Oh, just checked the sandbox, there are only 112 possible outcomes, ie 111 possible fails. That s gonna be tough.
I read someone's post on the wiki that you can get Elysium an "easier" way if you can breed with a friend. I checked out what they were saying. In the sandbox it gives a .5% chance with gold Olympus and dream, but there's a 10% chance if you breed gold Olympus, or silver or bronze with an Elysium and there are only 7 fails over 20 hours that way. I don't know where the co-op breeding site falls in there in relation to the cave and the island but it seems a better way to go. Mono 1 + Elysium has 8 fails over 20 hours.... There's 42 combos that use Elysium that are better odds than the dream and golden Olympus. So THANK YOU to those of you that are offering your Elysium dragons!

I'm not sure I trust the percentages in Sandbox. They don't seem to have testing behind them.
Last night I used lots of gems in my little park and tried to breed an Elysium the 'natural' way with Dream and Gold Oly.... I used more than a thousand gems with copious amounts of long fails. I gave up and went to bed when I had used virtually all my gems. This morning (in my main park) I paired a Bronze Oly with an Elysium in the cooperative breeding cave and got my first Elysium (with the help of 400 gems) the majority of the fails were between 5 & 12 gems with only a few 20/24 gem fails.
I'm now sharing the Elysium, so my friends and my (no gem) little park can have a chance at it, lol

The breeding % as listed in the game rules.
Gold Olympus + Elysium in the breeding cave or CBC - 3% Epic + Elysium in the CBC - 2% Elysium + Elysium in the CBC - 5%
I'm not sure on the numbers for Epic + Elysium or Elysium + Elysium in the breeding cave. Bloodstone do you have any info on this? Might have to do some testing ...
We think it's doubled in the Breeding Island to 6%, as that's the pattern for other epics. Our best guess is that higher level dragons in the breeding cave add 0.15% for each level of one of the parents above 10. This is just blatant guesswork as the amount of testing required is crazy big. We are not sure how much of an advantage higher level dragons in the Breeding Island are, as we think there is probably a cap on the success rate. Again, crazy amount of testing required to get a definitive answer.
Also, there is a set of criteria that has the breeding chance Elysium at 6% we are not sure what that is. But something *cough cough* opens the floodgates. You'll know more when we do.

This is both fascinating and confusing. How can you even tell!?!

Currently breeding for whatever twins I can possibly get my hands on

I have changed my coop dragon to dream at the request of a friend.
Keeping it selected is making my head explode.
First, breed my goly with someone else's dream in the coop cave. Then, select my only dream as my coop dragon and breed him in a regular cave with one of my golys.
It is way too easy to slip up and commit the dream to a cave without first selecting him for coop breeding, or to accidentally override the selection byt putting a pair in the coop cave while dream is likewise unavailable in a cave.
It would be great if bfs would allow us to designate a cooperative dragon even if that dragon us currently getting it on in one of the caves instead of making the currently breeding dragons inaccessible.

A Google search of Elysium + dragon + June tells me that Elysium fields appear in the Players Handbook for Dungeons & Dragons and the first edition was published in June 1978.
I certainly hope this one is here for a while. Those fails are pretty daunting. And my first breed has got me a Cyclops.
I'm with you. My first breed was an Electrum, second a Dream in the CBC, third, how refreshing, a Frostbite, and Fourth an Olympus. Right now I am sitting here with a half empty nursery; however, tomorrow, I'll probably have a back log. Unfortunately, I think a message I got said it is here for a very limited time.

For what that's worth ...
That was a brilliant idea for a search string. I forgot that part of the fun to this game is reverse engineering the BFS designers' creative logic. Very clever all 'round. Have you already divined what that mystery dragon they teased us with a few weeks ago will be?

Question! If Elysium Dragon's breeding pair is fixed at Dream Dragon and Gold Olympus, will breeding my XXX Dragon and my friend's Elysium Dragon in the Cooperative Breeding Cave still yield an Elysium Dragon??
Um. Is it a dream habitat dragon or a Olympus habitat dragon?
Both. I decided to keep mine in a Olympus habitat, because it looks more like the Olympic dragons, especially the snowy ones.
Really happy with my gorgeous avatar by ElektronX! GCID: Andr3i4 Any and all friends for Cooperative Breeding are welcome. Gladly accepting any twins also.
Question! If Elysium Dragon's breeding pair is fixed at Dream Dragon and Gold Olympus, will breeding my XXX Dragon and my friend's Elysium Dragon in the Cooperative Breeding Cave still yield an Elysium Dragon??
Yes. Many of us are doing just that, breeding Epic + Elysium in the CBC.
Please refer to Sandbox for more combination, I recall Aurora, LYD, Mono, and ? yield an average fail time between 16 - 17 hr.
Some friends touch your heart in a way that you can never erase.

Like Buffy said, as long as xxx is an epic of some type you are good to go.

This is starting to get ridiculous! Breed number 5 is another Dream.
