Isn't this the first time we have had a locked combo with two epics for a dragon?
Dawn and Dusk also had that (combo is Sun + Moon). Also technically the Snowflakes and Monoliths because they're all epics.
True. Then again both gold Olympus and dream are considerably harder than the above. And snowflakes and monoliths weren't bred because they were "given" to us.

Any idea if this can be cooperatively bred?
Several of us over at the Cooperative Breeding Thread are putting up one or the other of the parents in hopes of helping others get this even if they don't have one of the parents. dragonvale-tips.proboards.com/post/128537
Ok i am sharing my twin gold olympus now. First try, something like 4 hours fail, no success either with second pair in the island breeding place. Koala to all
Time to rev up ye old regular breeding caves again! looks like I'm going to put off hatching all those twin dragons @-@ I've managed to accumulate way too many!

Me, too, and my first fails are 35 hrs & 25.5 hrs. This is going to be hard on the gem stash. I may never get the Lost Island.

I've put my Gold Olympus in the CBC in case anyone is "dreaming" of twins.
Funny thing to me is this: after trying for about six months of nearly solid breeding before successfully breeding my first Dream, I was thrilled. In stark contrast, my second attempt at Elysium yielded, from my perspective, nothing more than a 50-hour bottleneck. How fickle my dragons must think I am!
Here's to everyone fulfilling their dreams, whether dragon-related or otherwise.

I just made Elysium available in the CBC! I'd be so happy to have your dragons breed with it in the hope of getting an Elysium or, dare I say it, an Elysium twin. It is truly a gorgeous dragon.
My GCID is ____________ in case we're not already friends and you want to (at least according to the sandbox) increase your odds.
Would one of you kind Moderators please list my Elysium along with my GCID on the sharing page?
Koala!

Only 1 Dream dragon, so using the EBI for the higher %. This might be a mistake, actually with all the epic fails.
Any idea why it's limited?
I'm thinking that Elysium is probably designed to be acquired by co-op breeding. Allow it to be bred normally for a short while with a ridiculous combo and those who get it allow others to breed it via co-op and the epic breeding rules. And thus they spread.
I say this because according to the sandbox, as a parent it only contributes its Olympus elements to the breeding pool. This gives it only 15 fails if you co-op breed eg Elysium + Olympus. That's a lot less than the 111 from the actual combo. I mean, they can't exactly hand out all the future co-op dragons forever like they did the Galaxies and this seems a logical way to continue.

Good thoughts. I was just wondering if it was tied into some real world event that I wasn't aware of.

I see you also put it in the other thread. But just a note that I am only updating the list based on posts in the DV 3.0 thread. It's too much to keep track of otherwise.

At the same time...3+ weeks in, I don't have all the Galaxy dragons and still need 6 egg pedestals.
and this really just piling on my list of missing dragons.
On the bright side, I do have 3 Dreams +3 Gold Olys..."triple my chances" of breeding the Elysium.
Mods - I put up Dream (lvl 10), for co op breed. Thank you!
Should I feed Dream up to higher lvl?
Some friends touch your heart in a way that you can never erase.
SO last night (Aussie Time) I bred a third golden olympus dragon, thinking I wouldnt need it I sold it. I even thought to myself, wow that one's a hard one to get.
Then ELysium happened >_<
