Thank you Chem. I can see that my dragons will become more and more limited into the future. Here's my problem. I bought this iPad Mini for my moms 80th birthday and she loved it. We found out 9 months later that she had stage 4 cancer and she passed away about 10 months after the diagnosis and I inherited the mini back. She held the mini nearly every day reading on it and playing her games until very near the end. Kind of sappy of me but I put the dragons on it soon after I got it back so I could keep holding it every day like she did. She has been gone now about three years which is why the mini is so old. I, myself, have an iPad Pro. I've a different game center account than the one I put on the mini. I made her game name after her favorite color and flower. So I would kind of want to keep that name...So...that is the background.
The question. Is it possible to open the original dragons on my iPad Pro keeping two different game center names? If not is it possible to somehow transfer my dragons from the mini to my pro without losing three years of progress and hundreds of dragons? I can play a less intensive game on the mini to keep it going until it too passes away to my mom.
Thanks for any help with this situation!
That's one amazing way to keep a piece of her memory, and there are certainly ways you can get multiple parks loaded on your ipad pro. First, make sure you know your game center email address and password for both devices. You can open up Settings->Game Center and it should tell you what email is being used. Different versions of ios have different ways that this page appears, but on the latest it's found under the Game Center on/off switch at the top.
You can turn off Game Center, then turn it back on on your ipad pro. You'll get a message stating that you can login as your name, using the email shown in the message, or you can say you're not that person and you'll be given the option to login as another email. Choose another person and use the email from your ipad mini now, and it will log you into that account for your ipad pro. Make sure DV isn't running, force close it, and then start it up. It will log you in using the new game center id. It may still have your original park at first, but you can go to options and click 'Switch Park'. You should see the ipad mini park on the list, and select that. Now you're fully logged into to the other park.
You can go back to your original park using the same method. Log out of game center and log in using your original email, and restart DV. What's even better is that you've now linked the two accounts on your device, and you'll likely be able to login to either one with switch park. But you'll only be able to send gems on the account that's connected to your game center email being used at that moment. At least that's how it worked until very recently, I've not tried this in the past couple months.
Just keep in mind that many other games use game center ids to track your progress, so if you play something other than DV then you'll want to be sure to be on the correct game center account when playing that game.

I keep messing up trying to reply. Sorry. Ok so, thank you for the explanation. One more question. I have never had the dragons on my iPad Pro. Do I need to download a copy first to be able to access the Dragonvale that is on the mini? I do have other games on the iPad Pro that use game center just not Dragonvale.
Ah, I had thought you had two accounts, one on the pro and one on the mini. If you've never played on the pro then you'll need to download Dragonvale on the pro. You could start it up for the first time while logged in with the the mini game center account, and it'll go straight to that game.
Another thing you could try is to contact Backflip support and explain the situation, while playing on the mini. Ask if they can move your park from the mini Game Center id to your new ipad pro Game Center id. If they're willing to do this, then you don't have to do any of the above and you'll just have the park on your ipad pro.

I’m sure I’m slow to the party to notice this. I just recently got all the Ghostlies, and noticed my dragonarium is spewing ghost-shaped smoke. I love that!

I'm using my wishlist to keep track of things I don't have yet. My question is if it says that a dragon is "unavailable" can it be bred. I don't believe I have ever done it, but friends say they have. I'm not so sure.

If it says 'Not Available' then it can not be bred using it's normal combination from the breeding hint. Most dragons can still be cloned though, if you use one as a parent in the breeding. This can be done if you have one and want a second, or if you have a friend in the social co-op with the dragon and you want to try to copy it. There are a few dragons that can't be cloned this way, such as the evolved dragons from events last year that require both parents to be able to clone, or trying to clone rift dragons from the social cave fails too.

Geez, I've been away from this game for so long because of real life. I haven't played since December. I'm so far behind on everything. And I never did figure out the whole rift breeding thing. But I'm going to try getting back in the swing of things. Hopefully my koalas haven't gone on vacation while I was away. 🐨

Welcome back! the biggest thing maybe, is the new in game friending system go to Friends Request and ID’s thread for how to in the OP, then if you want more friends, pick a name put it and your allocated number in your signature, turn it into a hot link if you wish, the wonderful Arkynos will add you to the big list, and then you ask for friends in the Friends thread. There’s no notification, so you either post or pm. Most Valers are going through the list in OP and then advising that in a general post, asking for others to add them back...
Have fun with the catchup 😈🐨🐨

I like the sound of the new friend system. I'll have to check it out.
Also, a bit of good news. Apparently my koalas did not go on vacation. I now have Fever and Smolderbrush added to my collection. Now I just need to level up so I can get a new island for my cute little babies.

Question for the knowledgeable ones; if I can’t be bothered trying to work out what I can and can’t breed and what I need, in the Rift (and having tried for 2months now to get a RKnarr, failed) if I just breed Rchroma x Rchroma, does that give a scattershot chance at everything that is riftable, and is not the current new dragons? Thanks for assistance, I’m still utterly Rifted and can’t be bothered trying to keep lists etc anymore 😟😅 it’s just become a chore with little joy

Broadly speaking, yes, this will give you everything that is riftable and available, providing it doesn't require two particular dragons to breed - like a gemstone. The sandbox is pretty accurate with this breeding combo.
I assume that you were using another Knarr in the Rift as it isn't currently available?

Yep, rknarr x rknarr up to E10,000 daily for 2 months! And nada
thanks for the confirmation 😊 roll the dice from now for a while for me, WORK those pretty wee Chromacorns 😄

What’s even more frustrating is when you level them up to 20 because supposedly the odds are better and you still can’t clone them!
In the rift, from my own experience, I have better luck cloning with only one parent (not counting evolved dragons). I found this out with the dragon boat donations and trying to get various pedestals. On the other side of the vale like+like works better for me. 🤔

I’ll try it, so rknarr with rcold maybe... thanks!

I got a 12 hour incubation timer for what looks to be flower dragon.
Anyone have any ideas?
There are a lot of dragons that have a twelve hour breeding time. May I suggest that you put the dragons you used into the Sandbox, it will give you a list of dragons that you may have bred. Don't forget to tick the box 'upgraded breeding' if you used the upgraded breeding caves.
Just as a quick check in: are we all still crashing incessantly while panning around the park or is that just me now? It's making egg hunting rather annoying, getting to the last egg, three quarters of the way round *CRASH* and it's changed places again. Fun fun fun fun, FUN.
