The Spooky Fence/Ghost pedestal combination came to be when I was running low on EC one year and didn't have enough for more fencing. During the first couple of years when I started playing, I always had a ton of Ghost fails every time we had a Halloween event. I'm talking close to a dozen every time. It was ridiculous. But their pedestals looked nice and I didn't want to just sell them without using them somehow. So I substituted fencing with Ghost pedestals. I like the way it looks so I keep using fails for decorations.
I also discovered a use for traited dragons as well this year. I got a Ghost fail in the Rift and realized that its glowing pedestal looks absolutely gorgeous, and the ethereal glow makes it extra spooky. I plan on using more of these glowing Ghost traited pedestals as my island develops and grows.
What I'd really like to do is try using Ghost pedestals and Amber pedestals to see how they look together. The Amber pedestals have a similar design and I think it would look nice to add a splash of orange color to the island in a unique way. The only problem is that Gemstone dragons are difficult to obtain. It would also be tempting to simply hatch an Amber dragon and add it my Gemstone island.
Love the Ghost pedestal! The Ghostly Ghost pedestal is nice as well and might help with the fence variation since Amber is difficult to obtain.
I did something similar with the Candy Cane Fence. I used Gift and Regift pedestals and the poinsettia deco between fences. The poinsettias are very appealing and match nicely with everything, so I started using them for fencing with the holiday pedestals and the small winter tree. It’s a very versatile deco with a tiny footprint. I like it a lot.
After six years of building and working on my Halloween island, my work is finally complete. Here's a look at the finished product with some close ups for detail. 🎃
I've also started a brand new Halloween 2.0 island. There's not much to it right now, but give it some time and a little love and I'm sure it'll grow just like first one. I especially love the new skeleton decorations and the creepy fog.
Wow! I’m so impressed, DragonMoonX! There’s so much care and attention to detail in your islands. Everything is placed for a specific reason and it totally makes sense. I feel like I could walk around your islands on the paths and have an amazing adventure!
Incredible work! I can tell it took a really long time to design. 🎃
So I have posted screenshots using Imgur before, but today can’t get my photo to show up. I have read and reread the instructions for posting from Imgur several times and can’t find out what the problem is. Anyone have any suggestions . I’m using a iPad Pro. I have been able to send an email to someone using an Imgur URL.

When you use Imgur, there are two URLs for the image, Link and Post Link. You want to select Post Link. The URL should end with an image file like .jpg, .png, etc.
On an iPad Pro, if you’re using the Imgur app, long press on the image you uploaded, and select Copy Post Link. On the Forum, in your post you can either use the 'picture' button and paste the URL in the Image URL line, or in your post tap the BBCode tab and type
[img]insert image URL here[/img] Tap the Preview tab to see what the image will look like before pressing the Create Post button.
My problems posting this may have been in moving too fast as I ended up getting this after repeating the same process Adlerist outlined three times. And that was the same process I followed days before. Except I just slowed down and did each step very deliberately. The first version of Eldritch Island with the: Original Apocalypse dragons Five basic Eldritch dragons, four in costumes Five twin Eldritch dragons, four in costume Ten rifted elemental Eldritch dragons, not costumed. Four rifted Eldritch dragons in costumes. It won’t be complete until all four costumed dragons are present in each of the 10 rift elements …36 more dragons. Costumes will take the longest. A new island will also be necessary.

🗽 ELDRITCH ISLAND IS AMAZING! 🗽
Wow, I love the dragon plan you have for it! So many Eldritches and so many costumes. The traited versions are stunning! You may need to use the Gargantuan or Overgrown Islands to fit all the Eldritches on one. But two standard islands will be perfect since you can use the Eerie and/or Spooky Island Themes.

Thank you for posting a picture of your Eldritch Island. It looks amazing. It is going to be quite a challenge to get enough costumes for all the rift variants. 😊
gkvale WOW! This is so impressive and obviously took a lot of dedication. It's beautiful and i love being able to go look and see how the traits look on each Eldritch. ROTFL i knew you wouldn't stop there! YOU GO GIRL!!! You ROCK! ❤️
Eldritch Island is my first project after deciding to step off the treadmill and “retire” from events. If during Dragon Weeks or Bring ‘em Back, I stay away from spending event currency on anything else, getting the costumes for all the variants of traited Eldritches shouldn’t be too onerous.
Until I have enough I will be rotating through the elements and costumes to see how each looks. Currently there are 20 Eldritch dragons in hibernation waiting for shrouds and habitats. Without the shrouds, rifted Eldritches don’t have much trait color except the eyes. With shrouds it is outstanding!
This is Ma Goody Island, the home of all dragon related agricultural activities. Ma Goody’s Treatery emits an endless array of aromas, some of them appetizing. Visitors can stay in the Pumpkin Pad at the south end of the island. The dining room is excellent.
A vicious rumor has circulated for years that Ma is making hooch on the side. Vale residents periodically patronize the Treatery at unusual times well outside of normal business hours carrying jugs of every size and description. Vale Security has tried to bust Ma on many occasions - without success. Every time there is a Treatery raid nothing is found except fresh donuts.

This is lovely. Very harvesty and autumny.
Fresh donuts. 🤣 Sounds like Ma Goody's crystal ball is working. 😉

Oh my gosh! It’s so obvious that the hooch is inside the doughnuts. Which Vale detective was assigned to this case? Did they not think it was odd when they became drunk after eating a doughnut? Or question why Ma Goody’s Treatery has been renamed Ma Goody’s Speakeasy?

Ma Goody Island looks absolutely delicious! 🌾🌽🥕
It seems a sizable percentage of Vale Security staff are dedicated consumers of Ma’s after-hours libations.
The Autumn Pavilion is indestructible, a useful consideration for high risk environments. A full grown Bounteous dragon lives next door to my Autumn Pavilion and occasionally does its trademark bellyflop right onto the top of the pavilion which is still standing with no visible damage whatsoever. I did not install a lightning rod on the top of my Autumn Pavilion. An impaled Bounteous dragon is not my idea of an attractive weather vane. But a Quaa dragon might work in this application. Something to think about.
(I finally figured out a way to store all my Oasian Dragons without having to use Paradise Habitats!)
This is absolutely lovely! I really like the use of so many flowers and trees. It blends in really well with the island theme. I also like the symmetry, and how you used two different objects that are basically the same shape or colour. Gaia looks very happy and snug in her nest!

I spent quite a bit of time gathering the decorations needed from around my park - mostly from the Lost Island, which is where Gaia and the Enchanted Breeding Cave had been.
The most difficult part, however, was trying to fight the lag off while decorating. DragonVale crashed thrice while I was attempting to sort out which (whatever) decorations I was going to use, which made things a bit tedious.

This is Ma Goody Island - the OTHER Ma Goody Island. This one has Goody’s Sugar Shack which rivals Harrods in the quality and scope of the chocolate offerings. In addition, at the Sugar Shack you can also buy Ma Goody’s Big Bertha Fiery Fig truffles - something you definitely won’t find at Harrods. There is an assortment of rainbow dragons for your viewing pleasure after your visit to the island’s main attraction.

This looks like carnival heaven for sweet tooths and Willy Wonka kids!
I love the use of flowers and the Sweetened Saplings. So sugary and rainbow-y. And Chromacorn appears to be so pleased — her life is all beer and skittles!
Since Decorator's week has finally returned, be prepared to tune in for redesigned island tours!
Starting strong first with the Light Island - the final primary dragon island in which had not been decorated. This one highlights the bright, arid days of the Sandara Desert.
The center most habitat, which is empty in the photo, contains Mirror and Radiant dragons.
