilia_000_99 2 outposts no crashes .Shantel. I visited everyone (in order) some took a long time to load but there didn't seem to be a correlation between load time & crashing since some outposts that loaded slowly did not crash when I left them.

I deleted a few apps from my iphone (4S, latest ios update) and simplified my landing zone a bit. I hope this helps reduce crashing for any visitors. I welcome comments from my visitors about whether this makes any difference for you.
For now, I think I'll just have to regard crashing when I make my rounds as just part of the gizmonaut experience.

I agree it is just any annoying part of the game. Have no intention of deleting anyone because of crashing.
I completely agree. I like having lots of friends, b/c robux is an issue. To add to the pile of info, I crashed after chili and debstoy. Also, in the interests of robux collection if anyone wants another friend from whom to collect robux, my mom plays gizmos. Her GCID is RULILIND. My parents' internet connection isn't very good, so she probably won't visit your account most days, but you are welcome to add her if you want the extra robux.
I love my vine dragon avatar created by ElektronX. Now, if only BFS would add it to the game...

Interesting Jacqueline about the RAM. Thanks for that info.
Having apps on one's iPad does not use RAM, unless they are loaded. They are just sitting there. You can see which apps are using RAM by double clicking the home button and seeing the programs in the dock. Those are the ones using RAM. If you hold any of them down for a moment, you get the – minus sign on it. You can click that minus sign while the program shows in the dock and it simply closes the program. It does not remove the app from your iPad. It just tells it to stop using RAM. The dock shows you what programs are multi-tasking.
Also Terri you mentioned not seeing any friends after a crash. That happens to me sometimes too. It's one of the problems with GN is that it doesn't play nice with GameCenter. Here's the solution I found: Close GN. Go to Game Center. Hit "ME". Click your account name and it will ask again for your password. When you have re-established yourself there, then you can re-open GN and all your friends will be back.
This is also the solution if you ever get the mail messages that drops the persons name: "Your friend has given you a crystal", etc. Instead of saying OK, you can close the mail, close the GN app, go back to GC, re-login. Then the friends' names are there in mail the next time you open it. Hope this helps.

Hi Lily! What type of device are you using? If you have an older iPad crashes will be a major headache due to not enough RAM to run memory intensive games like DV and Gizmo. Let me know.

Still no answer from BFS! I had to delete the majority of my friends when BFS put the icon on the friends and I was playing only on my phone. I could not access my game until I got under 40 friends from 138+ friends. I am now playing on an iPad 2 and have added many friends back. The crashing is only with Gizmos but I no longer do visits with DV due to the loading times and the amount of coins my park produces.

Hi Mindopod! It is nice to see a fellow Californian! Thank you for the additional RAM info. I forgot to add that tidbit, but I think most know how RAM works; but I could be wrong -LOL you know what they say about assuming?!
I haven't had any crashing problems at all so I do not know what is really going on. It may be a combo with BFS servers, GCID and member devices. I wish everyone koala!

I just finished my tour, visiting in wild order (i do sections like from tripleAAA to PixieWA etc) and here is the list if those which crashed. The list in order of appearance on my friends list: VP (very first time!) Altaluna Chilipepper Tikeltop Cecilia 000 99 .shantel. Mindopod Darian weber Dortif Chemnerd Madzixcs Tiskfix ChadKremer Onefingertypist
Vivi, Regarding crashes:
Yesterday I was on when you sent the crystal and went right to your outpost to see if you needed anything sped up. Maybe crossed wires adds to game crashes?
I have noted that when I crash after someone's outpost who normally does not crash, when I close the game and reopen, there is always mail waiting for me.
From your list I always crash after Altaluna (inactive player), MindoPod, DarianWebber, and ChadKremer.
I finally realised what this game needs: EXPLOSIVES!
When BFS increases the levels beyond 50, they need to add a difficult goal that unlocks a new icon. Something like 'Remove 5 Cosmic Cherry Trees'. Once that icon is unlocked you are given an explosive charge to blow up one of the meteors that is blocking the expansion of your outpost in a direction that you want to go. Let's see what those BFS programmers are made of!

I am so broke. I don't have enough robux to fight a battle. And my crystal goal to expand my outpost is going to remain for a day or two until I generate enough income to pay for the expansion.
This is a completely different dynamic from dragonvale. Which is kind of refreshing.
Someone mentioned paths and I have a lot of them in my park which people crash on. Maybe there is something to that.
I don't know what is making certain parks crash. People are reporting my outpost as crashing, yet I have very few paths.
Pixie, For the record, I have never crashed after visiting your park. Maybe the people who did had mail waiting for them.
